We stayed for a week in February, it was a very good experience. All inclusive was a high standard, lots of choice for food and drinks and a relaxed approach to self service and waiter service. Theme...
We stayed at this hotel during Aug 2014, it was very clean and well kept, the food was perfectly acceptable, always found something to eat, more importantly to us the kids (12 and 8) had a fabulous time, they were entertained, made lots of friends, actually we didn't see them very much. The hotel is well situated, walkable (15 mins) into town, a taxi ride to a lovely beach and taxi to waterpark. We had a two bedroom room which I would recommend, friends had a standard room and for 4 pax this was a bit tight. As always there were a few niggles - the early morning start for sun beds around the entertainment pool, the occasional cockroach, only one change of beach towel during the stay and what looked like a pool bar was shut. Overall this hotel provided everything we wanted for the price, although I did feel a bit hemmed in, will ensure next time that hotel is directly on a beach!!

Stayed here for one week. Unfortunately weather was not good, very cold for most of the week and the hotel just does not cope with cold weather. There was no heat in the rooms or in the public areas and they kept all the doors wide open even though there was a freezing cold wind blowing through the place - bizarre! Folk were going to dinner with coats on! The food was good but in a cold restaurant it didn't stay hot for very long on the plate which rather spoilt it. Think this place needs to give some serious thought to providing some form of heat or close during the winter months. Got a good deal price wise with Thomas Cook, maybe that's why. Will not be going again.

We stayed here last May and this February, both during half term school holidays as we have two children, now aged 8 and 9. My husband and I were dubious about going to an all-inclusive resort when we booked the first time, as we had a very bad experience with one in the past. We tried this place as our May holiday was also with my mother and sister, who usually go all-inclusive, and as we had been to Corralejo before we knew if we did not like it there would be plenty of restaurants and so on within walking distance. However, we were very pleasantly surprised - so impressed that we immediately booked to go back again! We booked directly with the hotel for our second visit, as their website is excellent and the reception and office staff incredibly efficient. They booked transfers from the airport for us and it meant that our little family of four had a very comfortable air-conditioned bus all to ourselves for both journeys - this felt like a luxury and very much worth it. The bus was waiting for us at the airport and for our return flight home I asked to change the pickup time to an earlier one and the reception staff made a quick phone call to change it there and then. I would definitely book directly with the hotel again as it was actually simpler and easier than the whole tour operator experience, which I often find annoying, and with. Hotel as efficient as this, there really is no need. We had emailed a month before arriving to confirm flight times for the transfers, and asked to have a room near the main pool, and we got exactly that. Some reviews here have said that the food is rubbish or repetitive, but we absolutely disagree with that. The only thing we found a little repetitive was the lunch menu in the pool bar, but then this is the smaller restaurant and there is the choice to go to the main restaurant at lunchtime instead if you want more variety. We found that there was still enough choice and it was wonderfully convenient to not have to wander far from the pool to eat lunch. We were spoilt for choice every day at dinner: a different theme every night and so many lovely looking dishes it was hard to choose which to have. The salads were plentiful and fresh and everything was topped up regularly. There was a chocolate fountain on two days during our week, in addition to the usual deserts, and obviously our children loved that. This is a VERY family friendly hotel. The restuarants were busy but relaxed, and staff were on the whole very warm and welcoming as well as efficient. A child dropped a plate by the salad bar and it was swept up in seconds with no fuss - the mother seemed more upset by the mess than the staff. They accommodated large parties, people with babies in buggies who needed high chairs, and people with walking sticks and wheelchairs all very easily. Our children loved that they could help themselves to drinks and ice cream during the day, which gave them a taste of independence, as well as multiple 'coke floats' when I wasn't looking! The only problem was that the soft drinks dispenser in the pool bar was so far back on the very high bar that they had to half climb to reach it, or ask an adult. (In the main restaurant they could reach easily). The animation team/entertainment staff were excellent. They had activities organised every morning and afternoon, with two options for adults and one for the older children (over 7s I think) as the littlest children went to a separate kids club to be entertained by two other members of the team. Just before each session they went round to chat to everyone around the pool to see if they wanted to join in, but we're not too pushy if, like a lot of tired parents needing a rest, you said no thank you. When I said I could not take part as I had hurt my back the week before, Emily, the English member of the team, showed me a couple of stretching exercises to try, which I did and my back pain, which had been intense for almost a week up to that point, went away! Amazing! She also checked on me every day after that, and helped me with other exercises too. I cannot thank her enough, as it freed me to enjoy more of my holiday. This was a perfect example of how excellent most of the staff at this hotel are, and that they absolutely go the extra mile to help you enjoy your holiday. Our only gripes with this place were that for our recent visit in February the maid who cleaned our room was not very good and also quite grumpy with us on the first morning when she asked to clean our room at 9.30am and I asked her to come back in five minutes as we were just gathering up our pool stuff after breakfast and heading out for the day. She was not happy, went off in a huff and did not come back until very late afternoon. There was a kettle and two plastic cups in the room this time (an improvement as we did not have one last May - but proper cups would be nicer) and she did not rinse these out at all, or wipe down the tray they were on, or the unit. My son wet the bed one night and I changed it in the night, replacing the hotel sheet with a coloured spare I had brought from home. This had happened last May one night too, and our maid then took our sheet off and put a fresh hotel sheet over the disposable mattress protector I had brought and neatly folded our spare. This visit's maid just left it, and when I took it off the next day (in case we needed it again) she just made the bed up as it was, with the top sheet then used as the bottom one. We had an excellent maid last time, who would clean very thoroughly and also delighted my daughter by arranging her pjs in a fan shape on her pillow. We were very disappointed that this level of service was not upheld by our maid this time, and we felt that she was letting the hotel down. However, that, the now free but annoyingly patchy wifi (they need to upgrade their router to cope with the increased demand) and the fact that the very lovely looking and deep pool directly outside the spa centre is not heated and so ridiculously freezing that it is impossible to swim in there even in May, are our only negatives. Overall this is an excellent hotel, good value, perfect for families as there is plenty to do, lots of space, good choice in very relaxed restaurant surroundings and fantastic entertainment. We will definitely go back sometime.

Have just returned from a two week holiday in Suite Atlantis. We had booked an adults only premium suite. I emailed a request for a sunny room with a view. Checking was smooth and a porter took us to the room. Unfortunately the suite was ground floor and sheltered by a high hedge. We requested a move , and the following day we were given a first floor suite overlooking the beautiful gardens( rooms are either ground or first floor). Very pleased with the size, and loved the welcome fruit and drinks. The staff are all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to the guest services manager Thomas. We told him we had a problem with the fridge not working, within half an hour the fridge was replaced. He takes special care to ensure the guests are happy. Our room was kept spotless by Sofia. The Food was delicious. So much selection we were spoilt for choice. The only reason our food was cool at times was because we took so long wandering up and down the food displays trying to decide what to have.!!!!! The Spanish a la carte restaurant is a must to visit. In fact we went several times including Valentines night, which was well worth the €7 extra per head. It was a 7 course meal, beautifully cooked and presented . Mario and team, you give a fantastic service, thank you. Not so keen on the Asian restaurant but that is just a personal opinion. Before our holiday I read reviews saying how good the activities team were. I must reiterate this. They work tirelessly to ensure everyone has a great holiday. We had the choice of the peace of the adults only area or the main family areas where the activities take place. Loved the boules!!! Have read poor reviews about the AI drinks . We're not conisuirs but found the cocktails very nice. Thanks Karen. Just one small niggle. We were charged €33 for the use of the safe. Having paid quite a premium for the premium suite we felt this should have been included, especially as a guest told us she had a free upgrade and her use of the safe was free. Would we go back to Hotel Suite Atlantis?? A deffinte YES. We met guests that have stayed 7 times. I think that is the best recommendation of all.!!
Corralejo enjoys year-round sunshine and very little rainfall. Average daytime temperatures vary between 16°C at the start of the year and 25°C during the peak months of July and August.
If that sounds a bit too hot, or if you're visiting with younger kids who are more sensitive to the sun, try taking a Corralejo holiday outside of peak time - perhaps in October or February when the island still enjoys mild weather of around 23° Celsius, so a tan is still possible! The island also receives mild north-easterly winds all year round, so you’ll receive a welcome breeze whatever time you visit. Take particular care during peak season, though, as the breeze can disguise the strength of the sun.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
