I stayed at the hotel for a week in April with my wife and 2 year old son and we had a great time! The room was very spacious, food delicious- we were spoilt for choice! , there was also a choice of swimming pools with few suitable for toddlers. There was plenty to do for my son even on a cloudy colder day! All the staff at the hotel was really helpful. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot close to marina which was perfect for us as we enjoyed daily walks along the coast. As it was our first family holiday, we really wanted it to be perfect and I need to admit that the hotel exceeded our expectations! I would definitely recommend it!

Excellent service. The staff here are friendly and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The only exception to this was the service in the asian restaurant, where the waiter needs to be trained in customer service. Buffet food quality is very good, if a bit repetative. However, for a week's stay this is not an issue. Breakfast in Italian made a nice change. Walk to marina was nice. There's shops, bars and restaurants to explore. Rooms very spacious. Maid service is very good. Car hire is cheap, given the strong pound. This get you to explore a wider range of beaches to the north and east of the island I would return.

We stayed here from 16th to 19th April as a long weekend break, and had a fantastic time. The staff were great from start to finish and special thanks must go to Jesus who couriered our cases to our room, and to Ricardo who managed the Adult Only Pool Bar. We were given a room upgrade which overlooked the children's pool area, and weren't bothered by any noise. Our room was very clean, well laid out and spacious. The main pool areas were busy, but the Adult Only Pool area had plenty of sun beds and was peaceful as no loud music blaring. We breakfasted in the Italian restaurant which didn't have the usual congestion as per the norm at buffet style meals. Food was good, but nothing special. Suited everyone's tastes. The entire complex was kept very clean. Loved the location, as we could walk to the marina in 20 minutes. Can't wait to return.

5* staff not a 5* hotel too big

24 April 2015

We stayed here for a week over Easter with our two children. We had a warm welcome at the hotel, along with champagne welcome drinks. The room we had was lovely with us having a room upstairs and the children downstairs. It had a nice view of the volcano. All staff were friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant had a good variety of food. There was also an oriental and Italian restaurant. The grounds and pool were clean and tidy. There was the usual issue of people putting towels out on sunbeds. But was good to see the staff removing them so wasn't a problem to find a bed. This hotel had everything we wanted and needed. Would say it's one of the best I've stayed in whilst Holiday. Would highly recommend!

Tourist Information

Weather

Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.

Jabs

As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
