Wow were do I begin,I love to travel and have been lucky to have visited many wonderful countries over the years including turkey twice before, but visiting the barut lara was out of this world.Me and my friend booked it only for a weekend as it was cheaper to go there than stay at home...on arrival we were picked up at the airport in a private coach and so our weekend of being treated like royalty began, arrived at the hotel were a young man took our luggage, our mouths nearly hit the floor, first impression was fantastic,I love architecture and was blown away...the staff were outstanding,we were then shown our room and again it was beautiful and clean, housecoats and slippers mini bar and fresh fruit,we were in our element... The food again was fabulous, every hour you can eat with great variety, cocktails were superb to we did try to go through the list but there were so many to choose from, even outside they have fleece throws over the back of the chairs..they really do think of everything to make your stay so relaxing.. We went to the market on the Saturday which again was fun,the bus is just across the road outside the hotel,we tried to do as much as we could but a weekend was in no way long enough,I reckon you could go here for two weeks and never be bored for a minute, Since being home and telling my husband all about it we are going to book up ASAP Can't wait to return... the lara barut defiantly merits being a five star, thank you to everyone for making our weekend

We have three children (8, 6, 4). We really needed a holiday. Read on a see kids club comments below. Before we went, when we saw 100% of the visitors would recommend it to others (no other hotel says that) and people were going back for their 7th or 10th time, really, you don't need to do much research. So, what are you going to say? 5 stars? Sure thing, the service is great and food spectacular with variety. Many folks probably didn't look into all the hotel had; if you go for a week, you will not be able to repeat much. Room was spacious and clean. Service all round spot on. All inclusive means you don't need to worry about a thing. Entertainment is great and staff brill. The kids club; world class leadership from Meryhem. Bonus just superb and an unsung hero to make up the team with Ebru. Our kids were hooked on it, which was v reassuring (my wife is super fussy on childcare); it gave us some precious free time (!). Aside form the day time activity there is a kids disco and then show (acrobatics, parrat show etc to compete with some of the best we've seen; I've been to 70 countries). We didn't really need to leave the hotel, but if you want to head out the hotel, take a right and walk 10 mins and you will find a travel agency with rates 1/2 price of tour operator. Hotel has good exchange rates (same as cambio de exchange in same direction but 15 mins walk). Want some cheap clothes on your visit, then walk just past the travel agent; Turkey has a huge textile industry (so far the clothes haven't shrunk in the wash so I think the brands are real?!). Seriously, if you are reading this far, just book. FYI Free wifi.

We had come to expect excellent hospitality in this part of Turkey but the Barut Lara way execeeded our previous experiences and our expectations. We had a corner suite complete with a jacuzzi on a private balcony facing the sea. This plus the extras in the suite was way above what you would expect in a 5 star hotel in the UK. We have been here for a month and it has been exceptional value for money. The indoor/outdoor 20 metre pool with the gym were wonderful facilities. We were in the poolevery day and was excellent for my wiferecuperation from serious knee operations; and it was fun. The food is excellent with options for dining and the whole environment of gardens and buildings are of the highest standard. All the staff are attentive, polite, friendly and efficient. We have had extra special service from the following:- Our main room lady, Hatice Alay. Warm, extremely, efficient and scrupulously thorough. Ibreheim Sakizci. Attentive, alert to our needs and very kind. Beyez, an animator. Helped to make us feel at home, intelligent, sensitve and fun to be with. (perfect English). Nurseli, waiter. Absolutely lovely, and effiicent. Loved the way she made sure everything was tidy in the bar/lounge and polished the table all the time. Thanks to everyone. Ian and Anne from Northumberland. UK

Our stay at the Barut Lara hotel was excellent. First impression was Incredible hygiene ...the entire hotel including rooms, facilities, dining, lounge areas, spa, and lobby was cleanliness perfection and this standard never let us down. Even ash trays were changed whilst were sitting at the table. The hotel itself was beautiful. Very warm and modern feeling but homely. Within a few hours our room felt like our home. The room setup was very spacious and bright. Exactly as we had been shown on the website. On arrival we had been freely upgraded to a sea view (we booked a land view as the price was cheeper). Staff were Incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. I suffer with a lot of food intolerances and the majority of chefs and management would go far out of their way to ensure I was catered for to the best of their capability. This was a massive help and made my stay very comfortable. Food in the main food hall was excellent and fresh. The variety was large and the hygiene again was faultless. Each dish was in a separate heated hot plate with a glass lid and was labeled clearly. A grilled section was also on offer and a diet food choice. Desserts were lovely and beautifully presented. Service was brilliant. Food plates were cleared frequently and drinks topped up. Breakfast was our best meal with a large variety of sweet and savoury choices. Chefs were making food to our taste In front of us. (Cakes pastries and coffees available during the day was brilliant). We went to one reasturent on a birthday and were very happy with food, atmosphere and service. A group of waiters came at dessert with a beautiful and lovely came singing happy birthday (upon my request with no extra charge) and flowers and petrels were laid on the table. We were positivly surprised by the side variety of drinks from the bar areas. Many if our recognised imported drinks were available. Room was cleaned and bar refilled daily and staff doing these jobs were very kind. One day we chose to have a some spa therapies together and we were incredibally impressed by how comfortable we were made to feel and the professional yet personalised touches that were made by the two ladies working together on us. We defiantly received a full 5 star experience and are so very thankful to the hotel and it's staff for making our stay so wonderful. As a couple who prefer to try new places as appose to return to one place...we would defiantly consider returning!
