Last year I stayed at this hotel with some friends, and we booked our package with lowcostholidays. Firstly, our flight was delayed by 3 days and the hotel was extremely accommodating and they changed our reservation straight away so that we could stay an extra night. The rooms were clean and spacious and were furnished to a good standard. the pool was nice and the poolside was never overcrowded, and wifi stretched from reception to the first floor. The hotel is in a perfect location, with a bus stop right outside, a 5 minute walk to the beach and 3 minute walk to the strip. The hotel was located such that it was not affected by noise nearby. The staff were always on hand to help and were very friendly and spoke good English. The only downside was the food, it wasn't that great, but it was cheap and unlimited.

The location is great, near shops and restaurants and walking distance to the pubs and beach. lovely staff and the entertainment was good, daytime activities on offer during the day, which my two boys loved. Food is a little repetitive and a lot of German choices of food was on offer, lack of English choice.

We stayed here for 7 nights during our main holiday in albufeira and to be honest it met our expectations. We had a great time in the hotel and at the beaches. Overall good for a weeks stay. Hotel: The hotel is small but that gives it it's charm, it's no massive resort. The interior looks nice but some things are in need of maintenance, chairs, tabels in the eating area could use some patching up. It's a shame that both the internal waterfall and the waterfall in the swimming area isn't working anymore. Overall it looks good, but simple. Price: Price we paid for the nights was really good and it never felt as too much for the large room and the all inclusive dining. Good value for your money Room: The room is spacious and has 2 small tv's. The kitchen was food since you don't have to use it. The beds however were too hard and not that comfortable. Also some minor maintenance things in the room, but nothing making a fuss about. We did like the superp view to the sea! bathroom: The bathroom is standard but big enough. The shower had good power. Services: The staff is really great for children (Thanks Pedro R. !!) and they are hard working and helping you as fast as they can. Hard working people who always help with a smile. They also have some entertainment stuff every night (which might be a but noisy!) The pool is good enough but really lacks anything for children Food: The breakfast, lunch and diner are all buffet and it gives a mixed feeling, some days the food was really good, but other days everything tasted just blank. Overall we where pleased but it could be better. Next to this we did find it strange that we could only get drinks outside of the eating times. During lunch there where some cookies but nothing extra like fruit etc. This could be better to be honest. In the evening i would expect some nuts, or chips but nothing of that sort could be found so we bought it ourselves. Not bad, we expected more. neighborhood: very close to some beautiful beaches and close to the strip of albufeira, the centre of town is a 1 hour walk which is acceptable. It's great to see the beach from your hotel room. Overall: We would really recommend this if you want a nice hotel in town with mostly dutch people in it. The staff is great and the rooms are spacious and nice. Some things could be better, but overall we had a great holiday looking at the entire stay.

My wife and I stayed here for three weeks in March 2015. It's a comfortable apartment hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. We rented a car, and found the hotel's location ideally suited to exploring the Algarve. Even Spain is less than 2 hours away on the expressway. There are lots of wonderful restaurants within walking distance, as are the shopping and nightclubs of the "Strip". There is a beach not too far away, but it requires negotiating a fairly steep hill. Not for the weak of limb or lung. You pretty well need a car to get to the many gorgeous scenic areas of the Algarve, and I would recommend buying a European map for your GPS and taking it with you. It can cost up to 5 euro a day to rent one with your car. You can purchase wifi in your room for 20 euros per week, or you can use the free wifi in the comfortable spacious lobby/courtyard/atrium. There is a grocery store a 5 minute walk away that also has a good selection of wine, beer and liquor. You may have to ask at reception for an ice cube tray for your fridge, and you will have to buy or bring your own shampoo, salt, pepper, and soap. Oh, and a dishcloth LOL. This is true of most of the apartment hotels in the area not just the Luna. All in all a great holiday and I woud go back to the Luna again.
