We stayed here for 2 weeks in June and we had an amazing time. Best holiday we have ever had. The hotel is beautiful and full of things to do, the kids loved it. The anamation team were brill with the kids, water sports in the day and disco at night. Mady and chico were amazing they always went above and beyond for us. The staff in club mac were fab dancing with the kids and making them animals from napkins. The staff were friendly and the rooms were basic but lovely and clean. The pools and slides are out of this world. I will 100% be returning to aqua blu and I'm looking forward to it.

From arrival to leaving the staff were very helpful. Reception booked us in quickly and our bags were carried to our room for us. Our room (1264) was basic but did the job and we overlooked the entertainment stage area. Nothing went on there during the day but the evening entertainment is on that stage and finishes at approximately 10:45pm. The animation team were brilliant during the day and in the evenings. They all worked tirelessly and always have smiles on their faces and time to say hi and have a chat. A special big thank you to Mady and Voova (not sure if I've spelt that right so apologies if not!! 😉) our girls (aged 10 and 8yrs) struck up an instant bond and couldn't wait to see them each day. A huge thank you also goes to Mostafa in Cave du Rol who greeted us with a smile at all meal times and spent time with us so we also struck up a great bond with him. Mido in the Spa was brilliant and gave us fab Henna Tattoos. We would also like to thank the man who cleaned our room every day, made us a big towel crocodile and always asked if we were happy and if we had everything we needed (we did ask for extra water as we visited during a heatwave so needed it- he obliged with no problem) we really can't praise the staff enough but Mady really made our girls holiday special so huge thank you Mady- you are a huge credit to Aqua Blu!!! The pools and water slides were brilliant and very rarely had to queue long considering the amount of people that were there. Yes, the food does become a bit samey but then again it's buffet food catering for hundreds of people from different parts of the world so we thought they did very well. There are plenty of options for all meal times and none of us left hungry. The evening entertainment varies each day and there is entertainment for children in the early evening followed by entertainment for the adults. They then move on to The Jazz bar from 11pm but we did not go as we were too tired by this time! We would recommend taking the shuttle bus over the road to the beach at the sister hotel where you can go snorkelling and do water sports. We did snorkelling and our children loved it! We stayed 8 nights on our holiday which we found was a good amount of time due to the high temperatures. We read many reviews before we left but had no problems or negatives throughout our stay and we would go back tomorrow if we could! Loved it and missing you all at Aqua Blu- keep up the awesome work xxxx

Hi, I have never wrote a review ever but thought I had to give this place a review. I booked through Elite travel (Trevor) and at first a bit sceptical but how wrong could I have been. I have stayed all over the world in 7 star hotels and 2 star hotels so a good mix and believe me the service in the lower stars were at times better than the top star hotels. Anyway, Elite travel were absolutely amazing as when you travel at night with your family including inlaws you need things to go well especially in a country we have never been too. We arrived at 8.30pm and night had drawn in so the jitters of our transfer not turning up set in! how wrong could I have been again, as we got off the plane and took the escalator up to first floor our driver was there waiting "even before passport control!!!) he stayed with us and held our hand through customs and bag collection then took our bags to the very cool temperature mini bus and 25mins later we are at the hotel where he checked us in and then disappeared into the night and the return transfer was the same professional standard..... Now onto the Hotel, good and bad points really but more good than bad, the whole complex is immaculate from top to bottom, rooms are great (we had the bunkbed room) and cleaned everyday!!! yes every day, it was as if we just arrived every day with fresh water in the fridge daily, clean bed linen including the pillow cases! I could not fault Achmed and his team who were all friendly and helpful nothing was too much to ask. The front desk were also very helpful and once again our every need was attended too even when I asked them to clean the pool as it was a little dirty and he apologised that it must have been missed that day and within 15mins the pool cleaner was there and sorted, we can all have problems at times but its how it is dealt with is the main thing...We became friend with a lot of staff but the guys at the BAR OUTSIDE to the mediterranean restaurant were the best of all, a good laugh with good banter both ways all in good fun...All the slides were very safe and well managed by staff including the lifeguards looking after the kids safety mainly... Now to the bad points, if you want a detox from drinking this is the place to come (while still drinking alcohol !!) as we felt as if we were in rehab as most of the drinks were watered down or low alcohol content as we were never tipsy at all and after 4 days we went outside and brought drink in ourselves at our expense!!! the red wine and lager were or seemed real I must say...The most annoying thing was the portion sizes for the drinks and ice cream for kids as you felt as if you were up and down like a yoyo. the food well what can I say, the complex caters for Russians and Germans mainly and most definitely no English food insight (No English breakfast ) ha ha... 2 out of our party of 5 basically ate salads and chips for the week where the rest just picked one or 2 dishes we liked and stuck to that the whole time (I MUST WARN ANYONE EATING THE CHICKEN DISHES TO BE VERY VERY CAREFUL AS THE CHICKENS AND COOKED FULLY ON THE BONE AND SERVED THAT WAY CHOPPED UP!! VERY DANGEROUS FOR THROAT AND TEETH).. This is NOT all inclusive as the only food that was any good had to be paid for and was NOT a fair price at all as the lobster was 750 Egypt pounds which is around £75!!! that's one expensive Lobster and the prawns were around £30-£50 a pop. I was advised about the Al Carte menu being at an extra price which is fine but not when the main food served is crap and more or less forces you to eat in the Al Carte so called restuarants which are basically plastic table and chairs outside in the searing heat with no aircon as they're outside!!! So to recap if you want an amazing hotel with great staff, fun, absolutely immaculate and your TEE TOTAL who doesn't know POO from clay when eating then this is PARADISE. I hope this is a fair account of the Aqua Blu. One last thing I must add is that after speaking to other people whom had been to different hotels in the area then the Aqua Blu is Paradise as every family we spoke to had a horrid time. Mark Ps, I still give this a very good review but not excellent
