Just got back went in a group of 15 got there about 11.45 at night check in no problems had room 139 right by pool and dining room. Hotel good in general staff very obliging excellent service at pool bar and very good food at pool barbecue area. dining room was ok at beginning and end think chef had a few days off in the middle because choice deteriorated. pool very good the kids were happy but sun beds had to be grabbed by 8.30 or you didn't get one. no real daytime entertainment if there was we couldn't understand the announcement and the evening entertainment was just half an hour of kiddy disco hour of bingo again not able to understand announcements then very poor caberet very poor queen tribute band. ended up going out the last three evenings warm welcome in all bars just outside hotel especially beechers brooke, the courtyard and francys. overall would not return to this hotel due to their lack of entertainment but loved the resort. had a great day out at aqualand.

Just home from an amazing weeks holiday! Really don't understand these bad reviews, we (like everyone else) read the reviews before we left and feared the worst..but we really had nothing to worry about. Let's not forget that we only paid 2k for a week all in for the 3 of us so my review has that in mind.. Room was clean and tidy, no issues at all, maids came in daily and cleaned the room as expected. Food was fantastic, loads of choice and always hot, really was loads to select from, so no issues at all. Staff were really friendly, couldn't do enough for us to ensure our holiday went ok, really couldn't fault them. Entertainment was pants.. Location of hotel is beautiful, spent lots of time outside the hotel sightseeing, just a lovely place to spend some time walking around. All in all a great cheap holiday! As always you get what you pay for, wouldn't hesitate in going again. And take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt, I really do think people spend £1500-2000 and expect 5 star hotel and service.

Went for a holiday here in May 2015 - 7 days All Incl. The hotel was clean, a bit dated but had everything you needed for a decent stay. The buffet was good if you decided to stay away from the usual chips and meat combo - the local cuisine they do offer is of good quality. One of the pools was being renovated so the main pool was a little crowded but not enough to detract from the use of it. The area is good if a little quiet, lots of picturesque walks and good links to other parts of the island such as Playa De la Arena and Playa De Las Americas. Lots of local bars and plenty of convenience stores if you were on self - catering. Special mention to the staff who were beyond helpful and took pride in their work.

Stayed here in 2 bed apt with my 2 sons, my friend and her son. First impressions we were happy enough. Lobby is nice. Checked in by abrupt young fella who as the week went on and had to deal with him more you would wonder why he is on reception at all. We werent the only ones who found him rude either. Changed rooms on the saturday due to a lizard who didnt want to leave the room. I know they are harmless but I dont want my kids sleeping in the room with them either!! The same reception lad said he would be up to deal with it personally. Hour later we found out he had left. Not very professional! In complete contrast Juan on reception could not have been more helpful. He was an absolute gem. Moved us to room on 3rd floor. discovered here the twin beds crawling with little insects. Had to sprip beds and spray everywhere and still found more next day. A bit of a mystery as to why they were only in my room and not my friends. The cleaning lady who dealt with our apt was fantastic. I did a google translate for her about the insect situation and she did everything she could to help. Onto the dining room. The staff here are brilliant. Work long hours and are crazy busy but are still pleasant. Special mention to Adolpho and Romario who went out of their way for my friends son who was 8 while we were there. They got a cake and brought it out to him after we had ate dinner. Top marks for these staff members. The food was varied. If your fussy go self catering but if your prepared to try a bit of everything you wont go hungry here. Kids choices are fairly limited at dinner though. As other reviews have stated the pool area and hotel get very manic at weekends when the natives arrive. They can be very loud, obnoxious and rude. Not something we let bother us but I can see how people found it irritating. The area around hotel is quiet but a 15 min stroll will take you to Los Gigantes where there are more shops and bars and the harbour is there for boat trips. Entertainment here was a bit hit and miss. Though the animation team do work hard it is very repetitive. On our last day my son slipped at pool and cut his head. Lifeguard was quick to respond and a fellow male guest pulled him from the pool, never got to thank him!! Also thanks to Ally who helped. Juan on reception was quick to get hold of the doctor who was up to our room in 10 minutes and did the stitches. All in all even though we had a few incidents we didnt let it spoil our week. We met some lovely people. The cleaning and restaurant staff here deserve an award and there is customer service training needed for an individual on reception. If you want a quiet holiday this is not the place for you.
