The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a minibar and a safe. Have just returned from an amaing holiday in Portaventura. Having read some negative reports regarding the El Paso hotel on here we were a bit scepitcal as to what we were going to walk into.....well all i can say is dont beleive everything that is written on here!!!!! We cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. We were checked in within 15 mins of arriving although our room wasnt available until 3pm we had lunch in the hotel and when we went back to reception we were told our room was available. The rooms were clean and had a good air con system which was defo required. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis to a very good standard. The food although a bit repetative was good and plentyful. Yes you did have to queue at times but this has to be exspected in a hotel this size with an all inclusive board. The two pool bars were really good with plentyful snacks available throughout the day. Overall the hotel service was excellent and really fantastic staff. Now for the main reason we visited, Portaventura!!!!!!!! The El Paso is ideally situated for the park, less than 5 mins and you are there. Also vouchers provided for lunch or dinner in the park on a daily basis was really a good idea as it meant you could spend all morning or evening in the park. One thing that is great value for money is the express wrist bands, 61 euro per person for the week from the hotel. The queues were at least 2 to 3 hours long for some of the rides but with the bands the max we waited would be ten mins per ride. To summerise we couldnt have been more happy with this holiday and thanks to Jet Two and the staff at El Paso......hopefully see you all next year as we are looking to book again.

Myself and my husband went here to kick start our honeymoon on 15th July 2015 for four nights. We arrived at 10pm, check in was speedy enough but we were the only people arriving at that time! By the time we had checked in and put our suitcases in our room it was after 10.30. We went on a walkabout the hotel looking for food of some sort. There was none to be had! There was a vending machine which made fresh popcorn which we didn't fancy! We settled on a couple of vodkas at the bar and a bag of crisps! We regretted not eating on the plane!! If you are booking this hotel request not to be placed on the top floor. Unfortunately that was where we were placed even though we had requested a balcony as my partner is a smoker. The top floor has no balcony just a small slide open window. The room itself was very small but comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is lovely, food is great, it was hot and fresh and because there are a few serving stations there was never a massive queue. At breakfast time you are asked to specify a 15 minute slot each day you are there to arrive for breakfast. Again this stops it being too busy. We had decided to stay at the park as we are both big kids and love theme parks. It's not worth it! It is impossible to go to the park during the day as some of the rides had queues of 2hrs 20 mins and it was far too hot to stand in queues pressed up against strangers! The "all inclusive" means you get a food voucher per day per person for certain restaurants in the park. The best bit about the hotel has to be the swimming pool. It was huge! Very clean and loads of sun loungers! We would not stay at this hotel again, it is not worth the money. If you are a theme park lover, stay in one of the many hotels near the park and pay for the discounted evening ticket when the park is quieter! Oh and do not get taxis if you can help it! The airport is a short 4/5 mile journey to the hotel and cost 30 Euros. Pay for transfer instead!

Myself and 7 year old son stayed at hotel El paso from 26th June to the 3rd July we arrived here just before 10.30 am and stood for 2 hours waiting in a queue to check in no air con on in reception the heat was stifling finally got to check in before being told the room wasn't ready this I had prepared for as I'd previously read the reviews so this wasn't an issue but what was an issue was when I queued up again at 2.45 pm to be told room still wasn't ready we finally got our room key at 4.30 pm at this point we were exhausted as we had been up from 1 am the previous day preparing for our travels we went and found our room which was the last building on the complex on entering the room myself and my son who has Asthma and constant reacurrant chest infections hence the reason why I take him away as the heat helps his chest we could barely breathe in it it was that bad with damp it was thick in the air we turned and left to go back to reception to refuse this room considering I had paid £1876 for 1 weeks stay here for myself and child which was not cheap and for a 4* hotel I was totally shocked at this I informed the receptionist of this she went into an office out back left us standing for over 45 mins wondering what's going on a whole day wasted on waiting for a room to be givin a room like that was disgraceful I ended up seeing the Thomas Cook rep named Stacey and told her what was happening she went into the office to find out what was happening Stacey then came out with a different room key in another building the room still wasn't the greatest for what was paid but by this stage we'd had enough and accepted the room the rep then said she would be asking for the key for the 1st room we were givin to inspect it for herself I told her I'd speak to her the next day at the welcome meeting to discuss what her thoughts were on it the next day I asked her and could not believe her response when she informed me that the hotel refused to give her the key to inspect it that to me spoke Volumes on how BAD that room was but hotel El paso thought it acceptable to give us it and with a sick child is even worse I filled out a complaints form something I've never had to do and I travel 3-4 times a year TC rang our room and offered us free water park tickets for the inconvenience of it all as way of a bit of compensation she said to collect them from reception they would be waiting on us I tried for over 2 days to get those tickets and each time to be told I'd have to pay for them i constantly tried to explain the situation until someone finally listened and got them for us we decided to go to the water park the next morning we joined the queue to get in I got in 1st my little boy was behind me as I turned to see what was keeping him he was refused entry which meant by now there was a barrier between my 7 year old child and I I kept asking what was going on to be told one moment after 40 mins a park manager came to say his ticket had been used on the 25th of June bearing in mind we arrived on the 26th a day later I showed my meal voucher tickets to prove this as are date of arrival and departure were on them only to be yelled at shouting go back to hotel go back to hotel while I overheard people in the queue saying she's trying to use a ticket that's already been used I felt absolutely mortified by this and our treatment by the water park staff but mostly at hotel El paso for giving me a used ticket they should have known that my little boy was so upset by all this and being turned away he took an Asthma attack with the emotional upset of it all and this in turn upset me so much it was awful as I was on my own with him trying to calm him down giving him his medication and getting his breathing under control I was fuming at our treatment especially the reason we were givin these tickets in the 1st place when I informed the hotel about it they didn't give a damn unfortunately Stacey the rep was on airport duties that day but seen her the next day about it she couldn't believe it I broke down in reception about it all it was one holiday if you could call it that that I woke up every day and my 1st thought of the day was at least I'm one more day closer to going home and all this was what I had the pleasure ( NOT ) in paying £1876 for I have taken these issues up with TC when I got home only to be told they are not accepting any responsibility and as far as I'm concerned they have now lost a customer who has traveled with them for years 3-4 times a year their loss as for those thinking of going to hotel El paso think again and spend your money in a proper 4* hotel I wouldn't even rate this hotel with 2 stars it an absolute disgrace of a hotel

Obviously more expensive due to being in the park which is understandable. Same food every day though which was only just about warm. We were all inclusive so there was a good mix of foods to choose from but after day two it got quite boring. The park for us, compensated the lack lustre hotel but overall we had a great time.
