Just arrived home from 3rd holiday to Zante and we weren't disappointed. Basic but clean accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful, Juliano and Thomas were excellent barmen. Dimitri and his family were good hosts. Tsilivi is a nice town and the restaurants we tried were very good especially The Brothers.

Me and my boyfriend got a late deal on this. We thought we was in for a bargain but when we got there we knew why it was so cheap. I have stayed in Tsillivi 9 years in a row and each year has been a different hotel. I know the hotels in Greece are very basic but this has to be the worst one by far. The rooms are very, very old and run down, not the cleanest and have a strange smell. The beds are old, uncomfortable and awfully low down. The sheets are old, bobbly, and off white which isn't nice to look at. The rooms are very dull. We were only given 1 pillow per bed, which were hard anyway. The towels were also old, off white and hard. We stayed there for a week and bedding and towels were only changed once which I think is digusting. The room is like living in a sauna, you have to pay to hire a fan which I think it's disgraceful as there is no option for air con. If there was an option for air con then I think having to hire a fan would be okay but that's not the case. I know all hotels are very basic but the bathroom was horrible. The whole room was quite dirty but the bathroom specifically, dirty marks in the shower, toothpaste residue all over the sink and taps. With the toilet paper situation in Greece you have to put the tissue in a bin, and you would expect to have an actual bag in the bin but no! We had to ask for toilet paper on several occasions as non was left for us. Also, there is no shower curtain which gets the bathroom absolutely soaked. One more thing with the room as well, with it being a 'self catering' hotel you would expect self catering facilities without having to hire them. No kettle in the room, you have to pay €10 for a week. Just another way to make money in my opinion. If you are near the front of the hotel it is awfully noisy and you will struggle to get a decant nights sleep. Not one night did me or my boyfriend sleep all the way through, you had people banging doors, disturbing behaviour and noise from the bar. It also states that there is wifi in the hotel. But this is pretty much non existent. This was a late deal and a cheap deal. I won't be returning to this hotel and just want to warn people before they book their cheap holiday.

When we arrived the staff weren't very helpful. One gentleman helped us to our room it was boiling no air in the room at all. There wasn't the option for air conditioning but had the cheek to charge for fans so was either that or we went without. The fans were €20 for one week and to be honest didn't make much of a difference it was just blowing warm air around the room and didn't even turn. The shower room wasn't the best was just a little square block on the floor which was very temperamental. It didn't even come with a shower curtain or a hook to put the shower head on so had to hold it. There was one woman there who was very helpful but the older woman was very rude and didn't even understand the simple English of I am checking out. Personally I won't be visiting this hotel again but we got a very cheap deal so no surprise we got a cheap hotel. Tsilivi itself was really good for my first visit lots of nice places to eat especially Giorgios and obelix the staff at obelix George and Nikos couldn't do enough for you they were fantastic. For restaurants not to go to are sweet revenge there was a new tapas that wasn't the best and Dionysius taverna but each to their own.

excellent place to stay, clean friendly, all you could expect from apartments in Tsilivi. the staff are keen to help always smiling responsive to requests the apartments are basic granted but what do you expect in Tsilivi, no Ritzs on this island. all round highly recommended, be back there tomorrow if I could. sport fishing IS available from Zante town, don't believe anyone who says otherwise. Balcony restaurant and Serakina restaurant in the hills HIGHLY reccommended
