Going across the bay you discover stunning landscapes like Es Mal Pas, the hermitage of La Victoria, the Isle of Alcanada or the Nature reserve of S’Albufera. Wow, Wow, Wow !! Just home from another fantastic, super, excellent, brilliant holiday in Viva Sunrise. After 8 years and 10 visits, it has become a 'home away from home'. We go as a family of four but always meet other returning families from many countries who feel as we do... Viva Sunrise is Number 1. But why? ... Because of many, many things. The hotel is top class, neat, modern, wheelchair friendly, well maintained and improving every year .. Now a 4**** hotel. The air-conditioned rooms are spacious, from the studio and one bedrooms (which I've stayed in both) up to the premium and the rooftop royal suites (which I would love to try sometime). All rooms have been recently upgraded and now all have refreshing 'wet room' showers ... 'Heaven'. Cleanliness is a big priority with room cleans 5 days a week and daily, ongoing cleaning of the entire complex. There is a great restaurant with Buffet and A la Carte options ... Try the 'cook to your own liking' steak .... Mmmm delicious. A well stocked bar and on-site shop are also available. WIFI all areas. All day, there is a packed schedule of entertainment for ALL ages. Loads to do and great enthusiastic entertainers led (this year) by Hasan and including Izabela, Alice, Kevin and more. From water polo, aqua gym, pirate day, shooting, poolside games, football, kiddies time, there is loads to do. The nighttime shows by rotating 'flying teams' are excellent. There are exercise classes, a gym, massage tent, four pools, football pitch, kids playground, a large reception and lounge areas to relax. Personally, however, I feel that without a great team of helpful staff, a hotel is just a building. Viva Sunrise know this and their staff are the best. In the restaurant there are Claus, Xisco, Jonathan, Gerardo, Alex, Manola, Jesus (x2), Jean Luis and more. Miguel, Robert and a large team of cleaners and maintenance staff are always working hard from morning till night ... Robert loves his Karcher cleaner every morning around the pool from 7am, ha ha. The girls in the shop are lovely and very helpful. BUT, my favourites, by far, are the reception staff. They are always there to help with ANY request. No job is too big or too small. They include Ivan, Eeva, Guillam, Catina, Jan, Monika and Tonina. Obviously, every team requires a leader and the Hotel Director, Mattias is always there to ensure his guests have a great holiday. Thank you all. We had another great holiday this year and I hope that we are all healthy and well to return again ... Muchos Gracias Amigos.

Stayed from July 6-17. Very, very pleased with everything, your staff really made it a wonderful experience for myself, husband and daughter. We kept remarking on how friendly they all were, how they took exceptional pride in their work. You can't help but notice the long hours they put in, there from morning till night. But their smiling faces and genuine manner really made out holiday. A special mention to Sam on the kids team, our daughter was smitten with him, a youngster himself, but he took the time to make sure our girl was having fun. It was around an hour transfer from Palma, but lovely to view the scenery both there and back. Our room was at the very end of a very long corridor (halfway along there is a shortcut down to the pool). Very spacious and comfortable and over our 10 day stay only Wednesday and Sunday were unattended. Each room has an info leaflet to tell you service days. Unlimited (albeit, slow at times) free wifi throughout, UK TV channels, free bedroom safe. Supermarket attached to hotel with plenty more a minutes walk in any direction. The bathroom was fantastic, powerful wet room shower, plenty of towels. Spacious balcony. AI great selection of cocktails, ice creams, food a plenty. Large pool area with a good system of no reserving beds. Never a problem getting a lounger. Evening entertainment much the same as we've seen before in similar places, but enjoyable. Beautiful beach around a ten minute walk away. Basically a great place, but I'll say it again, it's the people who work there who made it that more special. I didn't realise it was the same girl at reception who checked us in and out, When we were leaving she said 'It doesn't feel like 10 days since I checked you in!' She remember us amongst the droves of people, lovely personal touch! Well done Viva Sunrise, it's absolutely no surprise you are ranked so highly x

Transfer from Palma Airport took about an hour. First impressions were good as the area around the hotel is made up of a series of waterways and the area is pretty quiet. Hotel reception was spacious and airy, the welcome was pleasant and we were sold an upgrade to our rooms overlooking the pool for 70 Euros. We accepted this but on hindsight we never considered whether or not we would have had similar rooms in the first place. Additionally the rooms overlooking the waterways are arguably quieter and have a better view. The rooms were very clean, large and we could find no fault with either ours or the room our daughters had, both had large balconies and British TV. Because we were self catering we had a cooking range which was good though basic. The room was cleaned on 5 of the 7 days we were there to a very good and acceptable standard. The bed weren't fantastic but in fairness we always struggle to find a bed like our own. The room had air con and a safe (at extra cost). We didn't eat at the hotel, choosing to eat at local restaurants, some of which were very good. After our initial meeting with hotel staff I wouldn't say that, for the rest of our stay, they were the friendliest bunch. Our biggest issue with this hotel was that there simply was not enough sunbeds about the pool to cope with the number of people staying there. They have a 40 minute rule i.e if you leave it for 40 mins you risk having your towels taken away. The issue with this was that the clients who are all inclusive are provided with orange towels whilst Self Catering use their own. In became obvious that only those supplying their own towels were subjected to this ruling. However the beach is absolutely beautiful has plenty to do, with gentle seas and its a 10 minute stroll away.
