I had the best time in Grandnewport.I went there alone and stayed 1 week at the end of August. The hotel interior is classical and clean with very friendly staff ! Although the hotel was full, everyone was soo helpful :) I was arriving after midnite and I have contacted the reception to tell them not to give my room to someone else. When I arrived,my key was ready and I did not wait !!! I was so tired after a long flight and the guys at the reception were so thoughtful to prepare my room key and paperwork so I just needed to sign :) I found a nice fruit basket in my room.My room was down the stairs by the pool with a great sea view.It is not the more luxurious hotel maybe but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The food was great especially the open buffet selections ! Overall,I did enjoy my stay by the sea side - there is a shuttle to the sea,I was walking down but to go up I was taking the shuttle:) ..the sea is absolutely gorgeous !!! They have great sea sport facilities and free beer & beverages with some afternoon snacks! Great value for the money !

Just arrived back from Grand Newport Hotel Gumbet Turkey. Went there for our wedding anniversary. We were upgraded to a suite with a complimentary bottle of red wine and fruit platter - lovely start to our celebrations. The owner and staff were very welcoming and bent over backwards to make sure our stay was the best. Our bed was decorated with hearts and flowers on our anniversary - lovely surprise! Breathtaking views from our balcony and the beautiful terrace bar enjoying a few chilled glasses of their lovely white wine. Everything was perfect for a relaxing and romantic stay. Very large pool with separate side for children. Plenty of sun loungers for everyone. Only one downside is that the private pier was down a steep hill 300 yards away but well worth visiting. A wonderful stay at Grand Newport Hotel. Can't wait to go back.

This place is dirty, worn out and lacks excitement... It should not be operating in the condition it is in... The rooms are old, decor outdated bathroom full of rust mould and dirty shower curtains. PHOTOS uploaded of the state of the room. The balcony soo tiny with dirty chairs you dont want to even sit on.. Food not so great nothing exciting not much variety... Staff especially front desk manager rude and unhelpful..Front desk incompetent...We asked for a room change coz it was that dirty and took us 3 attempts to get it done.. Small hotel far from beach not walking distant.. Entertainment 1 man show busy chatting up chicks just shocking!! This place should have all 4 stars taken away does not deserve it.. It neads urgent attention reburbishment..Only great thing is its view!
Bodrum is famous for its Mediterranean climate with long hot summers, pleasant spring and autumn months and mild winters.
The blistering sunshine throughout the summer months reaches highs of 30° C, however during May throughout to October Bodrum does benefit from the Meltemi wind, which offers a satisfying breeze on some of the hottest days and cools down the temperatures for a comfortable evening.
The spring and autumn months in Bodrum are popular for those wanting a bright and sunny holiday without it being uncomfortably hot. Temperatures during these months range from the low to mid 20's, meaning these months are perfect for activities such as walking and hiking, taking advantage of the beautiful scenery and bright blue skies.
The winter months see rainfall and much cooler weather, with temperatures dropping to 10°C or below, so isn't recommended as a winter sun destination.
