Just got back from 2 fabulous weeks at the RAM, 4adults and 4 teenagers. On arrival check-in was fast and easy. We were shown to our room which was fantastic, we had a 2 bedroom family room, which was huge, clean and very well presented. Our friends had twin rooms which were also very clean and well presented. Our cleaner left us clean(warm) pool towels daily, clean bathroom towels and would knock at our door most evenings to check all was well. There was a number of restaurants with a variety of food to cater for all tastes, staff were friendly and helpful. Mohammed our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The varied bars were clean and well staffed, very rarely having to wait long to be served. Colombus the coffee bar was tastier than costa! Especially the caramel cappuccinos. We did have to get up early for sun beds, due to where we wanted to be around the active pool, but this wasn't a problem. Sayed would bring us drinks around the pool, and ice cream and fresh fruit was brought around the pool area during the afternoons, so you didn't even have to leave the sunbeds!, The animation team worked hard around the pool, with different activities, our rep Sabere was on hand daily if needed. We have visited Sharm 4 times before , staying in different hotels but we are now planning for next year already and will definitely be returning to Royal Albatros Moderna.

Just returned from 7 nights at RAM. We was expecting to be blown away with all the reviews we had read before going, however this wasn't the case once we got there. Pros, Fantastic pools and aqua park. Some of the staff are very helpful and cant do enough for you. Bar staff around the relaxation pool are very good and really do go the extra mile to make sure you are catered for. Swimming at the end of the jetty is brilliant. The sports bar and Irish bar are really good and the staff in them are excellent. The coffee lounge is fantastic and the best tasting coffee I've ever tasted. Entertainment team work very hard and they certainly earn their corn and they are a credit to the RAM Cons. 1,Very rude and not very nice reception staff, we had an issue with one of the rooms we had in that it was a very small, dark, smelly and the air conditioning wasn't working, The reception wouldn't offer to upgrade UNLESS we paid the additional amount required, it wasn't the cost it was the rudeness and arrogance of the manager on duty at the time that left a very bitter taste in the mouth. We found that everytime we needed to use the reception this was the case on every occasion. 2, Sunbeds around ALL the pools are non existent if you wake up after 7.30am! We saw many occasions where holiday makers arguing that they had laid towels on the sunbeds etc. The hotel really needs to sort out the *non reserve* policy as this is a real issue. 3, Restaurants are very clean and look great, however you spend far too long wandering around them all to get what you like, the food in general is very much the same throughout and found it bland. Also the desserts on offer are not of the standard of a 5 star hotel and the selection of desserts are very limited. on past experience in Sharm I have experienced far more selection. 4, The jetty is in much need of repair, as you walk along a lot of the boards are raised and mismatched timber used , off the side there is a lot of debris and mess in the water, this needs cleaning up to make it as pretty as other jetty's that we went on. 5, Evening entertainment was hit and miss it was either really good or abysmal. Overall and in my opinion the hotel is very nice indeed and stunning to look at, however I don't think there are enough staff to cater for the needs of all the holiday makers that are on holiday. The food/ restaurant situation needs addressing and the entertainment of an evening could do with some looking at. The sunbed situation is a joke unless you want to get up at 6.30am on holiday. I wouldn't rate this hotel poorly but it really needs to look at certain areas to make it much better. We as a family will not be returning to RAM unless the factors above are addressed.

Returned home today after a 10 day stay here...The place is great for a family, stayed in room 210 which is ground floor next to the activity pool..which turned out to be a blessing as on day 1 I went to see what sun beds where available at 7am...and there weren't any at all! So the remaining 9 days I had to get up at 5am and walk the short distance to the pool and continue my sleep with my reserved 4 beds, just nowhere near enough for the amount of guest! Food is good, staff are very friendly, especially if you give them a £1 coin tip now and again, especially at the pool...entertainment is 'ok'...Nothing special. But all in all we had fun. Not sure we'll go back though purely because of the sun bed issue's. Agree with everything in Stevenn8861's review on the 28th July. Glad to be home to catch up on my sleep now.

Just returned from this hotel, I did not find this 5* nor did I find the staff helpful or nice, would be lucky if I got service with a smile. Hotel ground and pools, Good Rooms, dated and not very clean Food, repeated a lot more like canteen food. Customer service, very poor Cocktails are just syrup and long life juices, I thought there would be fresh cocktails, no fresh juice. Coffee bar does great coffees. I don't think I will be going bak to this hotel, I found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful, rooms were not as u would except from 5* Food was not nice.
