On the Beach Cancellation/Amendment info

We get asked a lot about cancellations and amendments, and often customers are confused by the fees that go along with them. We wanted to write this article to explain the way cancellation and amendments procedures work and hopefully help our customers better understand the reasons why they can be so costly.

Cancellations:

When you place an order on our website, our system will check availability and then book your holiday directly with the airlines and hotel suppliers.  This can happen in a matter of seconds, so whether you placed your order 5 minutes ago, or 5 months ago, the same cancellation policies apply.

We pay the airlines up front and in full for your flights, regardless of whether you’re paying for your holiday via our deposit scheme. Most flights are unfortunately non-refundable with the airline and therefore in the event of a cancellation, we would not be able to recover any of the flight cost for you and you would need to cover this cost in full.

Hotels are a little different as most will allow cancellations outside of a month of travel.  In the event of a cancellation, we do our best to recover as much of this cost for our customers as possible. Unfortunately this is based on the individual policies of the hotels and suppliers and is not always in our control.

Amendments:

If you need to make a change to your booking, in most cases fees will apply. Sometimes, especially when making changes to your flight, these amendments fees can seem very high, but unfortunately the majority of this comes directly from the airlines and is entirely out of our hands.

We would recommend that you triple check the details of your booking before submitting it to avoid having to pay these kinds of hefty fees.

If you need to make a change to a booking or would like to cancel, please submit a request through to us on the My Bookings section of our website so that we can provide a quote for you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch,
