My visit 10th to 24th September. Bed and breakfast. Not child friendly. Found this hotel not to be a 4 star. Hotel is winding down for the winter but that is no excuse for their lack of cleanliness. The pool area was a disgrace. Not once did I see the beds put put back, the floor swept (they must have been swept at some time because there was a pile of fallen pine needles in the corner with cat poo on the top!!!), tables wiped down. The bins were continually overflowing with rubbish. Burst lilos were left around the pool for days. The pool tiles could be scraped with your nail and the black stuff just peeled off. A lot of the black stuff was at the bottom of the pool. The tiny child's pool was the same. There wasn't even a freezer where you could buy an ice lollie - not good if you have children. If it rained, which it did when I was there, the cushions to the beds were left out, hence the next morning when you put your towel on it the water comes through so you have a wet bum. The cushions are filthy with bird poo on them. The pool food is really quite good and good value for money. In the morning there was never any cutlery or napkins on the tables. It was a free for all to hunt the cutlery. Saying that the breakfast was very good, although I didn't like seeing people stretching over food to get to the food at the back (hairy armpits over the cornflakes, not nice). On our balcony there was a roll of hair/debris blowing on the floor. It was still there when we left. Not once was the balcony floor swept or the table wiped over. The staff are all nice. Location brilliant. Brilliant bathroom with full size bath. Again as people say before the bar never opens. There isn't any air-con in the communal parts either. The air-con in our room was great. The area is great, very quiet if you want to stay up after 12ish but then you have Magaluf a short taxi ride away. An important thing to note as well is the coach cannot get down the roads as they are quite narrow by the hotel. You have to be dropped off by the supermarket and picked up by the supermarket and it is a good 4 minute walk with luggage (if you are fit).

We Stayed here in October 2013, This hotel is very small and very friendly, The staff were always so cheerful and helpful. The rooms were spotless and modern with brand new beds. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. I would recommend you ask for a sea view and a room on the second floor, the first floor rooms the view wasn't as good. we would definitely stay here again.

We have just arrived home from a week at this hotel the hotel itself was small but very nice the pool area and pool were small but adiquate for the asmount of people staying also knobody put towels on bed to reserve which was good .The rooms were basic but clean and cleaned every day the food was very good plenty of choice as we were all inclusive. The 2 beaches were a short walk away but the climb back was a killer so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems .That is were my good points end ............ the staff were the worse i have ever met the man behind the desk (old with glasses) WAS RUDE AND BAD TEMPERED .i dont think he knew how to smile or be nice to anyone apart from the foriegn holiday makers .the bar staff apart from the odd one were also horrible walking round barking out orders and one male bar staff told the other staff that my tan was all over as he was watching me (I sunbathe toppless ) they all laughed thinking it was funny i thought it was uncalled for .alot of reviews on this hotel all complain about the staff i think managment should take note .YOUR HOTEL IS LOVELY YOUR STAFF ARE BAD PLEASE TAKE NOTE

We stayed here in July 2006. This hotel was a nightmare. Although the owner has refurbished some of the common areas, the rooms were not and were very dated. The air conditioning didn't work at all and we were not offered another room. We watched in horror as the pool became dirtier by the day. You could see the lettering on the bottom of it getting harder to see each day. After four days it had disappered entirely into the murk. Breakfast was a shambles with one poor woman running around trying to deal with the whole hotel's orders. Our order was never correct. We had to hunt every morning for cutlery and a clean glass. I ate my eggs and bacon with a spoon one morning as there were no forks. We were shocked to see the owner chewing out a member of staff in public. I felt very sorry for the staff. We got out of there as quickly as we could each morning and returned as late as possible. Portals Nous is a lovely resort with a nice beach and excellent restaurants. But do not stay here.
