We have just had 10 days in this wonderful hotel. The hotel was perfect for families, lots to do. It was really clean and had a lovely feel to it. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived after dinner service but in our room we had a feast prepared including wine! We had so much fun in the pools all day and there was always a lifeguard who were also very friendly. The hotel was only a 10 minute stroll from the beach. There was everything we could have wanted. Definitely recommend this hotel...fun all the way

We have recently returned from Viva Sunrise, a family of 4 with 2 children age 6 & 4. We stayed for 10 days on a self catering basis (we did AI once and it's not for us, we prefer eating out in different places) we arrived at around 12pm and our room wasn't ready so we had lunch in the hotel and went back about 12.45 (they had said over a hour but the kids were desperate to get going) they advised they had a nice pool view room getting sorted for us and did try to speed the process up, we eventually got the room at 1.30 and when I asked to pay for a safe we were offered it for free for the wait (even though as they explained it was in the timescale for check in) was a nice touch though. The rooms are lovely, tidy clean and modern, beds comfy, lovely big power shower, twin basins and 2 decent wardrobes. Our maid Johana was lovely and pleasant and did a great job, putting up with us constantly saying "5 more minutes" to get into the room The pools are great, and we always got a lounger even though we were usually not down til 10.30/11am. We ate around 5 lunches in the hotel and it's not bad, we had the buffet once (the kids a few times) but I wouldn't want it every day, but that's just us, as far as AI goes it was good, a la carte choices at lunch time and all branded drinks and cocktails included. The staff all work hard, from reception to waiting staff and were always helpful. The entertainment team was good, but this is the 1st holiday were my children didn't join in with dancing etc and we only stayed for mini disco about 5 times, definitely not as good as Thomson entertainment (previously stayed at Bonaire in Cala bona) We ate out at the port every night, there is a "strip" about 100 metres away but it's a bit naff, the port is better, lovely and vibrant with good restaurants, a lovely pier with trinket stalls and play areas for the kids. We got a taxi down every night it's between 5-6 euros so not bad but we walked home every night, a lovely walk along the beach path, which is busy certainly until midnight and you see sand sculptures and fire jugglers along the way. It took us around 25 mins with a 6 year old walking and 4 year old in pushchair. The beach is about 5-10 mins away and is lovely with lots of water sports and gorgeous clear warm sea. All in all a fab holiday, I would recommend the hotel, last year we stayed at the paradise club in menorca and it beats that hands down (we had chosen that for location but being clean is definitely more important ) I would definitely use viva hotels again.
