This hotel is really good in most parts. Location - 5/5 Lovely location right on the sea front. It is centrally located between Playa Del Duque and Playa Fanabe both which are easily walked to. There are lots of very close restaurants offering good food. It is at the top of a hill if you walk to the front of the hotel but it is flat if you walk out to the promenade through the sea side gate. It should be noted that the Costa Adeje/Playa Fanabe area is very hilly. Room - 4/5 We stayed in a Superior Double Priority Location. Our room was in the Electra block which is central to everything. The room was very large with an amazing view out across the sea. Even with a third bed up in the room we still had more than enough space. The beds were comfortable but firm and the bedding was changed regularly. The bathroom was well cleaned and there was a daily supply of towel as well as bathrobes. When the bathroom light broke it was quickly replaced after contacting reception. The room was cleaned daily and towels replaced twice a day. Also you got the customary chocolates on your pillow and turn down service. It was fine to keep bottles of water in the minibar though it is quite small. On one of the days a man turned up to replace the minibar fridge. We were not contacted to say that this was being done and really felt that reception could have dropped us a noted to let us know. For English TV channels you needed to put the TV onto "Analogue" on the remote control and you then had 8/9 channels to choose from including BBC1,2 &3, ITV1 &4, Horror and News channels. Details on how to do this were not given in the room. I understand why other people may say the that the rooms look run down, it is not initially noticeable but when you start looking there is paint chipped off table legs, scuffed wall paper in the corridors, ledges and bathroom seals not completely cleaned. It was nowhere near enough to spoil the holiday and if others had not mentioned it I would probably not even have commented as it really is nothing. Though it was a little worrying that the Fire Alarm box outside room E213 was broken for the whole of our holiday, it only needed the front replaced but this was not done. Pool - 5/5 Excellent pools. We never used the fresh water pool located centrally in the hotel as we liked the sea water pools. Of the two sea water pools the first one is the more shallow pool and it is slightly larger then the second one. This pool is the main one used by children as it is sloping and did appear a little warmer, it is also where most of the inflatables and ball games happen, even though the pool rules say that neither are allowed . (Why have rules if they not enforced?) The second pool is deeper, (1.58m) and is quite cool, though not too cold. As it is deep all the way round it was mainly used by adults. The shallow pool is also used daily for the Aquafit/ Zumba. There was always sunbeds free, though the prime positions were normally gone by 10.00am, but you did not need rush down at dawn. Towels are left on sunbeds, though on one day the pool attendant did go round and put notices on bed that were unattended saying that towels would be removed in 30 minutes, which he then did. this only happened on one day though. On a busy day extra beds and parasols were brought out. Towels are collected daily from a hut around the pool and you can change them as often as you need. A really nice touch is the free slushes, fruit, ice cream or juice that is brought round daily at about 11.00am a really nice added extra. Food - 3/5 The breakfasts are very nice with a good selection of the usual breakfast foods. Cereals, cooked breakfasts, fruit , cold meats, omelettes, cava, breads etc. Service was also quick and waiting staff very cheerful. We only used the pool bar once and found the selection very poor and milkshakes warm. Service was quick both in the bar and around the pool. The evening meal was ok however, in comparison to other 5* hotels was very poor. . All though there is choice it is not as good as the choice we had had in other hotels of equivalent standards. Many of the dishes, being freshly cooked, had to be queued for and the service was not fast. Some of the dishes we tried where not good, tough meat or tasteless. We used the restaurant twice as it is not possible to get the discounted price of 27 euros unless you paid for two night. So this was not even a cheap meal especially after you added drinks. We had much better meals, for less, in restaurants outside the hotel. We would definitely not both eating in the hotel if we returned. We did not eat in either the other restaurants or go to any of the entertainments. Overall Wifi is free and we always seemed to have good coverage. There only appeared to be one power socket in the room but we over came this using a multisocket adaptor. The staff were all very friendly, polite and gave a very high level of service. A really good hotel that we would happily return to, but there are just a few details that stop it from being outstanding. If you go to this hotel you will have an excellent holiday.

Well, where do i start describing the wonderful experience of Iberostar Anthelia. We've recently returned from our honeymoon and can only describe our time at the hotel as excellent. We traveled with our daughter, who is 2 years old, and found the services for adults and children to be very good. The staff at the hotel are the most charming and friendly we have experienced at any hotel we have stayed and the food is of outstanding quality. We stayed in a suite (Dafne 308) and i feel this was possibly the best view in the whole hotel. We had wonderful sea and pool views also a beautiful sunset view from our side balcony. As mentioned, the staff are wonderful and can not do enough for you, with the added bonus of always having a smile on their faces. Our daughter loved the children's entertainment, which is delivered from what i consider a very hard working and dedicated entertainment team. All in all i'd like to that the hotel for making our honeymoon a beautiful experience. This was our first visit to this hotel and will defiantly not be our last.

Party of 4 adults (ages 30 - 57 and two children (ages 7 and 11), just returned after spending two great weeks at this fantastic hotel. Great food, staff, facilities and a great animation team. All staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help you. We had adjoining ground floor rooms, 115, 116 and 117 in Dafne block, perfectly located close to the pools and restaurants but also very quiet and handy for everything else on site. Kids clubs is great and the evening shows very professional and great entertainment. Good restaurants in Fanabe but steer clear of those on the main drag as they are overpriced and not good value for money. Try the restaurants in the side streets (Colala was good) on the left as you walk into Fanabe we tried several all good and reasonably priced. Avoid one on the main drag called Little Italy, absolute rubbish. Spanglish restaurant, first on the right after you leave the hotel and head towards Fanabe is great, good food, reasonably priced, great location, fabulous sunsets, staff are very friendly and good for a laugh. In El Duque the Mirador is great but expensive, as is the Japanese restaurant. All in all a fabulous holiday at a great hotel, you can book this hotel with the greatest of confidence that you will have a great a holiday, I will definitely return in the future.
