We have recently returned from somewhat a disappointment of a holiday, we travelled with on the beach and booked last October. Was happy to be going all inclusive but when arriving was anything but. Have to pay for sunbeds on beach, wifi, drinks are not served times stated on website and snacks are awful, we ended up spending a lot of money on top for things like bottles of water and crisp as kids were wanting snacks , no drinks supplied at all after 11pm unless u pay for them. Staff at reception are rude and management are just the same. Towels were always stained,. Now for the food the food was ok but got bored very quickly as was always same. Also was unbearable sitting in the restaurant as no air conditioning was used in. Drinks in restaurant were always warm and had no fizz that was throughout whole hotel. Alcohol was very cheap and unbearable to drink . This holiday has totally put us off going all inclusive again. Family of 6 with 4 children avoid as you will be left feeling you wasted a lot of money. I must mention one of the good things was Hannah at kids club works very hard and was a pleasure to meet.

We went to rhodes July 13th - paid a lot of money for a week at blue bay with my wife, get there to be told that ' they've over booked ' and got dumped in to sunland hotel next to the water park - this hotel is a 2 star at most!!!!! Was shocking didn't even have a resturant - had a rubbish pool bar that had 4 types of booze - wine the ants in - the snack bar was old stale cheese rolls and dry cake cats had been all over - staff at blue bay where disgustingly rude - the meal times we're a joke, if your not eastern european don't go - the pushing and shuving is a joke - the food was dreadful same crap different day - they cater for a Eastern European completely - sadly we even saw a run over kitten on the wY to lunch one day and asked reception to move it as it was covered in blood and the children from sunland had been feeding it - there response was it isn't out issue, we had no clean towels or bedding had to ask on day four to have it replaced / there we're a few decent staff who we're happy to help - entertainment we're rude - paid €40 for wifi that worked about 3 hours of the whole stay - all in all very disapointed with our visit and experience - rhodes it's self is a beautiful place and Pegasus and ideal bar we're amazing!!! When you pay all inclusive you don't expect to have to walk to another hotel to use the resturant beach and snack bars JOKE!!!!! Don't waste your time or money in this dump full of rude staff!!!!!

Read this before you book!!!!!!!!! My wife an I booked a family holiday for the Blue Bay Deluxe hotel , we paid £2100 for a 4 star hotel for 7 days. We arrived late at night on the 15 July 2015 an was told to follow some guy we was taken out of the hotel grounds in the dark to a hotel called the sunland hotel. We knew this was wrong an the room they put us in was clean an plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but was definitely no were near a 3 star hotel. When we asked the question we were told by hotel staff that the sunland was part of the blue bay group but not the blue bay hotel !!!! We found out that the cost of the Sunland hotel for 7 days was £1000 for four an for two weeks around £1800 all in . Angry at this I went to complain at the blue bay deluxe reception an our travel company "you travel" they were not interested and tried to offer car hire an orange wrist bands!!!! We refused as we did not pay for a 2/3 star hotel we had no form of apology from the hotel or "youtravel" but the biggest problem was that a lot of Brits who booked online mainly with on the beach were in the same boat!!! The food was disgusting we didn't eat for 3 days proper, the all in drinks were dreadful the beer was week an the wine had insects in or so I was told!!! If I pay for all inclusive I expect all inclusive!!!!! We had to fight for an upgrade which we were moved to the miraluna resort 65km away a four star hotel. Please be very careful if you book hear they will take your money an not give you any explanation of you are moved or any apology my advice seriously do not book with the blue bay deluxe hotel absolutely disgusting all round !!!!!!!

We stayed at the Blue Bay at the beginning of June 2015 and stayed in a Bungalow with private pool overlooking the sea, this was perfect, the view was wonderful, it was lovely and peaceful and right next to the beach bar and one of the restaurants, the room was cleaned 6 days a week as was the pool, the whole surrounding area of the complex was kept clean and tidy. We were in a row of 6 bungalows, all occupied by couples of different nationalities. It was very relaxing. The main hotel did not look so peaceful or relaxing and I would definitely recommend the bungalows. The food was quite nice for all inclusive buffet, very repetitive, but what you expect from all inclusive, not quite sure I would call it 4* though. They done a lovely stir fry every evening which was always freshly cooked. I would also say as we got into the second week and the hotel got busier the choice of food got more varied, so you are probably better going in peak season. The pool man, bar staff and the cleaners were friendly and sociable, but the reception staff were hard work and unapproachable. There seemed to be a problem with towels, they did not like to change the everyday in your room, but they were not of good quality and quite small so got quite wet when used and needed to be changed. I went to reception and I asked for clean ones when the cleaner did not leave them on a couple of occasions. The biggest issue was the soft drinks and alcohol, they were all cheap brands and tasted awful, the choice was beer, ouzo, vodka, red and white wine and gin and they were not drinkable, we resulted to buying bottles of spirits in the local supermarket and coke and drinking our own!! We would visit this hotel again, but we would not go all inclusive, on bed and breakfast. Rhodes is a lovely island and well worth a visit.
