Going all inclusive was a decision we regret not because of the food at the hotel but because the bars and restaurants in Praia da Rocha were cheap and the food was lovely. The food at the hotel wasn't to everyone's liking and there wasn't much variety, with their only being two choices of main meals at dinner and lunch. the food is edible despite what others say. a holiday is what you make of it at the end of the day. the staff were friendly and cheerful, not so much on reception but we didn't have much to do with them so for us, no bother. you do have to pay for the sunbeds but at a euro each sunbed, you can't complain; saves others stealing all of them and not using them. our apartment was much bigger than we accepted with their being a kitchen/dining/living room in a separate room to the bedroom. the beach and main strip are a short walk up bank away, but far enough away that the hotel was quiet. you do have to be careful on the strip as we were asked every time we walked along the strip to buy drugs, but they don't pressurize you so just ignore them. but by the end of the week it got irritating, so just a heads up. excursions to the water-parks and sand city were easy to get to as the transfer picked you up on the road outside of the hotel. all in all we had a great holiday, perfect place to go for couples and families. we would go again but self-catered next time.

Food is awful, the dinning room is not big enough to accommodate everyone, resulting in people with young families queuing for food in baking heat, there is another restuarant but it doesn't get used, rooms are very basic and dated, you have to play hunt the maid for clean towels and bedding, entertainment is a joke.drink is an even bigger joke,no spirits till 8pm.the hotel has been replying to comments on trip advisor for years but nothing has been done.

Loacation good, Beach beautiful, Hotel needs work and the man on reception to take the chip off his shoulder. We have just stayed her for 8 nights and are more than ready to come home. The towels are begging to be washed and our feet are black from the floor. The food is turkey, fish and plain pasta, tinned fruit and sponge. We asked the reception if there was a poster to let us know what time we are being collected and we were actually charged 1.5 euros for him to look for us? Come on?? Pay for beds, parasol, wifi´, no spirits until 8pm, and if you want a dash of lime cordial then thats 0.5 euros! Eh?!
The Algarve has an average of 17 days of rainfall a year meaning you’re unlikely to have your Praia da Rocha holidays spoilt by showers. The sun shines all summer long and during the winter months it’s warm and dry.
The fantastic weather allows you to enjoy your days lounging by the pool, relaxing on the beach or polishing up your golf technique no matter what time of year you choose to come on holidays to Praia da Rocha. It's little wonder so many people choose to buy a holiday home here!
