Spent in the hotel 7 days, from 5-11.04 , all inclusive, great renovated rooms, great location, 10 main from hersonisis and 29 min from herklion, by car, hotel staff were very friendly , always helpful, rented a car from Nikos in the hotel, was happy to explain attractions in Crete and how to get there. WiFi ! Everybody complained about it but had no problem, not the fastest ( 3-5 MB surf) but had no connectivity problems and hey, your in vacation drop the freakin' laptops & smart phones :). Food was great also, good variety , la carte ammos restaurant not so good food. Rooms cleaned daily, public areas very clean also. Cons: - towels in the room terrible, - la carte restaurant is not good, -inside pool could be warmer ( we had terrible weather and wanted to enjoy at least one pool ) - breakfast is good, but me personally like my eggs be made fresh in front of me and not served in a plate , but that's just me, plus I wanted fresh orange juice and the waiter said they are out off juice , I didn't like it but it happened only once.. Rest of the times glad to give . Overhaul great hotel, waiters in main restaurant and main bar and bellboy very nice, would recommend it and definitely will come back to the hotel summer time .

I have been there last summer (in 2014) and it was a shock to find out that we spent money for a 5-star hotel and what we found was at most a 3-star one! Bad food, poor furnished rooms, not at all sea-view (all the hotel is build behind trees and it only has 1 floor so they ask for money for seaview for nothing because no one has sea view), staff not polite at all. Do not recommend

Heraklion enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with glorious hot summers characterised by blue skies and blazing sun. The summer months are the best for getting on the beach, while spring is fresher with bursts of wild flowers in the countryside. The autumn is pleasant, and it is only in the winter that the weather turns grey, wet and sometimes cold.
