The bay of Alcudia is the longest beach in the Balearic islands measuring 17 km long. Located in north-eastern Majorca where we find such well-known places as Ca’n Picafort, Playa de Muro and of course Alcudia. Going across the bay you discover stunning landscapes like Es Mal Pas, the hermitage of La Victoria, the Isle of Alcanada or the Nature reserve of S’Albufera. The hotel is situated 3 km from the old town of Alcudia .
Great hotel nearest to the beach:) 100% I stay here in future again! :-) ONLY issue was the waiting time when I game here. The clock was over 15 PM and the room wasn't not ready. But it's was little...
The best thing about this hotel is that staff were very friendly, however I went with my out with my brother on a Friday evening to look around the town, It was very quiet but there were a few bars open, and the Castle is beautifully lit, We returned to the Hotel at around midnight, - had to bang on the door the alert the night man to let us in - he told us we could have used our key card to access another door the other side of the car park entrance. (No one told us about this when we checked in). A while later we were telephoned to ask us to turn down the TV as it was disturbing other guests - we did of course, but the embarrassment could have been avoided if we had been told that the walls were so thin that the TV could disturb other guests. The balcony had a pleasant view but the wooden floor was rotten in places so we were nervous of using it. The lighting in the room was very dim so much so that any packing or arranging of luggage had to be done in day light. This was made worse on the first night by one of the lamps being faulty -to be fair this was fixed the next day- after we pointed it out. I noticed the toilet had vomit stains on its base (easily missed - but again it was cleaned the next day). The place is very convenient for the railway station (only about 2-3 mins walk) and the centre of the town (no more than 500 metres) But the place does not appear to have been updated since it was built (circa 1970's) so it is OK if you just want a couple of nights stay - I would not wish to stay there any longer. The hotel is next door but one to the Reypenaer (Ripener) cheese store built in 1906 which is well worth a visit, and a tasting.
Hotel had a great location and provided bests services. Staff was speaking well english and was really nice and helpful. Breakfast and dinner ws included and very delicious, nice variations. I would...
A very dated hotel and in my opinion in need of complete renovation. E.g; Dark blue and discoloured toilet and basin. Dark carpets and décor - what can't I see? Rotten floor with hole on balcony. Beer bottle with Cigarette ends on balcony. No air conditioning. Staff were very pleasant ... it's the fabric of the hotel that I think to be the problem.
This is a great hotel for families with small children. We went with our two year old son and he loved it! We went SC because we're not big fans of AI and prefer to eat out. Having said that after...
Stayed for 1 week during a business trip. Pros: Short walk to town and station Breakfast included All day coffee Friendly staff Great running along nearby canals Cons: Very tatty which makes things look a little dirty Light bulbs out and other minor maintenance issues I agree with other reviewers that the internal decor is somewhat depressing
After much research I chose to stay at the Viva Sunrise for a week in October 14. We stayed with our 18 month old son as part of our honeymoon and went for the AI option and the upgrade to the garden...
Just a nights sleep is all you can expect but you might want to take extra clothes. Arrived at 8pm checkin on a cold night and then had to walk along to the annex, cheap carpets, cold looking hotel, sparse room is being polite. Disappointing experience, if you're desperate fine but it's not cheap either. Desk is OK size for working but the room is cold, bathroom basic and didn't warm up. You have to go outside to walk along the street for reception if you are in the annex so perhaps ask or book main hotel. It didn't look much more inviting but perhaps it was warmer.
No need for warm clothes on holidays in Alcudia! In the summer you can expect hot, dry weather with temperatures regularly reaching 30° Celsius and above. The delightful sea breeze will keep hot days from becoming unpleasant so that when you are relaxing on the beach all you need is sun cream and a cool drink and you're good to go.
If you're not too fond of the sun, you would be best visiting Alcudia in the winter months as it is quite mild. However, you should be aware that Majorca does experience some irregular rainfall in the winter period.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
