I thought I had reviewed this resort after our last visit in September, but cannot find my review, so here goes! Linda and I have frequented the World of Wonder a few times in the past few years. As we always said we would never go to the same place twice and I said I would not go to Turkey, this has been a bit of a turnaround! From the moment you arrive and are quickly booked in with your luggage delivered to your allocated room, you know this holiday is going to be special. Most of the rooms (especially the higher one's have fantastic views over the bay to Gumbet, especially at night with the lights reflecting on the sea. The rooms may be a little dated, but are comfortable and cleaned to an excellent standard with a fridge, safe, tea and coffee facilities plus cold drinks replenished to the fridge when used, The restaurants are superb with good service. There is the main buffet restaurant with numerous hot and cold choices (desserts to die for)(delicious soups and fresh bread you could make a meal of) and main courses which should satisfy even the fussiest eater. Wine served with every meal. With multi choice breakfast, lunch and various snacks throughout the times when the restaurants are closed you just cannot go hungry. There is a lovely large pool with a kiddie pool attached, a slide pool and a relax pool which is smaller but quiet and secluded (our favourite). There is also the private beach with water sports. There are several bars, but our favourite is the main Lobby Bar, where the service is outstanding with the staff on hand to satisfy your drinking needs and also bringing table snacks(nuts, cold or warmed, cheese and cut vegetables). The staff here are a credit to the hotel. The hotel has a Spa treatment Centre which we have used, but ensure you know what you are signing up for and how much it is going to cost you! This resort is suitable for all ages and group types. PR will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Would we go back? We have already booked for June AND September 2015.

After our stay last year, we were looking forward to this holiday. We booked the last 2 weeks in October. We were given a lovely room near the pool which partially overlooked the bay which was nice. Unfortunately the beds were rock hard. We asked guest relations if it would be possible to have softer matrasses but this was not possible. However they arranged to have extra blankets, to put on top of the matrass, sent to the room which arrived within 5 minutes. It did not help all that much but it was a little better. The service from the quest relations team and of the cleaning lady were excellent throughout the holiday. The standard of cleaning the rooms varies somewhat, last year we were not so fortunate. The staff were lovely and friendly. The a la Carte restaurants were great. So why were we not so thrilled this time? One big gripe was the smoking during the entertainment. Because of the weather the entertainment was in the pool bar which is a semi enclosed area. Under Turkish law it is forbidden to smoke in these areas and even in open air when there is entertainment. In fairness to the smokers, there was no signage to say "No Smoking". Quite a few people said that they were being choked and stopped going to the entertainment. WOW really needs to get this under control so that everyone can enjoy the entertainment. Also this time we were eaten by mosquito's, which is not the hotels fault but did not make it any nicer. Last year no problem whatsoever. It is a lovely hotel but we probably won't be going back.

When we arrived at WOW Bodrum, and entered into the spacious reception / bar / sitting area, with fantastic views over Gumbet Bay, we knew we had made the right choice. Rooms were comfortable, best to have a room higher up for the views. Main Restaurant serving buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lots of choices. Breakfast especially was my favourite, freshly made omelettes and freshly squeezed orange juice. There were 3 speciality restaurants included in the All Inclusive - Italian, Turkish and Mediteranean. All very good, but the Turkish was our favourite. Plus there was a Patesserie up above serving cakes and ice creams. Pool area is lovely, although the pool was starting to get a bit too chilly as we visited in October. Really enjoyed our stay at Bodrum WOW, hope to stay again sometime.

Bodrum is famous for its Mediterranean climate with long hot summers, pleasant spring and autumn months and mild winters.
The blistering sunshine throughout the summer months reaches highs of 30° C, however during May throughout to October Bodrum does benefit from the Meltemi wind, which offers a satisfying breeze on some of the hottest days and cools down the temperatures for a comfortable evening.
The spring and autumn months in Bodrum are popular for those wanting a bright and sunny holiday without it being uncomfortably hot. Temperatures during these months range from the low to mid 20's, meaning these months are perfect for activities such as walking and hiking, taking advantage of the beautiful scenery and bright blue skies.
The winter months see rainfall and much cooler weather, with temperatures dropping to 10°C or below, so isn't recommended as a winter sun destination.
