Very disappointed with both the hotel and resort. Resort - not much to do. mainly restaurants and tourist souvenirs - restaurants mainly sell something and chips. WE found it very diificult to find spanish food and then only at a price! - Beach sandy, choice of chargeable sunlounger or towel on beach, but got very busy! - wonderful ice creams on sale throughout resort. Hotel -ground floor rooms at back of hotel have a view of a roof!!!! They are also unbearably hot with ineffective fans. Air conditioning is a chargeable option but only for the bedroom as there is no unit in the living/kitchen room. - higher up the view is better though the unsightly roof and air conditioning units are still visible. These air conditioning units are also very noisy and a large unit had to be continuously worked on (noisily) during our stay. Presumably it kept breaking down. This meant a man on the roof clanking noisily at the unit. - the pool was far too small for the number of guests trying to use it. - There were insufficient sun loungers for the number of guests and this encouraged guests to use towels to reserve their loungers at 8am or earlier. After 10am it then became virtually impossible to locate any unused or untowelled sun loungers. - our room was never cleaned during the entire 7 days of our stay. On our 5th day we checked how often the rooms were cleaned and we were informed that cleaning took place every 2 days. The lack of cleaning was a real problem to us as we also had no clean towels. The person on reception promised us clean towels (which did happen) and a room clean the following day (which did not happen - we did not make a fuss as we were leaving the next day and by then a room clean was pointless!). - rip off paying for wifi any where in hotel. Normal practice is to provide free in reception and public areas. Family boat trip - Not as described. Only stopped once for a 10min swim in the sea - the rest of the time the boat was intransit or docking to pick up further passengers. Lovely to see the coastline but it did get a bit boring.

We booked a week half board at the Playa Moreia in a single room for 4 people. We were given two adjoining rooms (606 and 605) at the back of the hotel and were very impressed with them. One room had a kitchenette with a 2 ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a fridge. This room also had a small table, chairs, TV (with a range of channels including UK) and a sofa bed. The other room had three beds. Both rooms had a balcony and we got two bathrooms, which were very nice. The rooms were clean with maid service was every other day. The rooms at the back of the hotel look out across open fields to the hills and get the sun the evening. The sea-view front room get the sun the morning, and are above the outdoor evening entertainment area. The pool is to the side of the hotel. Air con and the room safe is an extra charge. We paid for the safe which was 25 Euros for a week, but decided that the ceiling fans were adequate to keep the room cool. On the last day, with a night flight we paid 27 Euros to keep our room until we were picked up. We arrived in the middle of the night, and found four plates of food from the restaurant in the room, which were ‘free’ as part of our half board package. There was also as a welcome box containing some basic food and drink items. You only pay for what you use or keep from the box and the prices were not that expensive. A nice touch to get you started, especially if you arrive at night. The food provided as part of the half board package was ok. Not a massive choice at each meal, but ok. The staff are attentive, refilling the servery quickly and clearing the table quickly. Breakfast was mix of cold meats, cheese, bread etc, with a hot ‘English’ bacon, beans, egg etc. The evening meal was a mix of salad, cold meats, with 3 or 4 hot dishes. Drinks are provided with breakfast, but you have to pay for drinks in the evening. The prices were average and there is a 5% discount if you pay for drinks on your room account. I did note that the table next to ours purchased a full bottle of wine one evening, which was kept chilled for them to finish the next evening. Fussy children/adults might struggle with the limited selection. The evening entertainment was ok from what I could tell but we did not watch it, choosing instead to walk around the town and promenade. There was some daytime entertainment at the pool, but as we spent almost every day on the beaches had limited exposure to what was on offer. The hotel has a bit of a 70's feel to some of the styling, and parts of it looked a bit tired. Most importantly the rooms are ok did not have the same retro feel. The hotel itself is located right on the beach, at the side of a river that does not actually flow into the sea. The river is full of fish which are fun to feed, and does not smell or attract mosquitoes. There is a bridge over the river which leads to the seafront promenade walk down to a second bay and beach at Sa Coma. This is a 10 minute stroll. The beach in front of the hotel is nice, with sunbeds available to hire, and there is a good amount of room for those happy lying on a towel or beach mat. There are good selection of shops and bars around the bay. The beach was cleaned three times during the week to remove seaweed that had washed up. The beach at Sa Coma, is longer and far busier, and again has sunbeds to hire and space to lie on the beach, however there are fewer shops and bars at the beach as it is backed by several large hotels that appear to the All Inclusive. The shops and bars at So Coma are set back behind and to the side of the hotels. Both bays have a shallow sloping sea floor and you can walk out for a good distance. If you choose to eat out, there is a good selection of restaurants in both S'illot and Sa Coma, with most offering specials for around 9 or 10Euros in the evenings. There are good number of shops selling food and snacks, and you could easily find enough to go self catering, although the kitchenette in our room was limited if you wanted to cook anything. All in all, pleasantly surprised with the hotel and resort for what was a budget holiday. We paid £1400 during the first week of school holidays for flights, transfers, bags and a week half board for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Just returned from our 3rd visit to this hotel and can't fault it, friendly staff, clean rooms and fab views, couldn't ask for anymore. Have booked again for September! The beach is opposite hotel and there are bikes up the main strip to hire so you can go to next resorts along. Plenty to do if you don't like laying on the beach allday.
