Me and my girlfriend went in may 2015 and was a fab get away! Hotel staff were great, room was really good, in fact better than we expected, we went self catering at we had all the essential we needed provided, and hobs worked really good and fast. hotel is in the perfect location. Swimming pool wasnt heated so wasnt the best jumping in but it's a good size and it's nice to lie around the pool and look out to the sea. S'illot is simply stunning and perfect for relaxing holidays! Would go again tomorrow. Thanks to everybody at the hotel for making our stay so pleasent.

We stayed at the Moreia Apartments, half board, at the beginning of the summer holidays. First impressions of the hotel were that it is a bit dated appearance wise and the apartments could do with a bit of a touch up. We had a two bed sea view apartment on the 6th floor. The view is spectacular!! Although I wasn't too comfortable standing on the balcony, it felt a bit like it was sloping forwards which I guess is to drain off water but it did make me feel a bit giddy standing out there and the railing just didn't feel that safe so I just kept my daughter off it. The apartments are a good size although we only had one wardrobe. As other people have mentioned, there is no air-con in the sea view rooms, as we were on the 6th floor we were able to keep the patio doors open and kept the ceiling fans on constantly. The sun is on the apartment till just after lunch time. There isn't any kind of fan in the bathroom which we found to be quite stifling! The kitchen had plenty if you were self catering. There was a welcome hamper which we returned to the front desk as there is a Spar opposite the hotel entrance which wasn't unreasonably priced. The maid came every 2 days with fresh towels if we wanted them and the linen was changed once during our 10 night stay. We all found the beds very comfortable :) If you can't face the stairs then use the lifts that are to the left of reception, they are much quicker than the one to the right. The pools are clean and manned by a life guard, the size of the pool doesn't match the hotel. We always managed to get sun loungers but there are barely any parasols. The beach is less than a 1 minute walk away which is gorgeous. There is also a river that runs next to the hotel and ends at the beach leaving a lovely shallow area for little ones. The sea is also quite shallow in areas, it is also patrolled by life guards who were brilliant and efficient when my daughter needed first aid for a cut. There are pedalos to hire and that's it really, if you want water sports you will have to go up to Sa Coma which is only a 10-15 minute walk. S'illot is very quiet which makes it great for younger families. We were half board and in all we were happy with the food choices and selection. We only ate out once as we missed breakfast. We went to Fawlty Towers café because of the reviews people had given it on here, the four of us ate for about 20 euro's and it was really good! We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment we saw. fantastic variety and top quality! We didn't use the kids club but it seemed very popular and the guy that ran it was very, very hard working! He also ran entertainment activities by the pool during the day. The staff were all really friendly and polite, you could have a good laugh with the bar staff. You can tell that the owner really cares for his staff and the holiday makers. In summary, we had a great time, you just cannot fault the location! It was just what we needed for a relaxing break. I don't think anyone would be disappointed but of course everyone is different! The view from the apartment really was worth not having air con! For price, value and location I would definitely return to the Moreia!

Visited for 11 days in August with wife and daughter. On arrival our booking directly with hotel appeared to have an issue, however, the friendly receptionist Carmen, asked us to have lunch whilst she sorted it out. On our return we were upgraded to a bigger room with safe inclusive. Room was dated but adequate for family holiday, 2 rooms, 2 ensuites and self catering facilities, although basic were ok. We used the pool every day, which although smaller than in pictures served its purpose, although beach is only 100yds away. Overall the main benefit of this hotel is views of sea and its perfect location. Will definately consider this place again.

Arrived here at 5.20 am on the 29th of August only to be told by the night porter that we could not have our rooms until 2.00pm. I explained to him I had booked a 5.00 to 6.00am book in and showed him my email confirmation. He then showed us to 2 rooms. We were travelling with a 3 month old and a 1 year old so I was grateful that this porter had sorted us out. The rooms did not have the cots in that I had paid for but I was told that we would get them the following morning. This meant I had to make up a bed for my 3 month old son on the floor. When we woke a fee hrs later both my son and I had ants all over us. I went to reception to complain. At the reception I was greeted by a lady who said "oh you are the people that came a day early" Clearly I had booked for the 29th and arrived on the 29th. She then went on to tell me that they were charging me an extra nights accommodation! If I wanted cots I would have to pay an extra 25 euros a day. Hold on I had paid for 4 adults and 2 children, yet the children had nowhere to sleep! Our debate about me arriving "a day early carried on for a few minutes, until I realised this aparthotel is an unprofessional shambles. We are now on day 3. My 3 month old now sleeps on the settee and I sleep on the floor. We are full of ant bites. Everyday people are arguing at the desk for them charging them again for things they ave paid for. Yesterday a woman had booked to rooms to sleep 6 and they have given her one big room. The lady on reception is rude and arrogant and has no problem speaking English until you get the train El agent on the phone, she suddenly has a communication break down. This is to deter you from carrying on your complaint. They also leave you a food box, tucked in side is a piece of paper and on it, it tells you that you will be charged over 30 euros for the box. I would not stay here again if I was given it free.
