Firstly this hotel is ideal if you want to be able to see your kiddies swimming and like small places. The food was nice, managed to eat every meal but kids struggled, but they are fussy. The swimming pool has tiles missing, I cut my toe. You can play table tennis, tennis and mini golf for free. Not much entertainment. Internet is shocking, loses signal all the time. No air con in room, we did hire for 60 euros but you have to have the door open for tube to go out and therefore you can hear noise and is a security risk. My parents went without and were fine. The air con is only in one room. No snacks/ice cream during day, although slush drink is available. Beds were comfy. No freezer. No kettle but is a silver jug thing you can boil water. Only allowed 2 drinks each- adults and 1 drink-child. Only a 15 min drive from airport. We hired a car and went to Mcdonalds, Race track (over 16 on main track) dunes (beautiful) Holiday world was ok and a 5 min walk away. You need to save a bed early or you won't get one. Overall holiday is what you make it and we had a great time. We only paid £331 each for flight and hotel so when you think how much the hotel is actually getting paid its very cheap. Weather was lush :)

Just returned from my first visit to Turbo Club and Gran Canaria. My expectations weren't great as I read some not very good reviews! But I have learnt everyone's opinions are different so tried to go with an open mind. RECEPTION.. We visited reception quite a few times and found we were dealt with quickly, but some of the staff could be a little more welcoming, smiles go a long way! DINING HALL.. This was a lot smaller than what I have been used to in the past and also the serving area was quite small although our party of 7, with one vegetarian and a baby never went hungry. There was a variety of food for me as I like to try different things so if you're quite fussy this may not be brilliant for you. Desserts were basic, ice cream, jelly, fruit, rice pudding or mousse and no cake! Cakes at snack time at 3pm, I didn't find very nice. Soft drinks were sweet but there is a water dispenser next to the drinks machine. The Spar shop was reasonably priced, so you could stock up on water and other necessities. BAR..I never had to queue long, if at all, and the '2 drink' policy didn't cause a problem for us. I loved the San Fransisco cocktail and although local spirits, they didn't hold back on the pouring of them!! Warning...the water served at the bar is in fact tap water, even though they have it in bottles or jugs! APARTMENT.. Clean and a good size. We didn't use the cooker but the fridge and the kitchen sink came in handy. Yes, the apartments are extremely hot and I didn't feel totally comfortable leaving the front door and bedroom window open whilst I was outside on the balcony. We arrived when the island was covered in a massive cloud which was a result of the dust from the Sahara dessert, so there was no sun but it was stiflingly hot. I decided to pay the 60 euros for an air-conditioning unit but they had none left even though I returned every day to check. we paid £17 euros for a fan (they aren't strong) and it stopped working after 2 days. We returned it and the guy at reception said he would replace it but we would probably loose the 10 euro deposit! I did argue the point! 2 days later the replacement fan did the same thing! We spoke to a different person and they replaced it and made sure we got deposit back because "they're no good, it always happens" and we did get our deposit back. A family told us they went out and bought their own for 18 euros and would pass it on to someone else when they left. Some of our party complained about the pillows and I have read reviews stating the beds weren't comfortable but I personally found them to be fine. Our apartment was right next to the entertainment and bar but we had no problems with noise.... POOL... We spent a lot of time at the pool as our balcony was downstairs and close to the pool. My daughters went to get sun beds at around 8.30 and didn't ever have a problem with this. A maintenance man suggested we drag 2 onto our balcony and that way he wouldn't lock them up so we would have them for the next morning. Yes, some tiles have come away at the bottom so needs to be repaired but this isn't all over the pool. ENTERTAINMENT... Very hit or miss. Mini disco was about 4 songs long. There were a few funny nights and an excellent animal show where the kids could touch snakes, an alligator, iguana and then have a picture holding them, 10 euros. There was darts, rifle shooting (under 16s could only watch) and water polo which my daughter enjoyed. There isn't much around the hotel but cabs are very reasonable. There is a good market a 10 minute walk away on Wednesdays and Saturdays and also quite a few shopping areas a 4 euro taxi ride away. Holiday World was good for a couple of nights but there wasn't lots there for the 4 year old in our party. We met Scott, an English fella who hires bikes and arranges tours, who was very helpful. He gave us a map and highlighted shopping areas, the beach, nightlife etc. We booked a Catamaran day trip but found it wasn't suited for us with a baby and smaller children so feel the 45 euros per over 12 year old and 25 per child would have been better spent elsewhere. Overall, the holiday was enjoyed by us all. I wouldn't necessarily go back but that is because I like to visit different places.

Recently got back from 11 nights all inclusive at this hotel!! Food was disgusting and undercooked most of the time! Rooms had no aircon and was unbareable to sleep which led to having to pay an extra 100 euros to have a reasonable nights sleep by renting an aircon unit and a fan due to the air con unit only being available for a week minimum at a time! The toilets beside the pool were filthy and on 2 occasions actually had faeces around the seats and on the floor. The pool area was dangerous as they're was tiles missing. The staff were so rude and never made effort to make your stay enjoyable! The beach IS NOT walking distance and finally there is not enough sun beds for all guests which creates a race in the morning to get one! Will not be recommending this hotel or staying there again!

We have just returned from a week hol at turbo club we had a lovely time! Yes the room was basic but it was clean and being all inclusive kitchen wasn't needed apart from the fridge for water. The staff work very hard to keep the place clean Especially as some people don't know how to use a bin! Swimming pools were great we preferred the quiet 1 both salt water. We overlooked the other pool which was very entertaining watching people almost hitting each other with sunbeds to get them out in their preferred place then put towels on but hardly use them, no wonder they lock them up at night. Entertainment not really our thing so cant comment. Food was a little bit repetitive but we didn't go hungry, yes soft drinks aren't as nice but alcohol was definitely not watered down if anything was to strong. There isn't alot to do close by but free bus is great also taxi cheap so we were able to do other things. Kids loved it thats the main thing. Would recommend if you want a cheap quiet hol.
