Stayed here with my family in mid July, myself and husband in our 30s, our two children age 3 and 13 and my parents in their 60s and we all had a fantastic time. The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the sea and near to the beaches, shops and nightlife. Although the beach opposite the hotel is not particularly sandy (more rocky) it is still lovely to sit and relax on ,quieter than the other beaches. A short walk to the left and right of the hotel are gorgeous long sandy beaches but they are very very busy! The pool is lovely and clean, perfect for a swim and to cool down, separate baby pool, shallow so great for little ones to splash about in. As with alot of hotels towels are down on the loungers by 8am so you have to be quick if you want to be by the pool for the day! The mini club was a bit few and far between and didn’t really cater for all ages, it was only open certain times of the day too but the kids disco early on in the evening was good fun for them. The entertainment was ‘entertaining’! It was varied and good, some nights better than others, the entertainment team were great fun really friendly and worked really hard all day and night. A couple of evenings we went out and as you step out the back of the hotel you enter a small but lively promenade of restaurants with music and shops with the the normal holiday things such as hair braiding, henna tattoos etc A long walk to the left and you can go in to Sa Coma town which is a lot bigger and livelier. Walk to the right and you will go in to S’illot with a few nice restaurants and bars. The food in the hotel was good / average, there was plenty of it, breakfast was varied, lunch and dinner great but there were a few random concoctions but you tend to get this in most places – we all ate well anyway ! The drinks were great, beer, wine and soft drinks on tap – help yourself spirits and cocktails were served from the bar and were plentiful! The rooms were very spacious, clean and tidy , the only thing I would say is definitely DO have air conditioning, ours did not work on the first evening and it was almost unbearable during the night at 27 degrees! Views are stunning lovely to wake up to. This was our first trip to Mallorca and we would definitely return to this hotel, we were dubious as it is 3 stars and has had a couple of bad reviews but I can honestly say it’s a fantastic hotel all in all.

My partner and I just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel on Saturday. Very clean and friendly hotel. The rooms are basic and slightly dated but comfortable and always kept very clean. The beds were fab, some kind of memory foam, and the best I have ever had abroad. The hotel has so many German guests the TV channels were nearly all German, except for Sky News, but as we didn't spend much time in the room it wasn't a big issue . We had very hot weather so paid the small additional charge for the air con and it was well worth the money as it made sleeping at night so much easier and, unlike other hotels we have stayed at, it kept the room comfortably cool and not sub zero . The food, which some reviewers have been critical of, was in my opinion absolutely fine and I never struggled to find something nice to eat. Plenty of choice with lots of fresh fruit and salads and always several choices of meat dishes and pasta. The desserts were nice too, always plenty of ice cream and fruit and a selection of cakes and pastries available at lunch and dinner. The restaurant staff were really efficient and friendly and the tables were always cleared quickly and we never had to queue for the buffet or wait for a table. The only small moan would have been that they didn't have any English teabags at breakfast but we had anticipated that and brought our own lol, but the coffee was lovely. The pool area was always spotless and there are plenty of sunbeds and sun shades available and although there is no outside bar it is really not an issue as the bar adjoins the pool area anyway. There is a good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available, with Lager on tap for you to help yourself to in the buffet area and bar area. The entertainment staff were lovely and although im not a big fan of 'organised fun' you couldn't fault their enthusiasm and we did stay in the hotel on a couple of evenings and had a really good time watching the shows. The beaches in Sa Coma are stunning and spotlessly clean, they gently shelve and the water is beautifully clear, would be perfect for young kiddies. There are a range of shops and restaurants along the seafront just outside of the hotel and we wandered out most nights to have a cocktail or buy gifts . The only gripe I have is that the free WIFI is pretty much useless, which was annoying as my daughter had just had a baby back home and I was hoping to keep in touch an get updates from her whilst on holiday. The signal was so weak it was virtually impossible to connect to it and even if you managed to connect it was patchy to say the least. In the end we found a nearby bar which offered free WIFI to customers and used that instead. In short we had a great holiday at the hotel. The staff are lovely, especially the evening reception staff who were really helpful when I had problems downloading boarding passes online, even allowing me to use their pc to log on and print the passes. I would recommend this hotel and unless you are especially picky, I think most people would enjoy their stay and the resort is so pretty we are going to return next year with family to see more of it.

Very clean and friendly hotel. Lovely pool big enough to swim in. No outside bar but not an issue. No snacks between meals as some all inclusive hotels do .. but again not an issue for us. A lovely room, clean and functional with sea and pool view. Resort is quiet compared with palma nova and alcudia where we mostly frequent but still plenty of shops and walks. The hotel opens directly onto the promenade and beach is a couple of minutes either way. Food is typical of all inclusive .. buffet style. I'm a vegetarian and the choice is a bit tiresome .. but the meat eaters was fine. I'm used to it. Mainly the food was constantly refreshed and the staff worked tirelessly .. can't fault the staff at all. The bar staff make every effort to please and engage in relationships .. remembering the drinks choices etc. The pool area constantly cleaned and tidied. Our only gripe was the entertainment .. pretty laughable but again no real issue. We went on our holiday looking for clean and friendly .. we got this in abundance. We had few expectations and these were surpassed.

My wife and I stayed at the Playa Dorada Aparthotel in May 2015 for five nights. We arrived shortly before midnight and were swiftly checked in by the night receptionist. We were then able to enjoy a few drinks in the lobby area. They are not restrictive with the drinks that are served - its just common sense and courtesy how much you ask for. The rooms are adequately furnished and the view was good. The breakfast was passable... the lunck and evening meal was not very good at all, ifact we ate out most nights. There was very little entertainment during the day, more set up for children. The location is goodplenty of resteraunts and small eateries to visit. The main road will take you to bars and shops that are set up for the average tourist. A short walk will take you to a bus stop where you can travel to most places in Mallorca, but get there early. All in all not a bad stay , but will not return.
