Clubbing holidays in Ibiza

Ibiza has long been top of the list when it comes to clubbing holidays. The ultimate nightlife destination, Ibiza holidays are synonymous with clubs, beach parties, drinking and hedonism in general. For clubbers, sleep is a rare commodity, but the glorious beaches are the best place to get your head down for a couple of hours before heading out again. Entry prices to Ibiza clubs are not cheap, but for avid clubbers, it's money well spent.

Club wise, there's a handful of Ibiza clubs you simply can't miss. Our must-do list includes Space, Pacha, Amnesia, Il Divino and Manumission, and for the best beach party head to Bora Bora Beach and its famously eponymous beach club, where the party starts at 4pm sharp every day and continues into the small hours.

What's great about Ibiza is that despite its reputation, there's actually far more to enjoy than the clubs. It boasts some of the most gorgeous beaches in the Mediterranean, and if you're savvy enough to book car hire in Ibiza you can spend some time beach hopping between nights out.

Ibiza accommodation ranges from super swanky villas to cheap apartments, and it pays to bear in mind when choosing your hotel in Ibiza how much time you'll actually be spending there. Chances are it'll be a place to get your head down and get ready to go out. If you have some money to spend, however, there are some fab hotels in Ibiza Town and Figueretas. For the cheapest Ibiza accommodation, San Antonio is your best bet. Just be prepared to make the trip across the island for the best parties and the fittest people!

Clubbing Holidays in Ayia Napa, Cyprus

A European clubbing destination to rival Ibiza, Ayia Napa is great for quality clubs and fantastic sandy beaches to recover on. Originally a small fishing village, Ayia Napa has become famous for its nightlife, which plays out in hundreds of bars and clubs.

The Square should be your first stop for Ayia Napa nightlife. For a relatively small area, there's a LOT packed into it, including plenty of places to drink and dance. The Square's hotspots are The Castle Club, Bedrock and Ice, but be wary of promotional staff who will go to any lengths to get you into their places - competition is fierce and the constant harassment, while harmless, can get annoying. The main Ayia Napa strip clubs are Toga Toga and Moulin Rouge. If that's your thing, it's worth haggling with Pedro, Toga Toga's main (very persistent) agent, as he sometimes gives tickets away for free.

Ayia Napa clubs are open until dawn, so people don't tend to go out until around 11pm, and it doesn't get really busy until gone midnight, with clubs opening at around 1am. Drinks and club entry prices are high, but nowhere near as high as in Ibiza, so if you're on a budget, an Ayia Napa clubbing holiday might be the way forward.

Clubbing Holidays in Malia, Crete

Malia nightlife is a lot of fun. There are so many clubs and bars in Malia, it's hard to know which ones to pick, but here's a list of places you really should try and visit at least once on your Malia holidays. First stop has to be Banana Bar, a great place with really friendly who entertain punters with fire juggling and lighting up the bar. Down the road from Banana Bar, Zig Zags plays the best RnB and house music. Easy to find, Zig Zags is directly opposite the only lap dancing bar in Malia! The newly built Candy Club is a super modern, split level club with multiple bars and efficient bar staff, so you’ll never struggle to get served. Expect to hear all the newest Hed Kandi tunes, mixed with old and new garage tracks, as well as RnB.

A little further up the strip, Malia's most popular club, Club UK, pumps out trance and uplifting dance music, and is an absolute must if you're clubbing in Malia. Across the road, Factory Club plays funky house and RnB nightly and is host to the best foam parties and in Malia. As if that wasn’t enough, it also offers a two hour free bar with strippers and pole dancers!

Clubbing Holidays in Cancun, Mexico

On the east coast of Mexico, Cancun nightlife pulsates 24/7. Whether you're partying on the beach or dancing into the wee hours in the steamy atmosphere of the nightclubs, when you start a session in Cancun, chances are you'll still be up to see the next day's sunrise. Word has spread in recent years about the nightlife in Cancun, and it attracts a diverse crowd of people with one common goal: to party all night to superb music. Recovery takes place on the beach (Bloody Mary optional, but often very helpful!), and we can't think of many better places to nurse a hangover. Cancun beaches are stunning, and the sea is clean and refreshing.

Most Cancun nightlife is centred around the hotel zone, aptly dubbed the Party Centre. Here you'll find venues such as Daddy O and Coco Bongo's, as well as Latin America's biggest nightclub, The City. It is enormous, and hosts some of the biggest names in music. There are dozens more lounge bars and clubs lining the hotel zone and throughout downtown Cancun, the latter being geared more towards authentic Mexican partying than dance music, so expect a sexier Latino feel if you head down that way.

Clubbing Holidays in Hurghada, Egypt

A bit of a surprise entry, Hurghada is not really known for its nightlife, but there are a few hotspots which make it worth the trip for clubbers. There are plenty of bars and clubs in Hurghada, but we recommend the following for the best nights out...

Bonanza Bar, located between Waves Resort and the Sea Gull Hotel, plays mainly rock, pop and Latino music, and holds various theme nights, including the famous Cowboy Night every Friday. Entry is free of charge, and happy hour is from 5-9pm, so it's definitely one of the cheaper nights out you'll find.

In front of Dana Beach Hotel, Havana Club is a fantastic nightclub playing Latino until 1am and house afterwards until dawn. At 100LE entrance, it's not cheap, and drinks prices follow suit, but it's a brilliant night out and the clientele reflects the prices, or vice versa!

Finally, world famous Ministry of Sound have set up Ministry of Sound Red Sea, encompassing Ministry of Sound Beach Club in Hurghada, complemented by regular weekend parties at legendary nightclub Pacha in Sharm El Sheikh. World renowned DJs fly in and out week after week, making Hurghada one of the top clubbing holiday destinations worldwide.

Clubbing Holidays in Mykonos, Greece

One of the undisputed party capitals of the Greek islands, Mykonos is outrageous, camp, overpriced and absolutely brilliant if you're into serious clubbing. Once a haven for gay party goers, these days Mykonos attracts a wider clientele with its swanky clubs where anything goes! The gay scene is still prolific, but Mykonos is no longer as exclusively gay, and straight people have just as much chance of having a great time (if you know get the drift)!

Early doors, head to Little Venice to sip a cocktail at the water's edge. Galleraki is our favourite place to catch the sunset. Caprice Bar is also a really popular place to enjoy a drink before hitting the clubs. For something extra special, head to The Veranda, a beautiful mansion with a stunning view of the sea and the famous Mykonos windmills.

And so, to the clubs. The most famous of Mykonos clubs is the &uber chic Cavo Paradiso, perched on a rock overlooking the gorgeous Paradise Beach. Things only get started here at around 3am so don't expect to get home until well into the mid-morning, possibly soaking wet after dancing in the Mykonos-shaped pool. Cavo Paradiso regularly hosts top international DJs and the high prices reflect its profile, but boy is it worth it.

Clubbing Holidays in Playa del Ingles and Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria's biggest resort, Playa del Ingles is the ideal destination for a cheap clubbing holiday. Safe, cheap, easy to navigate, noisy and fun, the nightlife starts late and continues into the early hours. July and August here are pretty much dedicated to young party goers, so 18-30 holidays in Playa del Ingles are very popular.

Quiet as you like during the day, the Kasbah and neighbouring Metro Centre are famous for their crazy clubs and raucous bars, most of which stay open until dawn. In the heart of Playa del Ingles, the Yumbo Centre is another place that's quiet during the day, which is surprising considering it's the largest of Gran Canaria's commercial centres, built on four levels. By night, however, the Yumbo Centre comes alive, with a huge choice of bars, restaurants and clubs. It is the main hub for the gay community, so you'll find all the bars and clubs here wonderfully gay friendly, with some of the bars on the top floor being exclusively gay. Gay or not, you're guaranteed a camp and colourful night that's lots of fun.

Clubbing Holidays in Bulgaria

Another surprise entry, Bulgaria's Black sea coast boasts bars, discos and clubs to rival any of the big European clubbing destinations, but at a fraction of the cost. For cheap clubbing holidays, Bulgaria is where it's at. Sunny Beach is the main clubbing hotspot in Bulgaria. To give you an idea of rules and prices, bars and clubs don't really have a closing time, a pint of local beer costs around 50p, and a glass of wine will set you back a mere £1. Bulgaria is very up and coming, and Sunny Beach nightlife is very much geared towards a hip and happening young crowd. Be sure to check out Bar Dome, Viking and Club Mania. One tip though: beware Bulgarian Rakia - it is strong stuff!

Clubbing Holidays in Magaluf

Magaluf is not shy about its reputation as a hedonistic party goers' paradise. Its monster clubs, laser shows, world famous DJs foam parties and drinks promotions keep serious clubbers flocking in year after year. Undoubtedly one of Europe's greatest clubbing destinations, Magaluf's main clubs are the mighty BCM and the MCP clubs, Bananas, Buffalo Girls, Boomerang, Honey's and Tokio Joe's.

Clubbing holidays in Magaluf guarantee the ultimate party experience. In the centre of Magaluf, BCM Planet Dance is one of Europe's biggest clubs and attracts the biggest names in trance and dance music. A Magaluf clubbing holiday wouldn’t be complete without at least one visit here.

If you're serious about clubbing in Magaluf, it might be worth buying the MCP - the Magaluf Club Pass - giving you entry to Magaluf's top five clubs.

Not that we're encouraging it... but for the ultimate Magaluf lap dancing experience, Heaven Magalluf is the first established lapdancing club in Magaluf, and is a good choice for a night of sexy entertainment - for guys and girls!

Clubbing Holidays in Kavos, Corfu

Another Greek clubbing destination, the 24 hour party paradise of Kavos is Corfu's largest and craziest town. This place was designed for simple, cheap clubbing holidays. It's comprised of one long street flanked on either side by over a hundred bars, restaurants and clubs, and whatever music you like to shake your booty to, you'll find somewhere that plays it in Kavos. Over the summer, Kavos plays host to some of the clubbing world's most prestigious names, including Cream and Ministry, so there's no shortage of world famous DJs either.

When your glow sticks have faded and your feet hurt from dancing, Kavos beaches offer golden sand and clear blue sea - perfect for some rest and recuperation before your next big night out.
