Hot, buzzing and at its most alive. Beach bars are in full swing, the sea hits 26°C, and the island has a proper Balearic energy. It's the busiest time — Ses Illetes gets packed by midday — but Formentera's small enough that you can always find a quiet cove. Book early for the best hotel deals.

What's On:

  • 🎸 Sant Jaume Festival (25th July) - Es Pujols' patron saint celebrations with live music, markets and traditional dancing

  • 🌅 Beach bar DJ sets run most evenings along the south coast through summer

🌸 Spring (April-June) | 19-26°C

What's On:

  • 🚴 Cycling season peaks in spring with quiet roads and comfortable temperatures

  • 🌺 Wildflower season carpets the island's paths and fields

🍂 Autumn (September-October) | 23-27°C

Still properly warm, the sea's at its toastiest (26°C in September), and the summer crowds have headed home. A favourite with couples for good reason.

What's On:

  • 🎨 Formentera Jazz Festival (June) - Free jazz performances across the island

  • 🍷 Local wine and food festivals pop up through autumn

❄️ Winter (November-March) | 13-17°C

The island slows right down. Most tourist businesses close, but the weather stays mild and the beaches are empty. Brilliant for walkers and anyone who wants total peace. Just be aware that restaurant and hotel options are very limited.
