Amaika is a 4-star hotel centrally placed in Calella. This hotel was excellent with pleasant, helpful staff, ideally positioned a few steps from the main strip.Themed on the titanic the furnishings were very plush, with carpetted corridors which greatly reduces room noise. The atmosphere was very relaxed, not very many children or noisy youths. Food was varied and of better quality than expected in all inclusive hotels.Drinks served until midnight with two drinks per person allowed. Very little queuing if any. A good feature was that all inclusive did not end on checking out but continued for a period after. Visited the two other HTOP hotels in the resort (which you are allowed to use their facilities) but were not as appealing as the Amaika. Would highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I recently returned from 8 days in this hotel and is the fourth time I've been there and about the tenth for my wife. The standard throughout is very high and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. As usual all the meals are buffet and the variety is tremendous. It would be very difficult not to find something you liked. The hotel was full at some times during our stay but there were never any long queues in the dining room or bar. As we were all inclusive we made ready use of both. The pool is a little on the small side but again, it didn't get crowded. If the beach is more your thing then loungers and parasols can be purchased at reduced beach rates from the reception. The beach is only about 250 yards away. We didn't make use of the daytime entertainment (too lazy) but the evening entertainment was generally fairly good. The magic show being the best of the bunch.

lovely hotel with titanic theme in most of the building. Every where clean and tidy with friendly staff. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day with towels replaced. This hotel provides good activities such as bike hire and kayaking (for free). The dinning area is hit and miss. We spend 20 minutes looking for a plate at dinner time. At breakfast time we couldn't find a cup or glass for a drink. Staff work really hard to please but there isn't enough of them at busy times. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from beach and town centre. In general this hotel is very good and we would go back.
As you would expect from this part of the word, Calella basks in a coastal Mediterranean climate, ensuring year-round mild temperatures. Autumn and spring enjoy cooler weather, or come in July and August for summer at its hottest. The weather is perfect for Calella holidays no matter what time of year you visit. East is ideal for golf, summer is excellent for sun tanning while Autumn is an ideal time for an offpeak holiday in Calella. Just don’t forget to slap on that high-factor sunscreen!
