Just back from the Castillo San Jorge & Antigua (we stayed in the San Jorge half). There were 6 of us in our family - we had two 1 bedroomed apartments. The apartments were clean and spacious - our rooms were cleaned regularly and the towels were also changed every 1 or 2 days. Lots to do if you want to take part and 2 pools - the one at the front of the Antigua is much warmer than the one in the middle of the San Jorge and unfortunately there was the usual fight for the sun beds but we alternated with trips to the 2 beaches. There is a free bus service to the shopping centre behind the 2nd beach (in our opinion this was the better beach and was great for snorkelling). The resort is lovely, clean and feels very safe. I would echo what another reviewer has put about the Atlantico trip, bit of a let down. we though we would get to spend time on the beach and also go on the banana boat/ snorkelling but when we got there it was one or another. However, we were lucky to see a loggerhead turtle and flying fish on the way back. If you can, hire a car and head for the mountains and then down to Jandia, amazing views and a beautiful beach at Jandia. On the way we stopped at a fish restaurant called Bahia La Pared at a place called La Pared and had lunch overlooking the sea. The restaurant has a pool with a water slide that you can use. we also visited the zoo Oasis which was lovely (although a bit expensive). The coach picks you up around 9am and leaves there at 6pm and we did wonder what we would do for around 7 or 8 hours there but we did need all that time to see all the shows, the animals and the camel caravan. The staff at the hotel were all lovely especially the lady who ran the snack bar during the day.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very bright, clean and spacious. The beds were lovely and comfy which is very unusual. The rooms were cleaned regularly and although the towels were changed every other day it is not a problem to call down to reception and request clean ones. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent fresh fish grilled in front of you chicken, steaks and pork also. Lots of fresh salad and nice deserts. The food in the snack bar was cooked to order even if you are all inclusive and was also good especially the onion rings with bbq sauce. The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss really. There was few good shows, The Beatles tribute, the gymnasts/acrabats were also very good but Bubble Clown was terrible. It would be nice to have somewhere nice to sit inside and have a drink as well as the outdoor entertainment area. All in all lovely hotel and would definitely recommend it especially to families.
This is our 9th return to this hotel. The staff are friendly, the food and cleanliness are of a high standard. Would recommend this hotel to all ages. The pool areas are really large and there are...
We stayed here for a week in August. My husband & myself & 2 teenage daughters. Would say hotel geared to younger families kids club looked fantastic lots of different activities. Other guests were mainly younger families or young couples. The staff were all very friendly & helpful and food was very good with good selection. Even my 16 year old fussy eater managed to eat well every day! Overall we had a nice relaxing week. Would recommend to families but don't think we would return as our family probably a bit too old.

This is our 9th return to this hotel. The staff are friendly, the food and cleanliness are of a high standard. Would recommend this hotel to all ages. The pool areas are really large and there are always plenty of sun beds. The hotel is in a superb location just 5 minutes walk to shops and bars. The beach is only 5 minutes walk as long as you take the short cut next to the Barcello Hotel or for a good walk you can use the coastal route. The entertainment and pool activities are constant throughout the day.
