Just come from here and I have to say the the food on site was nasty and the alcohol watered down the actual hotel is nice. The hotel is on the route of planes landing I counted 6 in a hr and its isolated nothing to do. The only thing that was good was that we met some good people which helped us get through the week will not be going bk

I have always been honest with my reviews and they are usually very positive as I like to think I choose well. Unfortunately from arrival to departure this was not a 'deluxe' holiday. The hotel had been overbooked so we were transferred to a 2* - considering we'd booked 4* not a good start. However the following day the manager did move us to a 3* but we had to walk to the blue bay for all meals and drinks and were not entitled to any all inclusive at the 3*. This aside, the review is about the blue bay...food...I eat almost anything, but I'm not a huge lover of cheap cuts of meat. Chicken legs, thighs etc, fatty pork cuts - always pasta and tomato sauce. Looking for a positive, their tatziki was good, even the salad was poor - had to ask for onions and tomatoes. The dining area was far to small for the hotel, the ques to get in were silly and not acceptable, also no air con. The staff however worked tirelessly and were a credit to the hotel. The entertainment - well, for the money I'm guessing they were paid, perhaps it was acceptable. No acts were brought in and it was mainly audience participation, only 5 nights a week, 2 days off. One all inclusive drinks bar only and that was at the bottom of the hotel, constantly running out of glasses and when seen to be washed, literally rinsed in water...my son and mum both caught coldsores, perhaps coincidence, who knows. The hotel itself has a lovely foyer and rooms above the first floor are of good size and decor (met friends who showed us their rooms). This hotel has so much more potential...food needs an massive upgrade, another bar needs opening to get drinks and they need more entertainment. The staff however genuinely work tiresomely under such pressures. I'd have given a two, but staff and rooms raised this to a three.

I think it is what you make of it. Some people have clearly just had a bad experience, as we had a wonderful 10 day stay here. We went 14th of June until the 24th, which was a great time to go I think. The resort wasn't too busy and we only had to queue for food on the last day. There are 5 different pools dotted around the resort which was great for us as the kids never got bored and in the evening the entertainment was good fun. I am a vegetarian and found something to eat everyday at every meal, my partner who is a meat eater was also always satisfied. The food isn't amazing but it's acceptable for what you pay. I wouldn't be too put off by the bad reviews, if you go there thinking you are going to have a bad experience then you will. I mean its not 5* luxury but it doesn't claim to be. Also the water park is such a perk my two children absolutely loved that!

After reading all the reviews I wasn't looking forward to coming here , but after finally getting here I can honestly say I don't no why people are complaining , food is good , drinks are cold , hotel nice and clean , pool good and clean , water park is excellent and allowed in there everyday except Wednesday ,to be honest it's pretty much no different to any other all inclusive I've stayed in , Only thing I have to complain about is the snacks between meals which are poor , but there's icecream on tap for the kids which is good ! We payed about 2600 including flights for a family of 5 in august so I wasn't expecting much more if I'm honest , If your wanting mojitos served to you by the pool and food cooked by 5*Michelin chefs then get your hand in your pocket and get yourself to Dubai , if your wanting a cheap all inclusive with decent food and a great water park which the kids will love then look no further and don't be afraid to book here
