I booked the Hauza hotel for the facilities and services it advertised that it did. On arrival I was greeted by rude reception staff who seemed preoccupied with anything other than checking visitors in. The room was Ok but the housekeeping was less than satisfactory. Second day there left with no toilet paper and room had not been cleaned just bed made. I phoned several tines to inform them that I had no toilet paper and no hot water. By 7.30pm no one had come to rectify either of the issues raised. After a cold shower I walked to reception to inform them again of problems. At 11.30pm someone knocked on my door with toilet rolls and to fix the hot water! As they had woken me up I told them to fix the problem with the water in the morning. They did not fix the water problem and I was forced to have yet another cold shower; third one of the holiday! I rang for room service on the north evening as I did not want to eat in the restaurant or to sit and watch the entertainment. I was informed that I had to walk up to the main restaurant to get the bottle of wine I had requested. The food was less than satisfactory, hot food was always cold or not cooked along with a limited selection to cater for all needs. Breakfast was most popular meal although it did mean eating eggs everyday for the whole holiday. Getting your eggs often entailed queuing for at least 20 minutes everyday as this was the most popular choice for almost everyone. They advertised that they did currency exchange at reception - they don't, they send you to a cashpoint machine that is about 10/15 minute walk away. As a solo traveller with a heart condition I book hotels on the services they offer to reduce my need to walk excessively. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my needs. All in all a very disappointing experience due to rude staff, poor food, lack of alcoholic beverages at bars, no hot water, no cleaning of room, no currency exchange, no room service. Definitely not a 4* hotel.

My mum visited this hotel a few years back and had an absolutely awful time.Unbeknown we booked the same hotel this year. I was devastated to say the least especially reading the reviews on here, but had no choice it was booked. We arrived and was surprised in that things weren't too bad. We were shown to our rooms which overlooked the pool area towards the see Block 10 (ground floor rooms 1006 and 1008). The rooms had 2 double beds in and were clean and had everything we needed. The bath could do with being renewed as enamel had warn and my youngest son thought it was dirty (it wasn't). Our main concerns tbh were the food. So the next morning we were pleasantly surprised about was available. Freshly made omelettes or fried eggs, pancakes, pastries, bread, meats cheese, beans, hard boiled eggs, beef sausages. No fruit though which was a disappointment. Lunch we had pool side which was cheese and 'ham' (beef) toasties, then about 3/4pm there was a hot option of rice, potatoes in various formats, and either chicken, fish or meatballs, with salad and rolls. Beach side you can get gorgeous freshly made pizzas. Dinner - we only had the Egyptian night which was outside with a traditional show. The food was absolutely amazing with a HUGE range of everything traditional including some pastas and a version of macaroni cheese. The BBQ bread with lamb mince inside was a firm favourite with my boys and all freshly prepped and made there. Desserts were fantastic too. Downside - drink situation not great too many people to cater for and in the thimble plastics given, make sure you order 3 or 4 drinks each! This does bring me on to the drinks side. Take your own bigger plastic cups with you TOP TIP!!! Animation staff did there absolute best especially Katie from UK, great girl! The trips available through the guys around the pool are more expensive - go to Falcon (come out of the hotel get taxi - ask for ADAM if he is there, available just outside gate) Falcon is near Macdonalds a short taxi ride to right of hotel. Eating out - Hard Rock in Nabq is brilliant, turns into a club at night. The Strawberry Mojitos are amazing! StoneGrill next to the British Pub (outlined in red neon) is fab - cook your own fillet steaks or other meats, on the hot stones. Fillet approx £11!! The British Pub is great for burgers, footy, PS games for kids Soho Square is always a great place to visit and there is a restaurant at the far end which is a Chinese, Thai, Egyptian all in one - its brilliant but does get busy! Back to the hotel. Overall this hotel has probably one of the best locations in Nabq, but is very tired with lots of renovations needed, although did see signs of being done in places. The hotel really needs to listen the the positives and the negatives written on here as this could be a great place to go. For the price was it worth it? we paid approx £4k with flights baggage taxes for 5 people. together with what we paid additionally on top for eating out, trips etc we could have booked a much higher standard of hotel and not had to have eaten out so much. So no it isn't worth it. However, it was made so much better by the friends we have made all of whom were in the same boat! I think with the new management in place this hotel will be on the up, but will take time and more effort.

Honestly you cant go wrong for the price!don't get put of by these reviewers that want way too much for the money..only downside for ME was the food,It was not great but was eatable.. One other thing the guys asking and trying to upsell services did get annoying after abit. We had a trip to jordan and the hotel provided us with a pack lunch which was very kind of them.. Over all loved it and will go back God willing.

My partner and I stayed at Hauza Beach resort from 16th -26th March and had a fantastic time. As it was our first time in Egypt we decided to go with an open mind after reading some pretty subjective reviews but we found it to be very good value for money. The hotel is a little tired and dated that much is true but the rooms are big and clean and the beds are comfortable. The beach was lovely especially the quiet beach and seeing the fish swim around you was amazing. The food was acceptable..the usual fayre that comes with the all inclusive deal..the fresh bakery was lovely despite the rationing of butter and the fresh pasta cooking station was a hit. The pool bar was a nice place to relax in the evening but only had a limited amount of snacks available. As a lot of other reviewers have mentioned the animation team were great especially Piko who played Bocca everyday with my partner despite getting a thrashing most days. A couple of days before we left they opened the health facilities on the site offering massages which my partner tried and recommends. My advice to anyone wanting a budget holiday In a country that gives you beautiful views and wall to wall sunshine is to try the Hauza Beach Resort and go with an open mind and no expectations. .you will be pleasantly surprised.
