Stayed at Palm wings from the 22nd of June for one week with my friend. We stayed in a bungalow which was lovely and in a great location to get to the pool, reception etc. was good that there were so many sun beds so you didn't have to get up stupidly early, you could turn up any time of day and get one. Food was ok, not very warm and not a great variety. Lovely view of you sat outside over looking the sea, Desserts were good and we liked the fact you could get ice cream all day! Alcoholic drinks were ok and nice cocktails. Entertainment team were great, especially Nino and Sosis, good shows on at night especially the fire show. Overall we had a very enjoyable week in a lovely hotel 😊

We arrived (15th JULY 2015- 30TH JULY 2015) 2 WEEKS -Gorgeous Resort- But loose a star for restaurant service! Pleas read bottom for a few things that can make your holiday the best possible stay when staying here :D (Hotel)- We were in a hotel room, + bonus! Had a balcony, Small room but gorgeous views and very nice inside :) everything you needed!. (Grounds) - Gorgeous Grounds beautiful views, the gardeners are always out keeping the area looking beautiful , MASSIVE Resort plenty of places to hide away and relax. (Beach)- The beach is small. but secluded and private, didn't spend much time there, but gorgeous sandy beach and plenty of places to lounge including the pier and upper decking :) great place for sand castles :D (Pools)- Plenty of choice for pools, The main pool is HUGE, Always activities with animation staff every day, Water slides included :D... There is also a small child's pool, A private RELAX Adult pool, and a beautiful indoor pool. All Gorgeous! (Staff)-The staff at the resort are pleasant and interact whenever possible they will sit And spend hours talking with you, they will do all they can to help and make sure your having a great holiday(THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE RESTAURANT STAFF) (FOOD) I felt there was a fair choice of food on offer at the buffet but very repetitive, Chicken!! Cheap and available every meal time, it seemed to lack in Turkish choice, Turkish Donner was only available once every Friday on Turkish night, often the food was COLD, But hey! The food was better than the service in the restaurant! Restaurant service- Horrendous!! dam right disgusting! in the 1st week we received water 1 time!.... our glasses were taken from our table and given to another table, only when we complained did we eventually get any service, there was one staff member who always seemed to be running around doing all the hard work and he was praised and more than tipped.... IF YOUR IN A GROUP You'll get Good Service on the restaurant IF YOUR A COUPLE Just deal with it you wont! (Local area)- ( Didim, Altinkum, Gorgeous beach front plenty to do, see buy or eat :) safe as punch... A must visit place, take a walk down the front ,, you'll LOVE It (Excursions)- AVOID THE REPS!!!They charge tipple the amount for excursions, and book with the same people. We (family of 4, two adults and two children) stayed at Palm Wings for 10 days and absolutely loved the hotel! Food was good, it was repetative but that was not a problem, you could eat different meals every day. We loved all kinds of salads and fruits which was all fresh. Pool was great but we preferred going to the beach which was also great but the water was a bit cold. Weather was lovely except for the wind that was blowing every afternoon. I did mind that the beach bar was not open until 9 or 10 am and it was closed after 5pm. Also, you could not change your towels after 5pm so we had to take them to our room. We had problems with the housekeeping as they only cleaned our room in the afternoon when it was sleeping time for our kids, so 3 or 4 days our room was not cleaned at all. Bus ride from the airport to the hotel was a bit exhausting as our baby needed some sleep. The animation team was EXCELLENT!!! Mini disco after dinner was wonderful. Nino was really really nice with our kids. Would go back there for sure. The hotel is worth every penny.

Weather

Altinkum holidays mean sun, and there is no shortage of that on Turkey's turquoise Aegean coast! Temperatures here regularly reach highs of 30° Celsius and above in summer, and the winters are very mild, though rainier and overcast at times.

The best time of year to visit on holidays to Altinkum would be in either spring, summer or early autumn when the temperatures are more manageable. This assures you great weather, avoiding the peak season and of course, some quality beach-time to top up that tan!
