We stayed here in late August 2014 and had a great time. We paid extra at booking through Jet2 for a sea view, and although we could see the sea it's obviously fairly far away over some rooftops. However we had a more interesting outlook than some of the apartments and definitely worth it. First the bad: Not much to report, like a lot of hotels Albufeira it was built 15-20 years ago I reckon and is due for renovation, but it isn't in a terrible state, just about time it was modernised. You have to pay a significant amount to hire the use of the safe, I can't recall how much it was but it was enough for me to not take it. Also the balcony doors didn't lock, not a problem unless you're defending against Spiderman I guess. Free (slow) wifi in reception and chargeable for the rooms, I think it was about 20Euro for a week's access, not cheap. I'm a digital junkie so it bothered me. The good: Very friendly staff who would go above and beyond to help. We wanted a taxi to go to a neighbouring town to visit friends and the receptionist called their transfer company and arranged a very cheap journey for us. The taxi lady was also excellent and very chatty, she was happy to come back for us the next day. Everybody spoke excellent English and put us dumb British to shame with their language skills. Everything you need is right next to this hotel, a large supermarket just round the corner, cafes, bars, snacks and restaurants are just a stones throw. The strip is close enough to get to easily but not so close that you'd be bothered by noise. Locally I recommend the Neto cafe, Sol Off Licence for some very cheap bottles of spirits, Lara's Plaice and Eddy's Bar are next door to each other and are both friendly and excellent for breakfasts and lunch. 10 minutes walk to the beach from here where you'll find Ski Molhado Desportos just along the beach who do Jet Boat, Paragliding etc, highly recommended. It's quite far to the old town, we walked it 3 or 4 times over 2 weeks and got a taxi back a couple of times (pissed) so it's not next door but still accessible. Sunbeds were always available and the pool area was well kept, the pool itself was saltwater and "cool" initially but fine once you were in and swimming. Room was cleaned every day, clean towels if you put your dirty ones in the bath and the bedding was changed at least once maybe twice, no complaints in that dept. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

I stayed at this hotel which wasn't the one we had originally booked. The travel company had made a mistake and we then advised we wanted to pick where we stayed withint he same criteria as the oringally booked. We were almost glad a mistake was made. We had a corner room on the front of the hotel facing the beach. The view was fantastic and the room and 2 balconies so we felt spoilt. The rooms are divided into a bed area and living area with some shutters and a door dividing so it could feel as open or as closed as you liked. The kitchen although small had everything we needed. We like to eat breakfast and either lunch or dinner in the hotel so it was great for that with a local supermarket within walking distance. The foyer of the hotel is very pretty and relaxing to sit and enjoy...which is lucky because there is no wifi anywhere but this main foyer. I like to check where we can go online and maps etc before going out and we had to sit in the foyer to do this...the wifi was there was intermittant and often not working. This was the only real reason i scored the hotel a 4 and not 5 as for the price and rating its great value and has everything you need. Its very close to the strip and beach so easy to get about too. The pool area was great with plenty of sunbeds...we didn't need to get up at the crack of dawn to get a place by the pool but then that could have been the season we travelled.

The BFM and about 20 friends and family went to albufeira in May last for a few days. I stayed two nights, the rest did three. We stayed at the Luna Forte Da Oura Hotel. Praia Da Oura Apt 2241 Albufeira 8200 917 Portugal +351289510200 It was clean and suited us down to the ground as all we needed was somewhere where we could put our heads down and have a few hours rest. It had a swimming pool and was near the beach. The rooms were clean and everything was in perfect working order. I shared a room with three other lads as technically it was a family room, so 2 slept on bed, the other two had a sofa bed in the small sectioned off living area cum kitchenette along with the basic kitchen utensils. It's ideal for a family with kids or a bunch of guys/gals. The staff were exceptional and were always on hand to help out especially the night manager. He was extremely clever and knew his local geography. All in all very good VFM. Check it out when in Albufeira Portugal!! Ciao for now

Absolutely nothing to complaint about. The hotel was large, clean and well equipped room. The staff are friendly and the hotel is kept spotlessly, the maids do give a good clean everyday. Great location, 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes to the strip, 30 minutes walk to the Old Town.A quick note to say that Yellow fish taxis was amazing, they did our holiday start easy and smooth, WIFI on board is a bonus.Recommended.
