My husband chose this hotel as a surprise 3 night break for me as a 30th birthday treat - absolutely wonderful! The hotel left complementary bottle of champagne in the room on arrival which was a lovely touch. I think this hotel does its utmost to provide for a variety of clientele. It covers couples holidays with the adult only areas but also caters so well for families. We enjoyed our stay so much that I have just booked to return again next year with our 3 children. The all inclusive is excellent value for money. The food is great, so much choice and very tasty. The staff at this hotel couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The rooms are amazingly spacious, with walk in wardrobe and the bathrooms are just fabulous! Very pleasantly surprised and far surpassed most other holidays we have taken elsewhere. We took a walk down to the Marina Rubicon which was extremely pleasant of an evening to walk off dinner and have a drink in lovely surroundings. We don't mind a 15/20 minute stroll and there are plenty of places to sit along the way if needed. The sea views are just gorgeous and the resort felt very peaceful. Admittedly we went just outside of peak season. The cleanliness was just top notch - I'm quite picky in that respect and honestly this is the cleanest hotel I've stayed in! The whole atmosphere was relaxed and chilled and just what we were hoping for. We pretty much sunbathed and swam most of our short trip and we were able to relax completely and do our thing :) The only thing that caused us some irritation was our transfer from the airport to the hotel - this is nothing to do with the hotel itself. This hotel tends to be the last on the shuttle run so expect a long journey if on a shared shuttle. Next time I will take a private transfer.

The hotel is 5* We thought the food was excellent. The room was perfect. As a couple travelling without children we enjoyed the adult only pool. There is a restaurant without children but you pay €38 each .Worth for the view. I would go back if they made part of their large restaurant permantly adults only

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It's the best all inclusive we have been to in Europe. I cannot understand negative reviews however I overheard people complaining about the most ridiculous things so that might explain it. People always find something to whinge about. Leaving a bad review because you don't like the soap/shampoo/conditioner is ridiculous, take your own. When do you ever get Vidal Sassoon in a hotel room. The hotel doesn't HAVE to provide you with a courtesy room, there are showers in the toilets by the pool you can use if you want the luxury of a room pay the 50 Euros and keep your own room on! The touches that make this hotel so wonderful are things like branded drinks (Smirnoff, not cheap vodka) waiter service for the drinks at the bar, bottles on wine in a wine cooler at the ends of the tables at night, the room providing robes, slippers, razors, toothbrushes etc. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful, they work so hard. Especially the animation team. Aside from the main entertainment there was also a different singer every night out on the terrace which was a lovely setting to sit and have drinks (again, table service for the drinks). The food was lovely, so much choice. The Italian and Chinese restaurants you can book but they weren't great, the Chinese was watery and bland - not horrible by any means but just like what you would buy in a supermarket. The Italian lacked atmosphere but the fillet steak was gorgeous. Please don't be put off by the negative reviews. It is a gorgeous hotel and we can't wait to go back

First of all, in my opinion this hotel offers 5 star facilities. The rooms are enormous - we upgraded to a seaview and it was actually a junior suite. The choice of food on offer at breakfast, lunch and dinner was extensive, fresh and well cooked. The staff were amazing, this is probably obne of the friendliest hotels i have ever been to, and I have traveled a lot. They cannot do enough for you. The Sansofe restaurant is worth paying extra for, it's location is picturesque and the food very nice indeed, and again the service was impeccable. The adult only pool was a god send, very peaceful. However this hotel caters predominantly for families, and was full to bursting with kids, even though it was out of school holidays. Unfortunately many parents seem to let their children do whatever they please with little consideration for other guests. Whilst this is not the hotels fault I do feel they could do more to alleviate the chaos at the main restaurant by offering an adults only zone perhaps. In short a very nice hotel, but I would only go back if there were more adult only areas.
Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
