Stayed here with my husband and three daughters, location is excellent near to the beach and close to good bars, hotel is immaculately clean the maids work so hard. Food was excellent but did get quite samey, drinks prices reasonable again staff work really hard but I think the majority of them could do with being a bit more smiley except Fransisco, Juanjo and the lovely man with grey hair and glasses who put in 110% but still managed a chat and a few laughs. Spa is amazing definitely worth a visit and a fab price 10€ me and the girls loved it. Rooms are a bit dated and quite small but spotless. Sunbed situation is ridiculous !!! pool area is nowhere near big enough for the size of hotel and made worse by selfish people my 14 year old daughter was pushed over by a 20+ stone man desperate to get near the pool it is an accident waiting to happen and someone will be hurt before long Thomson rep was not interested as it was 'a delicate matter' and she didn't see it herself even tho there was other witnesses who were pushed themselves. Overall we had an amazing holiday would I stay at ambassador again ? Probably not

Ambassador 1 Went for four nights in July. Five minutes’ walk to the beach. Just at the start of the main strip The rooms are basic but cleaned every day. The air conditioning units are very noisy, Food was good Pool area too small and not enough room for sunbeds.to cater for the two hotels Sunbed towel run in the morning is the funniest I have ever seen. Don't ask for quiet room as there aren't really any, but Very clean hotel with friendly staff throughout,. The noise from the pub and street outside the hotel was bad on the Friday and Saturday nights it went on till 5am but it’s a price you pay for been right in centre

Have stayed at this Hotel for the last four years in August with the family and have seen it change year on year for the worse. The refurbished receptions and the Explorers bar are possitives, unfortunately the food now being served up in the resteraunt is not. There used to be themed nights and the variation of what was on offer was greater and of better quality than the fare we offered this time round, in short it was more canteen food than befitting a resteraunt, especially for the price we paid. Chicken curry most nights and some sort of apple crumble. Also sad to see stag and hen parties allowed at a family hotel where children are running around the pool area, you can imagine some of the behavoir and language some of them were using, girls drinking alcohol in the swimming pool etc. the choice of pool side music also wth swear words was not appropiatte. On the upside the rooms are basic and cleaned every day although the air conditioning units are very noisy, and observing the mass sprint for sun beds every morning at 0830 brings no ends of merryment . As frequent independant travelers to Benidorm unfortunately we will be looking for better value for money for future visits.

I stayed here with my family of 4 at the beginning of august and were very happy with out choice. The rooms are basic but immaculately clean, we had 2 rooms next to each other with a pool view which over looked the main stage which was great when the night time entertainment was on. The air conditioning unit was a bit noisy but that drowned out the noise of the drunks on a night time. The food was brilliant, a different option every day plus there was a good selection for the kids as well. The entertainment for the kids was good with daily activities and the pool area was clean, however not enough sunbeds for all the guests. People were queuing from 7:45 am till the pool area was open at 08:30 just to reserve sunbeds. When the doors opened at the pool area it was like everyone had turned possessed and were running out the door to get a bed. People were getting knocked over and a few arguments broke out over who had the sun beds first, fairly ridiculous. The hotel is right in the centre of Benidorm and only a few minutes walk from the beach. This is one of the main reasons I booked this hotel, so that the kids didn't have to walk far to the beach and other points of interest. I plan on returning to Benidorm next year and will definitely be booking into this hotel again. I must say that the Thomson's reps were first class. They were there daily often twice a day and were always their to greet you with a warm smile. They were extremely helpful and were able to offer fantastic advice on excursions as well as other points of interest in Benidorm. This is the first time I booked with Thomson's and I will most certainly be booking with them again. Fantastic customer service from the very start to the end of our holiday.
