Just returned home on Thursday 2nd July and this was a 2nd visit for us. I have to say we were just as satisfied with our holiday as the 1st time. The same high standards of room, which had been updated, the same quality and choice of good food, although there was not such an abundance of fresh fruit as before but we asked for the fruit we wanted and got it, and equally excellent friendly service and help. There is everything you need on this holiday and we would return again. A special thank you to Aby, our Thomson rep who was on site frequently to give us information we needed and to The St George Hotel for giving us another great holiday.

My parents got married at this hotel in 2000, and when trying to find a hotel to stay at with my partner for our first holiday together, there was no where better than St George's. We had a fantastic week, food was lovely, staff were very friendly. During our stay, it was my partners birthday. On the morning of his special day, staff organised and brought us up a bottle of Champagne, something that meant a lot to us, and this was not asked for. We had such an amazing time and really hope we can come back in the future!

Arrived at 23.30 and put cases in room and went to bar for a drink, the bar staff were so friendly and welcomed us immediately getting our drinks then explaining all inclusive finished at midnight so gave us another one just before it ended Mina told us all about the hotel she was enthusiastic and made a great first impression of what we would expect throughout our stay. The room was very clean and all white decor, double bed is two large singles joined together and very comfortable , shower over the bath which is adequate but not very powerful, toiletries replaced everyday as was the tea and coffee. We went to the shop and brought a bottle of milk which lasted in the fridge all week. we upgraded to a sea view room which i would recommend to request sea view or pool view as all these rooms look over both. Beach towels you collect from the spa and these can be changes every 3 days only no deposit required. The in room safe is also complimentary. The food was very good with plenty of choice for everyone. Waiters walked around the pool and beach area all day taking drinks orders, you could also order food brought to your sunbed in takeaway cartons ( not between 1200-1500). The bar on the terrace was lovely in the evening or late afternoon and when ordering drinks you get them in proper glasses and the vodka then a bottle of tonic is brought separate, also lovely cocktails included and the milkshakes in this bar are amazing with thick ice cream in them which we would often go and have as our dessert after dinner. The spa is a very high standard and even has a full thalasso pool in a private area with steam and sauna rooms and you can book this out for an hour for 40 euros one person then 10 euros any one else so well worth getting together and booking this for an hour. Treatments were also of a high standard and very reasonably priced. There is a sauna, steam and Jacuzzi that can be used free and no booking required which was lovely to pop in for 20 mins after laying around pool all day as it got all the oil and cream out of the pores. We were able to connect to the free wifi everywhere even on the beach. The only very small negative we had is a late check out room is 60 euros and this is only until 6pm. There is a shop in the hotel and the people that manage this are so helpful and friendly, you really do not have to leave the hotel if you don't want to as you can get all souvenirs snacks etc from this shop and if they have not got what you need then ask and they will get it by the next day and the prices are on par with outside the hotel but you do not have the expense of transport to get there. I hope to return again and recommend this for both couples and family's.

As expected, the weather in Cyprus is delightful and whenever you decide to fly off on your holidays to Cyprus, you are bound to have lots of sun. Summer months are the best with temperatures around 30° Celsius and over and even in the later months it isn't much lower. There can be some unexpected rainfall occasionally over winter so along with your shorts and bikinis, make sure you pack a light jacket just in case!
