Stayed for a week with a friend in September. First room that was allocated to us was extremely poor with a shocking view. For 70 euros you can upgrade to a sea view room which isn't bad when you break it down it's an extra 10 euros a night. The sea view from the balcony is enough to forgive all the other faults the room has such as only one power outlet in the whole room, dark lighting and a oddly awkward bathtub that was so small with a step u either risked your life standing on upper half of tub trying not to slip or just showered sitting down somehow. Other than that the cleanliness cannot be faulted and it's all you want really. The food is a bit samey and repetitive, but edible and some quite nice. Coffee machine is shockingly slow probably about 1 drip per minute. Most excursions only cater to Russian tourists and you will struggle to find other british here. The swimming pool is very small but does not matter as the beach is absolutely amazing. Clear soft water clean sand and such a nice beach to relax on. You can be served drinks on the beach but don't count on it if it's a female waitress working that day. When the man is working you will be served asap. The female staff cannot be seen anywhere apart from reception. If it wasn't for the beach I would've rated this hotel lower. My suggestions would be to invest in more comfortable beds, less hard springy mattresses, have more staff on the beach, more power outlets in the rooms not just one by the front door asking to be broken. Brighter and flatter bathtubs. The area is nice most shops are the same souvenir stuff but pleasant to walk around. Some great restaurants around as well. If you are on a budget and just looking for sun sea and sand this is the place to go. If you are after luxury then avoid. Also a good idea to hire a car if visiting this hotel!

We have spend a weekend, off season, at Ammon Zeus hotel. Honestly, I'm happy that we had book only for 2 nights. Hotel is outdated, staff need training or maybe they need to change profession. We are in Greece several times a year, and such a bad food and perfomance on such a great location is very disappointing. Greece is not just great nature, it also represent great and friendly people, great food for decent prices. This hotel is totally opposite to what we are used to. Low quality food, bad service, expensive bar (beer 4,5€) and payable low speed and unreliable internet connection. Oh..Almost forget. If you buy drink (not water!) at hotel bar, you get 30' free internet coupon!!!! Thats an insult. Rooms are small, bathroom is a joke. Its my first hotel bathroom in years looking like that!! Bath is for washing puppies ( which are not allowed in hotel btw). Despite that they are trying to renovate some hotel its looks very poor. Well, I must say one positive. The hotel is on great beach location, and walking distance to city is quite close, but its uphill. Still better to drive if you arrive with car. you must be very desperate to spend 2 weeks there and make a positive review on this hotel.

Just returned from our 2 week holiday staying at the ammon zeus, very relaxing holiday, the beach is lovely, we had a wonderful sea view, the food was very nice, could always find something to eat, all of the staff are very friendly and willing to help, the hotel is very clean, beds and towels where changed every day!!!!air con and fridge in room where free!! you do pay for sunbeds on the beach it was 5 euro for 2 beds and a brolly, i thought this was ok as we have paid a lot more elsewear. The drinks are really expensive, but greece is expensive at the moment. There was no real entertainment at the hotel but it is right at the end of their season so maybe this is why. It is very hilly so not easy to get into town on foot, its either up a steep hill or up steps, 104 of them we counted, but you can get a taxi ask at reception they will call you one, and it cost 4 euros each way, short drive but well worth it. This was no other English people staying at the hotel while we where there, mainly from Germany, and the Russia, but most where pleasent, it helps that my husband can speak German. So if you want a nice quiet beach holiday (get a sunbed right at the left of the hotel, it gets the sun all day) then this might be the place for you
the rooms are total disappointing, worst than 2* hotel - not 4*! the bathroom is even worst, very old and small. you need to pay 2 euros for 1h wifi - crazy for 4* hotel and more than 50 euros/night...
the rooms are total disappointing, worst than 2* hotel - not 4*! the bathroom is even worst, very old and small. you need to pay 2 euros for 1h wifi - crazy for 4* hotel and more than 50 euros/night. food was testy but same all the time. the beach is good (the best in that area) BUT you are paying too much only for something which not belongs to the hotel, because you need to pay also for umbrellas - extra. the staff are really friendly.
