Lovely place to go, we vere satisfied with everything!!! It was absolutely the best holiday ever. If you like calm place with smily and polite people, go to this resort and you´ll be satisfied. Accomodation in small houses was perfect. During the night it was the same as home, quite and confortable sleeping. Rooms are very nice and clean, every day cared by housekeepers. Walking to the beach is nice experience because of beautiful gardens around. The stuff was always smiling and people were very frendly and polite to the quests. The all inclusive service was briliant during the whole day, food was perfect and we had a chance to taste typical turkish food or having european food. The offer of sweets was absolutely perfect, thanks to the cooks and all people who prepare the food to the quests!!!! There are amazing views around the hotel and what we liked the best, every part of hotel, also the public toilets were clean all the time. The pool was perfect also for adults also for small kids with warm temperature. The beach is small but very lovely with clear and beautiful blue colour. No problem with seats on the beach during the whole day, there were available seats any time. The program for kids was the same every evening, but the animation program for adults was good, the best was the life music in front of the main building. Big advantage is also possibility to go out of the hotel and do shopping in typical turkish shops which are very near the hotel. We recommend this place and hope to come again. Big thanks to every person who work for this resort!!!

Soon after getting back from Palm Wings, my 7-yr old son asked when we could go back. ;-) He loved everything about the resort - pool, water slides, beach, foods/drinks/deserts/ice cream and the evening mini disco. I and my husband also had a great time. Thank you to all the staff who make the resort such a brilliant place. The animation team is fantastic and they work tirelessly and are always keen to keep you entertained. For those how are keen to keep in touch with the outside world - there are Wifi spots in public areas in the resort, e.g. reception, restaurant, shopping centre and pool/sport areas, but not in your own room as I was told by the reception staff. However as we stayed in a bungalow not far from the reception, we could get Wifi signal at odd hours, i.e. during early morning/late evening.

We stayed in the hotel which was a little walk to the pool, restaurants etc but staff used a buggy to transport you. Hotel could definitely do with a makeover as the furniture was dark and overpowered the room. The bungalows were much better. Pool - WOW best pool I have ever seen and beach is only a few minutes away, so great for sunbathing and relaxing. Great watersports on the beach for extra price. Food- not so great, cold on a few occasions, restaurant hot and overcrowded- this is an area that may require some attention. Staff were great, polite and helpful and all areas kept clean and tidy. Not too far from main beach and shops and great for bargains!!

Well our second visit over and done with. For 20 plus years I have never been to the same resort twice, but after consideration with my wife about what was our best holiday in the last 6 years and the our uneasy reflections of Alcudia, Majorca in 2014 we thought we would rebook the place we enjoyed the most so once again booking with Thomson, away we flew. The surrounding area as you approach the resort still looks like a bombsite. Not much has happened and if you have any plans to walk anywhere outside the resort please take a decent pair of trainers. Once again a minor criticism first. Reception - We filled out the forms on the coach and simply handed them over and were given a keycard and a map and waved out to the bell boy. It was 00.45am. We were starving due to late arrival at a busy Gatwick and Thomson Airways seemingly forgetting to put any food on the plane worth eating as they had run out of most hot food. Last time we went we walk around the resort aimlessly looking for the "snack bar" which gave us sandwiches after midnight which we found to be in the main centre a couple of days later. So without a care off I went confident I would come back with food. As we found out a couple of days later the restaurent opens at midnight for 1 hour with Soup and Breakfast snacks available. We did not know this, and although it is written on a kind of events timetable on the back of the resort map, we never read it till we were settled the next day. It would have took the girl on reception micro-seconds to point this out. You are taken to the bungalows (do not get a hotel room) by golf cart. As last time clean, tidy, spacious enough for a family with a patio. We were quite lazy which restricted the maid service but I think she tried to come in every day. Center has a watch shop, gift shop, photo centre and convienence shop selling essentials and toys for the pool. There is also a spa doing the usual range of massages which by looking at the paleness of skin the salesmen were on you like a rash on the first morning selling packages. Not in your face but pretty convincing. Its obvious from my findings later in the week that if you walk into the first resort area out of the hotel there are cheaper alternatives. I had a full package and thought it was amateur, later in the week I went to a local place for a turkish shave, upper body massage head massage and oil for just a fiver. The short upper body massage was miles better than the full one done at the hotel spa. The pools remain in good condition, with good level of hygene. There were a couple of incidents which led to closure for cleaning but in other hotels they would have waited till over night so it was a actually nice to see the reaction. Enough sun beds although it still best to go down between 8 and 9 and bag them if you need more than 2. Good mix of nationalities as well - the resort does not seem to attract international drunks or idiots which makes a really good atmosphere. I am sure the odds ones turn up but its not full of them. Nice water slides with an aware attendant which is also not a regular thing. Towels are available so if you are travelling light to fill you case up with genuine fake clothes to bring home then you can leave your towels behind. The pool music was loud and ok but they needed to go an buy some more CD's. The food was about the same as last time, Ok for around 4 days then I got sick of it. The service in the restaurant was also worse. On three occasions we have to clear tables for us to eat at, and in the evening go to the bar and get drinks as the waiters seemed totally over run. This did not happen 2 years ago, at times back then we felt like we had a personal waiter. The food struggles from repetition but I guess there is not alot you can vary with so many dishes to prepare. The restaurent is open for Break Fast, then re-opens at swiftly after for Late Breakfast. For lunch there is a 2 hour buffet from 12.30 to 2.30 and then it re-opens at 7.30 for evening meal. Between 7.45 and 8.15 however its like a cavalry charge. Meanwhile you can get burgers, chips, pasta etc from the pool snack bar between 11.00am and a bout 4.00pm at which part a pattisserie opens. Prior to the burgers coming in there are pancakes if you cannot be bothered with the breakfast in the restaurent so you will never go hungry ! No pork products are offered as expected but there are a number of local eateries doing full english with imported products if you desire. We didn't but friends did and they said it was a welcome cheap alternative. Two years ago I moaned about the Animation Team. Their was a tall balding Turkish Chap who had a younger english guy as his sidekick which didn't seem to work - they also had a british girl in the sports team, but its was entertaining and I think I was moaning for moanings sake. This year however it drove me bonkers. The sole compare whilst being good with kids and being funny was odd. He would wander around the resort sometimes just sitting at tables bored stiff, often not even acknowledging you. If you asked me he does not enjoy his job. He also struggled with the many languages and often clarity was required on what he was trying to say. The kids hour was the same every single day, Please someone send them some new CD's there are thousands of kids songs and suitable junior disco tunes (ask the Thomson girls) so having to put up the the birdy song in whatever language at 8.45 spot on every night and then a series of the same songs (guli guli rum zam zam, cho cho train and es a no no no) drives you insane and many familles only bothered once or twice. Its not hard to make it different. When your kids want to go and then want to leave within 5 minutes you know its bad. The shows, the usual staple diet of audience participation on a couple of nights which was fun, prize bingo, a Kenyan dance act which were excellent for 10 minutes then you realized they had nothing to do but to do the same acrobatics and the turkish dancing had people leaving in droves. There was also a music quiz which seemed to provoke rivalry between the nationalities in particular as the compere was awarding erratic points. It was guess the artist quickest from a track being played. I believe from the aftermath there were accusations of cheating the previous week as he handed out more points for a turkish artist then for the rest but I wasn't there. He was a bit fluid this week and was handing out points for fun as it should be even if you were not first up then there was an altercation of some sort and suddenly he was telling people he wasn't cheating and tightened all the games rules up so unless you were sat a foot from the "answer chairs" you were out of the game. Overall I think there were less brits than before, certainly the plane to Bodrum was smaller so perhaps the need for a british entertainer was negated. I don't know. It did not affect our holiday, but if you are looking for an energetic crazy animation team then be aware. There is lots of good familly entertainment in the restaurents in Altincum in the evening and the will send cars to the resort to collect you but of course they want you to eat. However its worth it 1 night a week and I suggest Pinnocios on Wednesday or Friday - booking essential so they will send a car. He has a good team around him but they seem a bit under worked and unless they are confident don't interact as much with guests than at other resorts. Thats it, a few negatives but it does not stop the fact we will be back in 2017.
