Our Take

Let's start with what got us really pumped up about this hotel: it's on the beach. No ifs, no buts, no maybes - it's on. The. Beach. Like, right along the coast of Nabq National Park if you want to be all picky and get your Google Maps out, so yeah - the sand was right there. And naturally, so was the beach club - which was handy when we could just flip-flop back to the room after a few cocktails. This was our go-to spot in the afternoon, and the staff were absolute superstars - bringing us drinks faster than we could even get our order out most of the time (spouses, take notes). But when we weren't slurping on cosmos, we were hitting the mega slides at the waterpark or dunking into one of the (seven) pools. Our faves were the slightly warmer ones, so we didn't have to endure all that 'it's alright once you're in' malarkey. Oh, and foodies - you'll be in for a treat here, because the buffet restaurant is stacked with options. No same old, same old here. Let's just say it's a good thing we went all-inclusive, because most nights we were on second, third and fourth helpings. A moment of silence for elasticated waistbands, please.
