Hotel was nice although the bedrooms were a little tired but cleaned every day. We stayed first week of Easter School holidays but not much open in Callella. The bar/entertainment area was lovely and so was the pool. Although there wasn't many children there my Grandaughters were offered activities by the animation team. Food was average we stayed AI not much choice of meat but always fish. We were disappointed that the reception staff spoke very little English on a few occasions. Location was good not far from the lovely beach and also close to the shopping centre. Having visited the other H-top hotels in Calella this one has better location although Calella Palace looked very nice.

Stayed for 3 nights, what i can say, that rooms, views, food was very nice, can not fault it. I would imagine during summer it gets busy and would not want to stay with kids, as the pool area very small. There was no entertainment at all, and reception guys did not speak English. Basic hotel, but with good food and nice location, very good for out and about, as i said not much to do within hotel.

Stayed over the Easter period for 11 nights (had 2 extra nights because of French air traffic controllers' strike). Staff very helpful - phoned airline in Barcelona for us and made sure that we were passed onto English speaker in order to rearrange cancelled flight. Clientèle largely older British and Spanish couples (in 70's) before Easter, older Spanish couples plus some British families over Easter itself and more of a mixture after Easter with other nationalities but still predominately older Spanish people. This resulted in quite a quiet hotel, with the majority of people changing for the evening meal. This suited us because although we are not in that age bracket, we prefer to avoid noisy hotels and do not need facilities for young children. We were All Inclusive and we have to say that we have no real complaints about the food. There was quite a variety and was of the usual standard that you get in this buffet -style situation. We got a good deal. The rooms were cleaned daily and yes, as others have mentioned, the towels are thin, basic ones, so if you want thicker, more luxurious ones then best take your own. The beds are twins pushed together, so if you are a couple, beware of the gap and if you are not then you may want to rearrange the room a little! Sound proofing between the rooms is not great, so it really does depend on your neighbours (again useful if they are likely to be going to be at a reasonable time), as you will hear their tv if it is on loud or if they are on the balcony talking. We stayed in two different rooms, because of the unexpected extra nights, both with sea views. If you want a sea view, try requesting one when you book. First we were on the 5th floor and could see the sea through the gaps in the buildings between the hotel and the sea, then we were on the 9th floor so could see over top of all the other buildings. The higher floor seemed to be quieter-certainly less street noise. Please be aware the the balconies can be a bit off-putting for those scared of heights, as they have a gap at the bottom, so you can see down. Our major grip was that smoking was allowed around the small pool area, despite signs saying that it was a no-smoking area (ash trays were on all the tables outside, so the sign was obviously wrong). We are no-smokers and found that we sometimes could not sit outside because of the smell (it even drifted inside sometimes through doors which had been left open). Would we stay again? - yes, especially at the great price we paid.
As you would expect from this part of the word, Calella basks in a coastal Mediterranean climate, ensuring year-round mild temperatures. Autumn and spring enjoy cooler weather, or come in July and August for summer at its hottest. The weather is perfect for Calella holidays no matter what time of year you visit. East is ideal for golf, summer is excellent for sun tanning while Autumn is an ideal time for an offpeak holiday in Calella. Just don’t forget to slap on that high-factor sunscreen!
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
