Yesterday we returned after 11 lovely nights at Royal Beach. I was attracted to this hotel as it was advertised as single parent friendly. And it was true. I stayed with my 2 sons, aged 6 and 9. The room was quite simple, but air conditioned and cleaned daily. The bedding and towels were changed daily, too. We arrived late at night. I booked through lowcost holidays and requested food on that night. A kind security man took us to the dining hall where we had some cold snacks, fruit and a bottle of water. The all inclusive card system does take a little bit of getting used to, but come on, we all are intelligent grownups with common sense. On the first morning I knew I had to know and was by the pool sipping sangria. Some people on here complained about plastic cups cutting their lips...not sure how that could happen. Haven't seen any of this happening. Food...I think for the price it's excellent. A had lots of healthy freshly cooked local veg, meat, fish and fruit. My kids are fussy eaters, who started off by eating bread at first( which was delicious, by the way). Soon after I managed to make them have a selection of veg and pasta, chicken, fish fingers and fruit. There are always chips available, pasta and ice cream, so nobody will go hungry. They have also cooked a variety of local dishes, which were fun to try. Drinks: we had to show our hotel cards each time to get a drink, plus swap them for pale green cards, which you get back after you return your glass. Sometimes the queues were a bit long, but this was expected. There were many opportunities to get merry.;) Tea and coffee were available at the bar all day. I have read reviews on here that bar staff were rude... Nobody has ever been rude to me, they were always so happy and smiley, although they work so hard. The pace at which they work is unbelievable. They also communicate in different languages. Entertainment: my kids absolutely loved staying there. They loved the swimming pool, it was really hard to get them out. They made lots of friends and played outside till 12 am. The hotel is very safe and child friendly. Younger children enjoyed dancing and singing with the entertainment team, who are so lovely and energetic. I left my boys in the kids club twice, they didn't complain. At around 12 in the afternoon, we had fun aqua disco, similar to zumba, led by the entertainment team. Foam parties and water sports sessions were fun, too. The best thing was having the beach 5 minutes walk away...We also took a boat trip to Tossa and a day trip to Barcelona. So, generally, the holiday was a great value for money, lots of positive emotions and wonderful memories. The Spanish staff were very hard working and pleasant.

We went to the Royal Beach for 7 days from 18th - 25th July 2015, 2 adults and 5 kids, age 17, 17, 14, 13 and 11. We had two rooms on the same corridor. The rooms were comfortable and clean, on the small side but we did have 4 beds in one, 3 in the other. Both rooms were clean but a bit tired could do with a refurbishment over the winter to freshen up and fix minor things. Rooms had air conditioning which was a god send overnight. We went AL for the first time this year and was worried that the hotel would be noisy but had no problems. The drinks were small and we had to queue alot but the kids loved being able to go up and get there own soft drinks, tea and coffee machine was available at all times. The pool area was full in the days, normal thing of people saving sunbeds with towels while they went for breakfast but plenty of tables and chairs available. The food- i found the food to be lovely every meal, lots of choices, lots of fish, salads, meats, pasta etc. All seemed fresh and tasty. The hotel caters for alot of Europeans so food shows this, no British sausage and mash lol, but still plenty of choice, same with desserts, yum.

We've just come back from 7 nights all inclusive at this hotel. after visiting here and re reading the bad reviews its clear to see that they are exaggerated. I am a RIDICULOUSLY fussy person with food, hygiene you name it I'm fussy with it so I was very nervous about going to a new place I'd never been before. We arrived at around 3am and we're shown to our room straight away. We had to pay a fee of 7€ each on arrival something to do with tourist tax or. We asked for a safe but that cost 36€ or something ridiculous for the week so we said no to that. I WAS VERY AGAINST SAYING NO! turns out it was a safe hotel. We put everything away in our suitcases before leaving and when we came back the cleaners had cleaned everything and not touched our suitcases. VERY nice cleaners always saying hello and they ensure everything is clean.. They clean daily so if you don't want them in your room (which I didnt) pop the DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door and they don't come in. Let's talk FOOD. Yes it was repetitive HOWEVER that was ONLY the basic food so you had chips, rice, salad ect but every day there was a main area which had a different type of food for dinner. They had themed nights such as Italian, Mexican, wrap nights. I am literally the world's most fussy eater and I ate something every day. Breakfast is the same daily as is lunch but dinners vary. I stuck to cheese on toast for breakfast if you don't like fry up and chip butties for lunch if you don't like meat. Amazing restaurant right opposite called roxys amazing pizzas.. and there's a place called america up the road if you fancy yourself a posh Italian dinner. It's not that expensive my partner and I took away 700 euros and we came back with 150. We went on many trips.. water parks, marine land, Barcelona and to the medevil night. I suggest booking everything through the hotel. You get it crazy cheaper and you have your busses free so you don't have to panic about finding your way. You do have to get one drink at a time and take you cup back up to get a new cup and drink but if you go o many hotels all inclusive you will find this in many places so can't really complain. The staff are so friendly and funny and up for a good time. Pool is always busy it's seems to be where everyone spends most of their day. There is a jacuzzi and bar on the roof if you want away from screaming kids.. Beach is literally a 2 minute walk away. I thought I was amazing for the price we paid and I'd defiantly come back again if I had the chance
