This was our 4th visit to Las Marismas, although we have normally gone in the summer July/August this was our 1st visit at Easter, the weather was kind to us (26/28 degrees), although it did go chilly in the evenings, so you needed a cardie/hoodie. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Corralejo, the hotel has very little going on during the day and night, the evening entertainment is poor to say the least, but within an easy 5/10 minute stroll to the main strip, you will find a wide selection of shops/bars and restaurants. Venture down to the marina and find the locals hotspot, great seafood restaurants and local entertainment. Las Marismas is well maintained, and the grounds well looked after, the pools and poolside areas are cleaned every other day and there are plenty of sunbeds available, we have never had a problem getting sun beds even in the summer months, The rooms are very spacious with 1 or 2 balconies and well equipped for self catering guests, they come with flat screen TV's (there are about 15 English channels including 2 childrens cartoon channels). We had one of the few 3rd floor rooms which gave great views over the hotel grounds and local scenery. The restaurant was as good as ever, lots of choice, and freshly cooked specialities every evening, the poolside snack bar is a favourite of ours for lunch rather than the restaurant, and the all inclusive drinks are of a good quality. Take note that there is no FREE ice creams for kids outside of the main restaurant opening times, although you can buy them at the poolside bar or supermarket. The supermarket is well stocked for self catering guests and there are several other supermarkets a short walk away. The African Market at the top of the strip is great for haggling, leather goods, handbags, jewellery and usual gifts you'd expect to find. Baku waterpark is just across the road from the hotel, this is an expensive day out, and in my opinion not worth it, not enough slides etc for a whole day stay. The hotel offers a FREE bus service to the famous sand dunes of Corralejo, where you can try out many watersports. This hotel will not suit everyone, but we like it, the lack of entertainment does not affect the value this hotel offers, and we would certainly return and recommend to anyone. Make sure you try out Retro's bar and the widely famous 7 pints bar, both have excellent food and entertainment every night of the week. If you can't manage without social media and internet access whilst on holiday, the wifi is free in the hotel lobby and if you are lucky by the pool. If I remember correctly you can pay for wifi access in your room.

Arrived at hotel and was greeted by very friendly member of staff. She gave us a key for the car park and explained everything about the hotel and gave us all the relevant information we needed. Room was very clean, we had a self catering apartment which was plenty big enough for 2 of us, rooms large and spacious with balcony doors from the lounge and bedroom. The bed is two singles pushed together which is not great as quite uncomfortable. We did have a problem with the lock on our door but we spoke with staff and was sorted straight away. There is a mini golf course on site which is really fun, and the pools and pool area is very very nice. The hotel is very clean and we did really enjoy our stay! We also had a lovely surprise when we returned to our room as they had left a note and bottle of wine for my partners birthday and we hadn't even mentioned it to them! Very attentive! Would recommend and would stay again! Good value for money and not far from town centre.

Just returned from a 7nt stay and have to say how pleased we were with the accommodation. Having stayed the last 2 years at the Atlantis Suites we needed a change and the Marismas was perfect and actually in our opinion much better than the Atlantis. We had a great room with a massive balcony, everything we could need withing the room and the grounds were so beautifully laid out and kept in pristine condition. There is a choice of 2 main pools and lovely little childrens pool which again were all well kept. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They have a great 18 hole mini golf course which is free to use for up to one hour each day, pool towels provided as well. Never a problem getting a sun bed even later in the day. We only ate there once in the Ala carte restaurant but the food was very good and excellent value for money. The position is ideal as its only a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the main town area. We will be going back for our Easter 2016 holidays without a doubt.

Well planned and beautifully laid out premises. Lovely gardens and a pretty pool area. 3 pools for different purposes, brilliant. Hotel has seen better days but just need some furniture replacing really. Mainly in the Lobby area, upstairs and downstairs. Rooms are spacious and clean with robust and sturdy furniture, the way I like them. Bathroom refurbished and up to date, loved the his and hers sinks and the shower. The best thing about the hotel has got to be the food, though. I found something really tasty every meal. Really good, value for money all inclusive. I could say I missed rosé wine in the all inclusive, point out some minor flaws about the hotel, but that would be nitpicking and a teeny bit ridiculous when all in all, it is a Pretty Good Hotel. Wouldn't mind returning and definitely recommend it.

Tourist Information

Weather

Corralejo enjoys year-round sunshine and very little rainfall. Average daytime temperatures vary between 16°C at the start of the year and 25°C during the peak months of July and August.

If that sounds a bit too hot, or if you're visiting with younger kids who are more sensitive to the sun, try taking a Corralejo holiday outside of peak time - perhaps in October or February when the island still enjoys mild weather of around 23° Celsius, so a tan is still possible! The island also receives mild north-easterly winds all year round, so you’ll receive a welcome breeze whatever time you visit. Take particular care during peak season, though, as the breeze can disguise the strength of the sun.

Jabs

As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
