Stayed here for 10 nights in January looking for some winter sunshine and were not disappointed. The hotel is a good size but easy to navigate and there are pools and bars all over, everything is all inclusive which is great as most AI hotels have some chargeable bars etc but here you can use all for free. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, good was good especially the oriental restaurant and our room was cleaned every day with towel animals and on my husbands birthday Akmed the room attendant even brought a cake which was a nice touch! Shuttle to the beach was efficient and there is a shopping mall close by senzo mall about 5 mins walk. Mokhtar our rep with ETS was a lovely man and very courteous he is so helpful, we went on a private tour of Hurghada with him and it was great to learn about the Islamic culture from him! For what we paid it was good value indeed (£346) each including flights! Would go again to Hurghada but think we would try a different hotel next time maybe the Dana beach and more used to 5 star properties but as I say great for the price :-)

My mum and I visited Hurghada for the first time from Jan 30 - Feb 6th, choosing to stay at Alf Leila Wa Leila. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a room number in the 300’s, it was not up to standard and we changed to a room in the 500s which was much nicer. The rooms had a safe and fridge and the beds were comfortable. We were the only black people staying at the hotel and I have never been subjected to the treatment that I endured at this hotel as well as in Hurghada. I did not notice any other tourists from the UK staying at this hotel until the last day of my stay. The behaviour of the eastern Europeans and the Arab people was terrible (both in and outside the hotel), all I will say is that they clearly are not used to seeing black people, however that does not excuse the pointing, laughing, sniggering and blatant talking about us, this was every day, every time we left our hotel room. Food The food at the hotel was typical of an all inclusive and had a wide variety on offer, sometimes the queues were long, depending on the time of day. Activities/Entertainment Table tennis x 2, ice -hockey tables which required payment, there was a gym onsite which from the outside looked fine. Allergists They have a sign up outside the restaurants stating that you should inform the restaurant manager of any allergies, I did this however the gentleman that I spoke to did not understand English. Service The staff gave my mother a birthday cake which was a very nice gesture. The last day of our stay my mother had a jewellery box stolen from the room, this was only realised once returning back to the UK, she has contacted the hotel but is yet to receive a response. Conclusion I will NEVER return to Hurghada.

Stayed here for 11 nights in Jan/Feb 2015.Was bigger, with more to the place than we had expected as now feel the website doesnt really show it very well.It is about 20 mins from the airport. I would call this, more of a resort,as it is set within a very large area with swimming pools(i counted 7...or maybe 8 :) ),shops,bars,restaurants..and entertainment all over. The decor of the reception, restaurants bars is very old Egyptian and looks lovely. I feel the only way to comment, is to go through each of the good..and bad areas 1 by 1. Rooms...comfy and spacious, with a TV to get some english channels and live Premier League games ao a Sat,with a good sized bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and always cleaned every day by,in our case,a very good cleaner. only downside..we were within the area near the late opening disco bar which went on till 2am each night and it was loud in our room.(148) Swimming pool(No2 in our case) and area around was clean, sunbeds aplenty and the one we used was quiet, which we enjoyed.......note..pool was not heated and bl...y cold!! ) Food and restaurants...generally good with plenty of choice and was in the norm, hot and tasty. there are different tastes catered for as in Italian and Chinese restaurants. There is an ice cream parlour, and during the day,a snack bar to get fast food to take to your sunbed or eat in, with choices such as pizza, burgers, pasta, salad and fruit also, and drinks. there are bars spread within the resort near the pools which are open during the day,and in the main street there are several bars all near the square, where entertainment takes place till about 11pm, then the late music bar takes over till 2am. there is a very big amphitheatre style arena which has nightly shows with acts such as horse show, egyptian dancing, fire act etc...there are several entrances to it and they are marked with what language is being spoken as the commentary to each act. There are 2 crazy golf sites, table tennis tables and a room with 3 pool tables..all fre Staff...ok,but some could do with learning to smile. There are several shops on site and a Chemists,There is a covered shopping mall with a large supermarket and different shops/bars about a 10 minute walk from the resort and it also has a KFC and McDonalds. points to note...English are in the minority as this is more widely used by Russians and Germans Wi-Fi is available,,but within the reception area. all in all..enjoyed our stay but found it impersonal due to the size.

Me and my boyfriend went over christmas 2014 for 8 days. The cleaning was not really good, sometimes they came around 10 am, sometimes at 5 pm, at the time the pools were closing. Then you just want to relax and have a shower. They forgot to restock the fridge and change the towels a few times. The staff was friendly and helpfull, but the barstaff should get more training in cocktails. Tasted different everytime, and never tasted like they should. Beer and wine was ok. A few bars had bottled beer, ( was nicer) and the other ones got it from the tap. Not much flavour. Food was ok, you could always find something to eat in the 4 restaurants. In the pictures there is a bar IN the pools. We went around looking for it the whole week. Its not there anymore, or they just took it away during winter. The hotel is very big, would have been nice with more(any) signs, feels like you missed alot of things, and just by accident stumbled upon them. All in All a good hotel. You can easily spend a week. Hamam was good!
