We arrived at Mercure Hurghada july this year, We was greeted by Cloe and Marley on arrival and we felt very welcomed. Before we was showed to our rooms we was told we had 10 minutes to have food before the resturant shuts it was Cairo night and there was nothing but left overs and the food was below standard we expected a bit more after 12 hours of travelling. After that we was shown to our rooms and we was amazed by the quality and cleaness of the room. We stayed in room 2012 and it had a great pool and sea view, which i requested on arrival. Throughout the day there is a lot of entertainment around the pool area such as Volleyball, Football, Water aerobics, Water polo, Steppers, and Belly dancing classes. There was always something to do. On our first day we was pestered by a man who was selling a massage we said we wasn't interested and he still carried on consitently, he knew our names and a few days after he was shouting "you owe me £50 pounds". Towards our second week he left us alone but also through the day your bothered by men selling horse riding, massages and water sports, even if you say no they will come back an hour later and ask again. The clean-ness of our room was superb and the maid always spoke to us daily, he was very friendly and always asked how our holiday was going. There was always a feature left on the bed. On a daily basis we always struggled to eat, the hotel doesn't really cater for the British, this hotel is mostly known for the Russians and Germans, who will be rude and ignore you throughout. In the pool bar they served pizza, chips, hot dogs and burgers and on a number of occasions i had uncooked food. 12 out of 14 days i was unwell on the holiday and in the end had to phone a doctor. The choice of drink was very poor everything was mostly watered down. In the nights the entertainment team put on a different show every night, I must say we both enjoyed them but.. some of the entertainment team looked as if they couldn't be bothered this wasn't only in the night it was throughout the day. This is especially aimed at the tall Russian girl with tattoos and the blonde girl with short hair. We would definitely recommend the Makadi water park and the Quad experience through the sahara desert, book these with thomson before you fly out because they charge £15.00 more, i would also recommend you take snacks for your room and everything you need down to a T. There was a lot of pretty fish in the red sea and we went to buy some snorkels from the shop inside the hotel which we paid £40 for. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and had a really good time the trips was worth every penny, we would definitely go back to Hurghada but stay in a different hotel, which caters more towards the British.

We went to mercure hotel in july 2015 for lesuire when we arrived they welcomed us very well they offered an orange juice it was ok but not so cold a few minutes we moved to the rooms it was tidy and clean, the furniture is modern the service is ok stuff are pollite and friendly and Animation team is so funny and beautiful everything is ok in this hotel food was good but not brilliant it is a good place for lesuire but it needs very small things to be perfect like food must have more varieties and types the hotel must be more luxury and bigger than this I suggest to make a bigger pool than this and expand recepition. There was only a small probelm that i didn't like there was alot of ants in the room and outside the room they must solve this problem. Finally I enjoyed staying in mercure hurghada hotel and wish to return back in one day.

Brilliant, not a massive Hotel but kept well and clean. Excellent staff throughout from the cleaners to the managerial. Loved it and had a fantastic time. Would recommend to anyone. Rooms are of a good standard and are very similar to each other so you do not have to worry what you get.

We went there for the "Cabrinha 2016 kiting launch" the rooms are OK. Could do with an up grade. Linen old and pillows are hard and spongy. We were all inclusive the Restruant staff don't care and the food is sub standard. Wine is terrible and the rest of the free alcohol is watered down. Of the 50 people that came to the launch, 20 got food poisoning. That's the problem with all inclusive hotels, they don't really care. Besides the food and booze the kiting was excellent and the wind was strong 20/30knots. Just remember the drivers in Egypt think they save power by driving without lights at night "DUMB". Just be aware!!!!! Rather hire a car less stressful.
