Couldn't find any fault with this hotel at all the food was very good the rooms were clean &tidy, the staff were very polite & most helpful. I felt like I was wanted there. It was a lovely holiday...
This was my first all-inclusive holiday and also my last. The hotel and staff were fine but the food was awful and totally repetitive, boiled potatoes, carrots and beans seemed to be the vegetables every lunch and dinner and vegetable soup also made an excessive number of appearances. The fresh fruit usually contained mouldy oranges, black bananas and apples and pears that had been eaten into by some sort of animal. There also appeared to be a shortage of tables, as if you were not into the meal at opening time you had to join a queue to wait for a table to become free. This is the first time I have ever come across this phenomenon and it would seem better to have 2 sittings to alleviate the problem. We therefore ended up going out for dinner most nights. There was music blaring all day and night and unfortunately it seemed to be the same songs every day. There were also people who were obviously there just to drink themselves silly and a lot of foul language, not least from the children, the parents of whom were just as bad.

Just returned from a fabulous 10 day holiday at the planamar hotel We went with an open mind due to some of the awful reviews Fantastic holiday and will definitely be returning. Yes the hotel is dated but in an Olde worlde type of way but everything else made up for this. Very helpful and efficient reception Pedro explained about the safe and WiFi etc The hotel is set in a beautiful floral garden and even has bananas growing The pool was lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds, with beautiful bougainvillea trees set around There was always plenty of food available for breakfast there was a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit with four varieties every bread you could think of + croissants cakes and biscuits. Also a selection of cold meats and cheeses, bacon ,sausage, eggs which were fried, scrambled and boiled baked beans and pancakes. The Evening Meal was soup with bread or rolls, cold meats, salad and cheese. There were at least three meat dishes a fish dish and a vegetarian option There were also chips ,boiled potatoes ,vegetables and plain pasta. Desserts were jelly, ice cream, cake, caramel or fresh fruit. There was always plenty to eat. Chef was always present and the waiting staff helpful friendly and hardworking. A big thank you to Jaime for a very well run and efficient restaurant and a special thanks to Olga for looking after us so well. The staff were so friendly we felt that we had always known them. The bar staff were great too no empty glasses in the garden or pool area and tables wiped down regularly throughout the day. The room was clean and tidy with sheets and towels changed every day. Bathroom with a selection of complimentary toiletries and Powerful shower with hot water whatever time you showered. We had a small balcony with 2 chairs and also the sea view that I asked for The fridge in the room was very useful ( free but you need a key from reception to operate) Free entertainment everyday children's activities and games in the morning and games by the pool in the afternoon Well managed by the very lovely Daphne and Beatrix. There was also a free reptile show where you could handle the snakes if you wished Evening entertainment was karaoke, flamenco dancing ,magician, & local singers. 2 minutes from the beach and yards from the shops. This was a perfect relaxing location which is just what we were after All in all we felt that this was great value for money and the staff were all excellent. We look forward to returning next year.

Ok Im not fussy at all so i will start with the good the room was spotless and the cleaners did an amazing job .The Reception team was amazing The gentleman was so helpfull but there was one young girl that obviously forgot what manners and a smile was . The pool was small but nice ( no Kids pool ) . for the reviews that said the bar staff where friendly I will disagree the bar staff wouldn't know what a hello was but the restaurant staff went out of there way to be friendly .The kids club didnt have a clue what they where doing friendly enough but I would say not the best As for the food my mum found something to eat where I found it hard to find anything other than chips ( Im not a fan of chips either ) I did try what was offered but it was not good so i went out to eat x I would recommended this place for a cheap week in Spain but please go self catering

Anyone going to this hotel your in for a treat! I had the most amazing holiday and most of it was spent at the hotel! The staff are awesome, very friendly and love to chat, entertainment is good. Reptile show was awesome. The rooms are very basic but very clean. The pool area is quite small but has a lovely seating area which is so eye pleasing! The beach is literally on the front with many many shops close by. I will be going back next year! Well done Planamar
