The hotel certainly lived up the expectations created by comments on this site and I could find nothing to complain about at all - probably a first for me The staff certainly make the hotel - they are all very friendly, helpful and so organised The a la carte restaurants are lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the barbeque. The hotel is so good it spoils you for future visits elsewhere so may just have to return!!

I suppose like most travellers who are swayed by reviews on trip advisor the Barut in Lara Is a must visit. We stayed for two nights on the 22nd and 23rd May whilst we waited for two friends to meet us on the 24th for our onward trip. I deliberated over this choice for days as I felt there were better suited hotels for our 8 year old on the Lara strip. The pictures didn't look fantastic and I must admit this booking was made because of curiosity of the faultless trip advisor reviews - surely all those people couldn't be wrong? As I sit in our other hotel ( the Delphin Platinum, I will review this at a later date) I have reflected on the Barut and I have to say there isn't one thing you can put your finger in that makes this hotel so special it is a combination of things such as...... Service from the team in this hotel was amazing, I use the word team as this is exactly what they are, working together to make your stay the best they can, I would love to witness the induction plan they have for new starters!! Everyone from reception to the bar staff to the waiters to the maintenance guys all played a part in making you feel special. With only two nights we didn't get get to see as much as we would have liked but for me the hotel and grounds were good, no bling like some of the other ones and certainly no theme to it, whilst my 8 year old would argue against me with this I really appreciated not having to have pictures against the backdrop of the titanic pretending you were Leonardo! We were upgraded on arrival to a suite, not sure if this was because of my birthday or not but to have a separate room for my daughter was very welcome. The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing and it was clear a lot of hard work goes on behind the scene to keep this appearance. The slides were enough to keep an 8 year old entertained and there were no great queues to contend with, the pools were also very nice and spacious. The one thing it didn't feel was jam packed with people, not sure if this was the time of year or not? The food was ok, nothing that would stand it apart from any other all inclusive, you know what your getting with AI and I have never been overly fanatical about the food and eating environments and experience of AI's, however Barut did mange this experience as well as could be expected. In summary and reflecting on the service we got last night in our other hotel it is the team that make this place so special, we found ourselves saying, 'bet that wouldn't of happened in the Barut' to all things from lack of service at the bar and plates not cleaned away to waiters and bar men with clearly no pride in what they do for a job. Don't get me wrong the hotel itself and grounds are really nice, not awe inspiring like some of the others on this strip but still luxurious enough, however people make this place so inviting quite simply put they all want you to have a great holiday. I finally know what the secret is of the Barut!

We stayed for a week in May 2015 and had a great holiday. This is the best all inclusive concept that we've experienced in Lara Beach and we totally understand why it's #1 in the area on Trip Advisor. Food in the main restaurant is of a good standard but if you fancy a bit of a la carte there are lots of options and you can visit them as often as you want, either booked via guest relations or through the screen link in reception. The bar service is the best of the hotels we've been to in the area with lots of international brands included free of charge (Courvoisier brandy, jagermeister etc) and we must thank Neslihan for looking after us so well - she helped to make our holiday, keeping us well supplied with "Moulin Rouge" champagne cocktails. Neslihan was very friendly and polite and is a good character to have on the front line of the hotel, even going so far as to make my wife a little gift. We also want to say hello to Nurseli, the owner of the best eyelashes we've ever seen. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable with a really good shower and we would definitely recommend this hotel for both couples or family holidays.

The weather is one of the main reasons why Antalya is so popular! Boasting, on average, 300 days of sun each year and only a few days of rain, Antalya is a fantastic holiday destination all year round.
The summer months in Antalya are absolutely beautiful, with the hottest months of July and August getting boiling! The summer months are long in Antalya, lasting from April until November. Temperatures range from 16ºC in April, rising to 28ºC in July and August and back down to 21ºC in October and 16 ºC in November.
During the winter months of December through to March the average temperatures range from 12 ºC to 13 ºC, making it pleasant weather if you want to get away from the UK's cold winters. However, December and January are Antalya's wettest months, so go prepared with an umbrella if you are going during these months.
