We went to the Hotel Planamar in May and enjoyed it so much we went back again in October, the staff are extremely welcoming and pleasant nothing was to much trouble, the food was basic but there was always something to eat , the rooms was on the small side but adequate, the bed linen was changed every day ,air conditioning in the bed rooms, balconies in all rooms ,the hotel itself was immaculate, some people complain about the hotel but what do they expect from a 3star hotel its a budget hotel if they want better then they should go to one of the 4/5 star hotels .for our money we got better than what we thought we would get, we can't wait to go back there.

Had a week here at the end of October and paid £206 all inclusive (wow) so didn't have high expectations, however was pleasantly suprised the entire hotel was clean throughout the rooms although basic had air conditioning and balconies over looking the pool area. A good mix of food served 4 times daily chips were on the menu but also pasta and vegetables. A peculiar set up at the bar where they operated a card system instead of the standard wristband and you had to make sure you return your glass at the end of drinking to obtain your card back??? but no complaints staff were mostly polite and there was no queing for drinks. Only gripe I had was that a contingent of British holidaymakers took it on themselves to drink allday and spend most of the night shouting and screaming at each other think the staff should have dealt with them instead of encouraging them to drink more, that aside had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this place for anyone wanting a cheap getaway

We stayed in the hotel planamar for a week in October and can't fault the place. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were on the small side but all you need to do is sleep in there. Sheets and towels were changed daily. We had a lovely sea view. The place is spotless. Food was plenty and a good variety. Going all inclusive we had a drinks card and had to take glass back each time to get another drink which may sound a pain but in fact worked very well as the place was not littered with empty glasses. As it was the last week of the season the entertainment was limited but this suited us. The hotel is situated by the beach and although there is a train line in front of the path outside the hotel this caused no problem, you didn't hear it and it wasn't intrusive. The shops are along the same road and very enjoyable for a walk after evening meal. We would definitely return to this hotel and would recomend it
Malgrat de Mar enjoys a coastal Mediterranean climate, ensuring year-round mild temperatures. Over the last 18 years, average annual rainfall has only been around 650mm. Autumn and spring are pleasant but cooler, or come in July and August to enjoy summer at its peak. Just don’t forget that high-factor sun lotion if you are coming on holidays to Malgrat de Mar during the peak summer months!
