Average rooms, but only used as a base ,so really didn't matter to us. The sun bed war is the same as anywhere else we have been ,but staff do remove the towels that are left unattended just before...
We came to Julian 3 years back and had a great time so returned this year. The new lay out of pools and entertainment stage where an improvement and gave the hotel an added attraction from our last visit. The room was basic for 4 of us (2 single beds pushed together for a double and 2 sofa type beds for the kids) but it had a bed and shower which is pretty much all you need for the amount of time you spend in the room. The food was enough to give something a bit different each night and the kids had a choice of nuggets, pizza, chips and spag bol every night. The pool bar served similar food between 12 and 6 every day which again kept the kids going through the day time along with ice cream and pancakes. The Yolo entertainment team are the best entertainment team I have ever seen, so much life and energy in them from 10am right through until midnight and loads of activities for the kids and adults in the morning and afternoon before a kids disco every night. The entertainment team then put on a show every night to finish things off... All was going well until my youngest (7) took a turn for the worse at the start of our 2nd week which resulted in him staying in hospital for 2 nights, my eldest (11) also fell ill as did my wife for the week which really put a downer on things after an excellent 1st week. The illness really effected my youngest and meant we did not use the hotel for the 2nd week other than staying in the room as we didn't know what had caused the illness so didn't want to catch anything else and risk being unable to fly home. This was frustrating given that we were All Inclusive! There were a lot of people who fell ill and ended up staying in hospital while we were there and it is interesting to see that someone else has commented on this with a bit more information of what was causing the illness to go around. It will be interesting to see what official response the hotel and travel agent give to this. One of the pools was closed for a whole day, coincidently the day after my son started to feel ill although the hotel said it was just a bug going around the whole of Marmaris. Strangely for someone who could not have been closer to the bug itself I never caught anything so possibly not something in the air as they suggested. Once we were up for eating again on the last night, we ate out and spent money outside of the hotel, again frustrating given that we were AI. On the whole a great 1st week but the 2nd week was completely ruined and we couldn't wait to get home after a traumatic 2nd week. I don't normally comment on TA and it pains me to put a negative spin on things although having seen others mention an illness I thought I would share our experience. I hope nobody else has to experience what we went through in that 2nd week and others can enjoy their whole holiday like we did in week 1.
I really enjoyed coming to this hotel at Turkey it's very good every one is very friendly well worth going to as well the holiday reps and really nice people great with kids I would honestly...
We came here for our summer holiday & it was great. The hotel itself is lovely, the food was super tasty & what really made it 1 of the best holidays are the YOLO team. We won't forget the crazy frog song for a long time!
I visited last year and had such a great time , I booked again taking my friends with me. Consistently good. Food amazing and fresh , entertainment brilliant, rooms clean and comfortable. Well worth...
Very disappointed with this hotel, most definitely not a 4*. The cons: Not enough outdoor/poolside space to accommodate the volume of guests, seemed very over crowded. Rude / abrupt staff and poor service. Dirty rooms, worn furnishings around the hotel, dirty unclean communal areas. Horrific smell of stagnant mop water in the dining area which lasted days, not enough tables and chairs for the volume of guest at the dining area - the whole dining experience was total chaos with no forward thinking or planning what so ever. Paid for 7 days internet, only for it to be down for 4 out of 7 days and a refusal for a refund. When the WiFi was up and running it only worked in communal areas of the hotel. The pros: The location of the hotel was okay. The selection/variety of food offered was not too bad either. Final thought: Would never ever return there or recommend it to anyone.
it was a amazing holliday. it was a nice hotel with a fantastic entertaiment team and staff. you have all the time for yourself, my parents have swimming the whole day and i have sitting by the bar...
Average rooms, but only used as a base ,so really didn't matter to us. The sun bed war is the same as anywhere else we have been ,but staff do remove the towels that are left unattended just before eight o'clock each morning. The water slides were a hit for our kids and are open twice a day and not all the time. The pool with the slides was closed a couple of times, as someone had been sick and worse still in it !!. The entertainment team were excellent and work hard. Food was ok and you could find something to eat at every meal time. Bad points = Three out of the four of us fell ill ,with upset stomachs towards the end of our week. My daughter and I recovered after we got back within 3 days. However my son had it worse and we ended up having two trips to the hospital with him. We have just had the test results back from the hospital, to find out that he has had a parasite known as cryptosporidium in his stomach, that is often found in swimming pools (of which chlorine doesn't kill) and Salmonella (food poisoning) , no wonder it has taken him 8 days to get better. My wife wasn't ill, but was the only member of our family that didn't go in the pool with the slides ( big coincidence !) .We are still waiting for a reply from the hotel and First Choice.
