Im so pleased we picked grand newport. At the time reviews were mixed and i wasnt surr if i had made the right decision. Thankfully we did! The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk out of gumbet (thankfully) and 10 minute walk to bitez (a far more classy alternative to gumbet) The views from this hotel are easily the best in the bodrum area. Being so high up the bay looks incredible The room was basic but this didnt spoil our trip at all The food was very good The pool large and in the sun all day Staff are fantastic and very friendly with awesome service The walk to the jetty down the steepest hill youve ever seen is worth it for the peace and quiet you receive Loved it!

The Animation-Team of this hotel is very friendly and open to their guests. They speak good english and they are available for questions or problems aside. The food at the hotel is very monoton and the most of the staff does not speak good english. Without the Animation-Team the hotel is nothing special!!!

I had the best time in Grandnewport.I went there alone and stayed 1 week at the end of August. The hotel interior is classical and clean with very friendly staff ! Although the hotel was full, everyone was soo helpful :) I was arriving after midnite and I have contacted the reception to tell them not to give my room to someone else. When I arrived,my key was ready and I did not wait !!! I was so tired after a long flight and the guys at the reception were so thoughtful to prepare my room key and paperwork so I just needed to sign :) I found a nice fruit basket in my room.My room was down the stairs by the pool with a great sea view.It is not the more luxurious hotel maybe but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The food was great especially the open buffet selections ! Overall,I did enjoy my stay by the sea side - there is a shuttle to the sea,I was walking down but to go up I was taking the shuttle:) ..the sea is absolutely gorgeous !!! They have great sea sport facilities and free beer & beverages with some afternoon snacks! Great value for the money !

Gumbet has an enviable climate with summer temperatures soaring up to over 30° Celsius. There's very little rain for most of the year except on occasional winter day. A warm breeze from the Aegean keep you fresh despite the heat. Even in the middle of winter temperatures in Gumbet average a mild 10 to 15° Celsius. Get the sunscreen ready!
