It's annoying to see the negative comments about this hotel - it seems people expect 5* accommodation for 1* prices! We chose this hotel for a family holiday in October 2013 based on the facilities (waterpark and swimming pools mainly) and the price was very cheap compared to other hotels in the area. We were not expecting much based on what we paid and the reviews we had seen but upon arrival we were very pleased. The hotel is in a great location for the beach and around a 15 minute walk to the nearest town (Ialyssos) for main facilities such as cash machine, shops, restaurants etc. although there is a shop just up the road which sells most things. We went all inclusive as the price wasn't much different and the food was as we expected, the usual all inclusive buffet but with a good choice and not too much repetitiveness over the 2 weeks we were there. What made the holiday were the extremely hard working and friendly entertainment staff and bar staff, particularly in the international bar where we enjoyed many cocktails from Katerina & Michael (extra cost but worth it!) Even in the low season you could see that the entertainment guys were giving it their all and put on some great shows and daytime activities. The room was spacious with a separate area for our son to sleep and had everything we needed.everything was very clean and as we would expect for a 3* hotel. All in all we had a fantastic holiday because we made the most of what was on offer and didn't have high expectations but were pleasantly surprised. The weather was also great for the whole stay (2nd - 16th October), there was a bit of competition for sunbeds around the pool which I can imagine would be a lot worse in the peak season but we didn't have a problem. The holiday will be what you make it so please stop complaining about food etc when everyone knows what to expect from a 3/4* hotel in these areas. It is on the flight path and the planes do fly pretty low over the hotel but you get used to it after a while and it became a bit of a game with our son to guess which airline/country it was - you can't complain about something you have already been warned about! The plus side is that it is a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport and much cheaper to get a local taxi than book transfers.

Stayed at blue bay from 18th till 25th oct, Hotel in general was clean and maids done great job of cleaning room everyday,Pools were clean and hotel is backing onto beach,There is a small arcade in hotel which was a blessing for kids, View from our room was stunning looking out over another island and what i believe was turkey beyond that, Food was not great although we managed to find something to eat everyday, Water park over the road was ok although a little neglected and small, I found the hotel a little remote with only a couple of bars and eating places outside also found it a bit pricey compared to spain, Rhodes was ok we booked a boat trip to lindos which was cancelled last minute (be aware!) lucky we had a back up plan and went to waterpark in faliraki which was good,This hotel is ok for the money that you pay and the kids had a good time and made some friends, Dont know if we would go back as think majorca is better value for money with more for the kids to do and only a 2hour flight, Saying that we had a good time and a holiday is what you make it so dont let other people put you off.

Were do you start the hotel staff were rude went all inclusive but the only bar inside hotel you had to pay if u wanted a drink u had to walk right past pool to bar in corner not good for children on a night when floor was wet. The food was disgusting not fit for human consumption most of it it was cold, bland and no variation I wouls advise anyone thinking of going here to think again. The thing thst stands out the most was one night in hotel i stood on something what i thought was food to find it to be dog poo although this probably would have tasted better than the food on offer. The resort of lalissou is beautiful and rhodes town was amazing just dont stay at THIS HOTEL you will regret it

Hotel was clean and tidy but staff very unhelpful and rude......Pool was freezing cold for children! We even seen purple lips on some children. Food variety was poor and not enough variety for children.. Alcohol was served to children under age. Very disappointed in this holiday and would not return again. It was for only the nice people that we shared our holiday with that made it for us.
