We went mid May. The 2bedroom apartments were clean and well enough furnished although the second bedroom didn't have a wardrobe and only had a small one drawer unit. I found the beds to be very comfortable. The livingroom /dining area was plenty big enough to accommodate 6 people with seating but I would think lack of space for clothes would be a problem. We were only a party of 3 so it was OK. Large wall mounted TV with 1 programme in English. (Discovery Channel I think) Kitchen area was fine for 3 people, having 2 halogen rings, a microwave, a toaster and an electric kettle. You would struggle cooking for 6 though. Decent size fridge/freezer too. Bathroom was clean and had a bath with shower taps. Hot water was provided with a large electric boiler. Very hot water but you couldn't have 6 shower in succession. We just about managed 3. The pool is large and the area around it is big with lots of sun-loungers. There is an onsite bar and restaurant which we used twice, both meals good and quick service. Very reasonably priced too. Safety boxes are located in the reception area and cost 22 euros for the week. We were asked for 50 Euros deposit (not each) which we got back without problem. There was a deposit for the TV remote control and the 2 door keys. If you are having your transfers done by From2Travel don't expect any pickup info at reception. They don't provide it and the reception are not interested. If you have a phone with internet you can get your pickup time using free wifi at the Condis Supermarket which is just 300 metres down the road where the football pitch is. (no WiFi in the apartments) Fairly good selection and prices for groceries there. The apartments are very close to the Bus Station and if you are going to Barcelona by train you can catch a bus to the Railway Station from there. Return fare by train to Barcelona was 12.5 Euros. Hope this is of some help to someone. :)

i dont know where to begin so i will start with the positives. the people running the apartments are lovely and really helpful, especially the woman who speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and French. the area is nice and the beach is just a short walk away, probably 5 mins at most. i would advise possibly hiring a car and visiting toassa de mar which is fantastic. the pool area is large and clean, the pool is nice but VERY cold. you have to hire a sunbed for 2 euros each, but you get it for the whole day. the beaches are lovely, but the sand is coarse as they are man made, so again i would hire a sunbed when visiting the beaches. now the negatives. the apartments them selves are very simple and basic, the beds are awful, and the furniture looks like it has been made by hand by wood found in a scrap yard. the t.v is tiny but the channels are on offer are plentiful. on a friday and saturday night the clubs are open and the noise is almost unbearable, the music goes from 11pm until 4am i could not sleep at all during these nights. its very difficult to find reception as it is a building across the road from the actual apartments called blanes.com. we drove around for 45 mins looking for it, until we gave up and asked a man who runs a local bar/restaurant called the shamrock which i would recommend. there is a rather bad smell of weed and stale water flowing throughout the apartment block which was there for the entire week. the apartments are clean and useable. now the bit that really annoyed me a 120 euro deposit OR you give them your credit card details. was rather annoyed with this and there is nothing the apartments to really break or steal. no kettle no oven, just a hob, one roll of toilet paper, no towels, no complimentary tea/coffee area, 4 plates, 4 cups 4 sets of cutlery. really basic. but you get what you pay for.

'On the Beach Holidays' won't even answer our complaint which is-The details for the whole holiday were very misleading and incorrect details were given on how to contact the owners of the apartments. The transfer was to Europa/Lotus apartments and when we arrived (at approx 2am) we went to Europa apartments as this was where we were led to believe that we needed to go and were told that we did not have a reservation in the apartments but we were at Lotus apartments and also Europa had nothing to do with Lotus. The night porter tried to contact the person who dealt with Lotus but they would not come out. After a while Europa agreed to put us up for the night and gave us an apartment. We woke in the morning asking us to come down to the reception asap. We were then told that we would need to meet the person associated with Lotus apartments at their offices and not to wait as the person will not wait for us. We went along to the offices and met with the person, who was not a nice person and very blunt, abrupt and agressive. We were then told, after asking, that we should have phoned them before arriving to arrange the collection of the keys. We were never informed of this. We also had to give 100 euros deposit and pay local tax and aso pay for bedding. Only again after asking were we informed of how we could get the deposit back, again the lady was rude and abrupt. The lady also informed us that the offices were normally closed on a Sunday! We were then told how to get to the apartments. We arrived and opened the door. The apartment was dirty and we took pictures of this. After having an uncomfortable nights slep on the beds we looked under the matresses and the slats were bowing and uneven, the matress was sagging aswell and the beds made an awful noise when we moved in them. We read our transfers voucher and on it it said that we would get our transfer times from the reception of the apartments. As there was not reception we assumed that we would need to enquire at the offices that we had picked the keys up from. When returning to the offices to get our deposit back we were again greeted by the same rude, blunt and agressive lady. We were returned our deposit and then we asked about our transfer, the reply was 'I don't know you ned to find out yourself, phone the number!' Proceeded by no thank yous or even a smile. We then went back to Europa apartments to see if the transfer details had been left there but no they weren't so we then proceeded to an internet cafe and after 3 attempts we managed to find the details. We found all of this disorder and lack of efficency very frustrating and extremely distressing. We missed a days holiday because of all this. We feel that 'On the Beach Holidays' mislead us in several ways which were- apartments were named as Europa/Lotus Apaartments which in fact they were Lotus. We weren't informed that the office for Europa/Lotus apartments needed to be contacted before we arrived and that they were closed on Sundays. The transfer document that the driver for the transfer had was for Europa/Lotus apartments. The lady at the offices where we eventually picked our keys up was very rude and definitely not a good introduction to Blanes. The apartment was very dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. The transfer instructions were not clear at all and we were led to believe that the details of the return transfer would be available at reception

these apartments are set over many different blocks so the you might not get the ones in the picture!!! our block had a mixture of holiday makers and residential although i think we were the only holiday makers there!! the pool had no sun loungers? it was over run with local children running around, screaming until early hours (1 - 2 AM!!) there is no kettle in the room despite being self catering and they do not supply or rent them out. 10 minute walk from the beach which does drop dramatically into the sea, so not ideal for young families!! you go from ankle high to waist high in one step!!!! the lotus apartments charge a deposit of 50 euros per person for breakages and 20 euros for bedding which they give to you in a blue rubbish bag and point you on your way to the apartment! you also have to ensure the apartment is thoroughly clean before you leave or they charge a fee off your deposit!!! on a brighter note the apartments are big and spacious with lovely balconies, you also get a washing machine!!!!
One thing's for sure; you don’t get cold on Costa Brava holidays. The region’s Mediterranean climate guarantees long hot summers, with average temperatures often reaching 30° Celsius in the summer, and frequently giving 12 hours of sunshine a day. But the hottest months of July and August are often tempered by coastal winds that are a welcome cooling factor if you are trying to work on your tan.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
