If you want a cheap and cheerful holiday then this is the place to go. The hotel is dated and needs a good refurb but apart from that it really is ok. The rooms are very large and spacious, the only problem we had is the bathroom could do with a good clean and new pillows on the bed but apart from that there was no other faults. The food was alright and as you get what you pay for what do you expect. We ate out a few times but it really was alright. The snack bar does nice burgers and chips. If you are a fussy eater you have had it. Entertainment wise it was also alright and the drink is dead on, Grear beer. The staff are very helpful given that they never stop and we asked for a low floor and were given it which i found to be very helpful. Overall we had a right good laugh and I would return to this hotel as it isnt as bad as people say. The beaches here are amazing.

Have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay and had a great time. The room we had was big and spacious, cleaned properly, with clean towels and numerous bed changes. The food was repetitive but edible and we didn't hear of anyone starving to death or ending up with food poisoning !! The drinks were sufficient even though the spirits weren't available until after 8 o clock which is just as well considering the state of some of the guests and their greed for alcohol. The pool and the surrounding area was spotless and although th sun beds are 1 euro for every day you want one they were the most comfortable beds we have ever been on (it cost 10 euros on the beach for 2 of the same beds). Daniel and the girls did a good job with the entertainment - We've stayed in much more expensive hotels than this and there has been no entertainment, so in terms of value for money, this was great. We were realistic in our expectations, knew that we were not going to a 5 star hotel, met some lovely people and, unfortunately, some not so lovely ones and made the most of 2 weeks of mostly lovely weather. We did not come across one child who was not having a great time and we would definitely go back. We would like to thank all of the staff who work so hard for making our stay so enjoyable.

We arrived at this hotel to find staff members on strike and chained to the front. The food was cold and awful, 2 choices every day along with dry pasta, rice, chips and salad, 1 cake and tinned fruit, after 2 days this repetition was enough we decided to eat out for the entire remaining 10 days ( Cheap local restaurants are plentiful - 3 courses 8.60 euros) Breakfast consisted of watery beans, hot dogs, cheese, ham, cereal and bread. The toast machine didnt appear until half way through the holiday, and then there was no butter!! I feel sorry for any people who are vegetarian. We complained to the "restaurant manager" who just shrugged his shoulders. You could not drink spirits until 8pm (Never known this on a all inclusive holiday) - so if you do not like beer or wine there is a local spar shop nearby. The sunloungers are 1 euro a day each again never heard of this before. There was a fight in the restaurant one night, lovely! There is no ice cream availiable for the little ones, you have to pay. Also there is no enetertainment. Our flight was cancelled due to the french air traffic control strike, so we had to endure another night of hell. the last day when we checked out and paid for the extra night room, we were told the hotel does not accept visa!! Visa is accepeted worldwide except in Hotel clube praia de rocha. This hotel is awful and yes you get what you pay for but ive had stayed in lots of last minute cheap break hotels and never experienced a nightmare like this. We were lucky to pay for a flight and got home, some people could not get flights until 4/5 days later unluckily for them. Ive heard that the hotel was in financial difficulties and now bankrupt, if this was the case they should close, cancelled bookings and move people to another hotel instead of making an already bad situation worse.
The Algarve has an average of 17 days of rainfall a year meaning you’re unlikely to have your Praia da Rocha holidays spoilt by showers. The sun shines all summer long and during the winter months it’s warm and dry.
The fantastic weather allows you to enjoy your days lounging by the pool, relaxing on the beach or polishing up your golf technique no matter what time of year you choose to come on holidays to Praia da Rocha. It's little wonder so many people choose to buy a holiday home here!
