Just returned home this morning from our second holiday at the Filoxenia, and I must say that it is without doubt in our opinion one of the best hotels to stay in. The owners Nikos and Eva go far beyond their call of duty and NOTHING is too much trouble . They are 2 of the nicest , genuine and hardworking people you are ever likely to meet. Along with their brilliant staff the hotel is run like clockwork. If you are wanting a relaxing chilled holiday then this is definitely the hotel to be. Added bonus this year every sunbed now has a cushion. The food is delicious and majority is homemade. My Hubby and I were talking to Eva about not seeing our favorite Greek dish Lamb Kleftiko anywhere in Tholos. 2 days later it is on the menu . Just a typical example of how brilliant the owners are. Cannot praise this hotel enough. Can't wait to go again. There is free wifi in the bar/restaurant area. A tip for the ladies if you do book this hotel take a hairdryer as the rooms don't have them. But even if you forget Eva will let you use hers!!!!

Very friendly owners and right next to bus stop that gets you straight to the airport and the old town. The food is delicious and even though we rolled in late Nikos made sure we had something to eat.

Our second visit and it was just as lovely as we remembered. Such a warm welcome! The food is delicious, Stifado and Gemista were our favourites and the baklava is very good too. Nikos makes a great mojito - its a must ! We were delighted to find that there was a new addition to the filoxenia - sunbed cushions!!!!!Woooohooooo! Lazing by the pool in comfort !! Great addition . Great people, spotlessly clean, great aircon, clean pools and plenty of loungers....food and drink best in the area and reasonably priced. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It's with a heavy heart I'm writing this review ~ not because I have anything negative to say, far from it, but because it means its time for us to go home :-( My husband and i were lucky enough to stay here for a whole month and we fell head over heels in love with the beautiful hotel AND the beautiful owners Nikos & Eva. This hotel isn't rated #1 hotel in Tholos by TripAdvisor for no reason ~ it's rated #1 because it simply is the best! The owners bend over backwards to make you feel welcome & to make your stay comfortable, & the rooms are thoroughly cleaned to a high standard every day. It has 2 large swimming pools and a baby pool that are all kept in pristine condition, as are the gardens to the hotel. The sun beds are plentiful and ALL have a padded cover which makes sunbathing a pleasure! The food is home cooked, tasty, and very good value! We personally hired a car as we like to get out and about and Tholos is a little quiet, but I believe taxis are reasonable, and also there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which will take you in to Faliraki, Lindos, Rhodes town etc. We have been to Tholos several times, & to Rhodes many times, & I am very happy to say that this hotel is the best we've stayed in. Only 365 sleeps until we return & I can't wait :-) xx
