Prague 10 is the furthest-out district that still has good transport links to the centre. Vrsovice and Strasnice are residential neighbourhoods with a growing food and bar scene (Vrsovice in particular has become a destination for Czech craft beer and casual dining), though it's still very much a locals' neighbourhood rather than a tourist one.
Hotels here are among the cheapest in Prague, and the tram connections put you in the Old Town in about 20 to 25 minutes. The Eden shopping centre and the Slavia Prague football stadium are local landmarks, and the Zeleny Pruh park offers green space without the crowds of the central parks.
The right pick for repeat visitors who've already done the tourist trail and want to save the accommodation budget for eating and drinking in the centre, or for longer stays where the lower nightly rate makes a material difference.
