The 133 room Litera La Luna is situated 200 m from the centre of Gumbet and just 100 m to the beach and is perfect for families or couples. Set in landscaped gardens that slope down to the main pool and restaurant area there are a number of steps at this property so it is not advised for anyone with walking difficulties. Rooms are twin or double bedded with en suite shower or bathtub, WC, balcony, satellite TV, mini-fridge (empty), hairdryer, telephone and air conditioning/heating. Sheets and towels are changed 3 times a week.

Gumbet is on the southern shore of the Bodrum Peninsula, it's a fun resort with a winning combination of watersports, beach and nightlife - ideal for young couples, groups of friends and families alike. For after dark entertainment Gumbet offers plenty of bars and restaurants, many catering to British tastes. While there is a good sand and shingle beach at Gumbet, it is rather narrow and very popular - be ready to stake your claim early! Other bays with quieter beaches are within an easy dolmus ride. Gumbet is a good place for a beach holiday - a cool breeze blows in from the mouth of the bay making the hot days of mid summer more comfortable. There are also great selections of watersports on offer. Gumbet has a great selection of restaurants catering for all tastes, especially British. You'll be spoilt for choice with restaurants offering everything from traditional Turkish to Chinese, Indian and other international cuisine. There's an enormous variety of bars and clubs, many open until the early hours. The basics and traditional souvenirs can be acquired here. For a better range of potential purchases, head for nearby Bodrum which offers some of the best shopping in Turkey and visit the covered bazaar or the designer shops along the marina. The weekly market at Turgutreis is a must for picking up some excellent bargains but don't forget to barter. Bodrum offers the best shopping in Turkey. Visit the covered bazaar or the designer shops along the Marina. For sightseeing and Turkish culture, visit the harbour, shops, bars and cafe overlooked by the old Crusader castle.

Weather
Gumbet has an enviable climate with summer temperatures soaring up to over 30° Celsius. There's very little rain for most of the year except on occasional winter day. A warm breeze from the Aegean keep you fresh despite the heat. Even in the middle of winter temperatures in Gumbet average a mild 10 to 15° Celsius. Get the sunscreen ready!
