Well, let’s get the best part of the holiday out of the way. The hotel was absolutely brilliant. I stayed here in October of last year as a single occupant. This time I returned with my wife. We stayed for a week from 9th to 16th April. The hotel was very clean, the staff at the reception, restaurant and cleaning were all lovely people, and greeted you with a smile, especially when I tried to communicate in Spanish. We upgraded our room after two days from room 308 to 409, where we had a larger room, but more importantly a super view on the sea, pools and part of the marina. The people at reception were excellent at changing the room and more importantly allowed us the opportunity to view the room before we agreed to take it. The food was superb. There have been quite a few reviews where the main complaint being the food was not hot. This certainly was not the case during our stay. The food was hot, especially the soup, and the choice was top drawer – we stayed half board. Entertainment is geared up the same as all the other hotels in this area, as long as you know this, you will not be disappointed, it is predominantly for the Spanish folk, but that is the same as holidaying in England where it is tailored for the Brits. The beds in both rooms were large, almost doubles, so you there was plenty of room. At reception we asked for an extra pillow for both of us, which arrived whilst we were out and about. The rooms were cleaned every day if you wanted it; we choose to have it cleaned every other day. The gardens and pool area are very nice and there were plenty of sunbeds. Now the bad part. The weather was overcast for 5 of the 7 days, but it was still around 20 degrees which allowed you to go for long walks along the front – mile after mile, and to the park. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning in May.

I stayed for a week with my husband day after I got married 3rd to 10th April. I have stayed here with my children a few times not for a few years. Positives - clean rooms, maids in every morning an very friendly. Breakfast a good choice and nice. Gardens and pools an reception area nice. Bar staff and reception staff nice and friendly except for older bar man who is rude. I was bitten about 30 times and my husband too in the room of hotel, which is a problem. I asked when booking for sea view told when arrive have to pay €5 each per person per night stay. Safe extra €2 per night. Stayed half board evening meal was repetitive same things to eat every night. Not very nice. Need to change it. The entertainement was poor a few years ago. Now it is even worse. Bingo and a quiz by someone dressed in wizard outfit and singers in Spainish. The main guests are old Spanish people feel like you are in a old peoples home. who are rude and just stare at you. Who have no manners if you held lift or opened a door open. The location of hotel is great few min walk to marina and beach. The cocktail of day for €2.90 is a good idea. Entertainment needs changing, gym equipment needs fixing half of it broke..

The staff were all great and very helpful, however the front of house staff aren't the problem here. Before I go into my gripes about this hotel please bear in mind that around Easter in these types of hotels they run differently to other times of the year. So the review; The food was without exception the worst I have experienced in a 3 star European hotel. I am well-travelled but have never been faced with the dilemma of cold food on the hot servery and such a low standard of cooking and ingredients used. I guess everything is relative and to some people the food is probably better than what they would normally eat. Even breakfast was disappointing and I do not expect to have to queue 8 persons deep to get a cup of coffee from a machine that only produces muddy puddle water. The Wi-Fi is useless in the rooms, either ridiculously slow or no signal whatsoever. No mirror on the dressing table. TV has Bbc Worldservice as the only English speaking channel. Towels are old, tiny and over-softened, therefore they don't remove the water from your skin, they merely redistribute it. The hotel evening entertainment was not my idea of entertainment but when the majority of guests are Spanish and over 60 yrs you can imagine what it was like. The front entrance sliding glass electric doors were sticking shut the entire time we were there and I had to prize them open to leave or enter reception. One of the 2 lifts also out of order the entire time. Lots of mosquitoes, even in the dining room. I'm sure the hotel manager will have the usual measured response and these points may be minor in isolation but when you add them together they make for an unpleasant experience. It's strong management, effective reactive maintenance processes, staff training and attention to detail that makes a great hotel.

I went with my family a week which inlcuded Thursday and Friday of Easter week. At the begining the hotel was full of elderly people due to the Imserso. And oddly the food changed when the weekend came because before it wasn't the best they could offered us. The swimming pool was clean and quite big and enough hammocks for every users. The hotel was very clean and the service good. The parking pretty cheap and if you had the luck to park quite comfortable. Well located, five real minutes from the beach. Good place in relation price-quality.
Year round, Benalmadena enjoys a mild, humid climate with hot, dry summers that typically range from 26 to 32° Celsius from May until August. The water temperature rarely drops below the low twenties in the summer, making it the ideal climate to catch a few rays or enjoy the clarity of the warm, blue waters off the coast.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
