This was a standard hotel with satisfactory rooms. During half term, so lots of "laddy" groups there, making lots of noise all through the night. Room walls are thin, so can hear lots. Food was the best part as it was all inclusive with a very good variety (even a spanish themed night one evening) Evening entertainment was good each evening with traditional spanish culture shining through.Very close to the beach!

We liked the hotel because it is so near the beach. We were here two years ago, this time it was mostly Spanish and French families, only one British coach, and we thought a good atmosphere. The food is OK for vegetarians, with salads, pasta and rice, but not much in the way of meat, apart of course from chicken. We liked it as a base for trips out.

First girls holiday away. Received a warm welcome on arrival by reception staff but after handing us our room key we were left to find everything ourselves, as well as having to work out how the drink system worked with the cards. A pointer to where things are would have been nice! Luckily had looked on TripAdvisor before going and saw that there was a rooftop bar and jacuzzis, where we spent the first day and the barman Jose was very helpful, telling us how the system with the cards worked also looking after us for the whole week with directions to the nightlife strip, aloe vera for our sunburn and hangover cures, such a lovely, chatty man. Staff on the main bar are very nice, always cheerful and dancing. Cannot fault the cleanliness of our room and the hotel overall. Friend had an accident and needed first aid attention immediately, reception just made us look for the lifeguard ourselves for assistance. When we did eventually find him he was pretty useless, just putting a plaster over a deep cut that needed steri-strips to pull it back together, which we had to go to the chemist to buy some and do ourselves. Restaurant staff on the door were very welcoming and friendly. The food was basic and you had the grand choice of chips, pasta or undercooked meat every day. Daily intake by the end of the week was 2 bread rolls, don't take up weight watchers, just stay here for a week! Hotel location was perfect, beach 2 mins walk, main strip about 10mins if that. WiFi signal in room is poor but love the free 15mins a day. Cannot fault the hotel other than poor food and clueless staff, amazing value for money, really enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again.

Hi we got back from this hotel on Sunday, there was 4 of us ages from 58-17 a family. I will start by saying that we only do cheap or value for money holidays so are use to hotels in the lower star bracket. This hotel is not a 4* please don't be fooled into thinking that it is we have stayed in better 2*. This hotel would not be suitable for families in high season, there were 3 stag parties in last week. Ok so if you decide that you want to find out for yourself then don't forget to pack your ant powder, our 2 rooms were both full of ants, in the sink, on the bathroom shelf, on the bedside cabinet, on the headboards, in the bed and in the draws, giving a new meaning to ants in ya pants ! The bedrooms were very dirty, the floor was never cleaned. That's the bedrooms covered, oops forgot to say if you have a room overlooking the hotel entrance then be prepared for noise, very loud shouting noise, that reminds me we were in room 138 and at 2.40am room 139 thought it would be fun to invite the whole of Llorett to their bedroom, shouting, arguing, swearing, banging doors for the first time ever I had to ring reception to get security to sort it out twice. Now the biggie..the food Oh sweet Lord it is disgusting, the theme nights were the worst we just had to eat out. Roxys across the road did fantastic food and on entering there it was like a Hotel Royal Beach reunion, people we had been talking to around the pool, or in the bar, or in the restaurant area were also eating in there because they too feared for their life if they were to eat back at the hotel. Plus points....pool area was ok, no fight for sunbeds, although one side of the pool did take a while to get the sun but that's no ones fault. Life guard on duty from 10am every day and he did stop the stag parties from causing havoc in the pool and there was a fatal incident in the pool and again the life guard earned his money, fast acting. There is a small pool on the roof but once the stags got asked to put the ball away in the pool, they moved up to the roof "where it is quiet, and we can play with our balls !" The location to the beach is good, under 5 mins walk, the hotel is located outside the main shopping and holidaying area in Llorret itself, there is a bus stop literally on the hotel doorstep. There are a number of shops, supermarkets and bars and a crazy golf right outside the hotel. It is mainly a residential area but the noise picks up early hours of the morning. We would not go back to this hotel if it was offered free. The best thing about the holiday was the weather and I'm sure if that was left to the hotel to sort it would have rained all week. best advice be prepared take your ant powder. Forgot you get 15 mins of free wifi every hour.
