Had standard connecting rooms at this hotel for a week during Easter. Really liked the room, it wasn't 5 star luxury, but perfectly good (no ant problems). Spent most mornings by the main pool, which wasn't heated, but I quite liked this at it meant you had it virtually to yourself. The view from here was amazing. The acclimatised pool was ok but busy, didn't really use it. Location of this hotel is great. Close to airport, next to beach, all restaurants right on your doorstep. Really enjoyed trip out on a Segway. Great fun. Overall had a great holiday, perfect for relaxing, eating and drinking.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel though a month or so after we'd normally stay. It was the tail end of the Easter school holidays do the hotel was a bit more busy this time. We had a sea-view room with a private balcony but it didn't really catch the sun much. The buffet restaurant and the Porofino ( for lunch) were just as efficient and friendly as normal. We had one dinner in the Poseidon restaurant which made a change from the busy Zeus. We always love our cocktail in the bar before dinner and the overall calm ambience of this hotel ensure that we will be returning for another visit ( hopefully) before too long.

Loved the hotel, the welcome at reception when checking in was made much more pleasant when handed a glass of fizz (juice for the kids). We stayed in the Carmen block which is under refurbishment. The rooms are looking a little tired, but generally really lovely. The bathroom in my mums room was very tired, there as a crack in the bathtub. She's stayed there before and could tell it was ready for some TLC. I travelled with my mum and two children (9 and 12) The children weren't interested in the kids club, they felt too old, most of the other children there were under 7's. The evening entertainment was sometimes a little tacky, I'd been before (10 years ago) and saw a fantastic 'Lion King' show, so I was a little disappointed when most of the 'shows' were the entertainment team miming to pop songs and dancing about. Having said that the magician and acrobats that were bought in were amazing. We stayed all-inclusive and were very pleased with what was on offer. The food in the main restaurant was lovely, a great selection every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However we visited the restaurant near the main pool most days for lunch as it was nice to be served at the table. They did lovely salads and tapas type dishes as well as the usual pizza/pasta etc.(Don't recommend the Club Sandwich - wasn't what we expected, soggy sandwich filing - disappointing) We didn't take advantage of the use of the other two restaurants in the evening as we were more than happy with the buffet. The kids especially loved the pasta station and the chefs cooking steak fresh to order. They both ate steak almost every night!! There was a great selection of alcohol included too, we didn't come across any exceptions as weren't bothered about expensive champagne!! We drank branded spirits and liquors most evenings at no extra cost. Plus lovely wine at the bars and restaurants. The staff in the restaurants and bars in particular were super, very friendly with the odd exception. A special mention to Johanna would had us smiling whenever she as around. She's certainly a credit to the hotel, she never stopped! I looked at the spa prices as fancied a massage, however was shocked to see it was 80Euros so gave it a miss. I think we were there just as the seasons were changing. There was noticeable work going on towards the end of the stay. The area was spot on, walk out the front exit and to the left you can walk towards Las Americas with the usual subway/macdonalds etc and shops selling anything you can imagine, or turn right and you walk towards the Del Duque area which was lovely, very classy, with nice restaurants and shops. Plus a lovely beach. I did a great run most mornings - right out of the front gates to Calleta and back. It takes you along the coast and is pathed most of the way. Its a nice route for an evening stroll too. Wifi was very good on the whole, considering the size of the hotel is reached quite far. Sometimes a bit hit and miss around the pool but ok for social media etc. We spent most of the time around the 2 bigger pools - not heated!! Too cold for me but didn't stop my youngest jumping in and swimming about all day. Lovely touch too as each day the bar staff brought round either fruit/ice-cream/slush or cava and one of the days the entertainment team brought a large inflatable assault course into the main pool, just for a few hours, the kids loved it.

Recently stayed here for a week, hoping for a relaxing holiday in the sun, and that is exactly what we got! Check - in was friendly and efficient and we were offered a drink on arrival. The lobby is very grand and, like the rest of the "communal" areas of the hotel, beautifully decorated and maintained to the standard expected from a 5* hotel. This includes the lovely grounds and pool areas. However, we were slightly disappointed with our rooms as they were a little dated and, as others have commented, quite noisy. We could hear the toilets being flushed either in the room next door, or the one above. (couldn't work it out!) Also if voices were raised, they could also be easily overheard. Luckily, it wasn't too much of a problem as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but I imagine it might be annoying if you have small children trying to sleep. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe which is often not the case, however, no full length hanging area for long dresses. No tea or coffee making facility, but a decent sized fridge to store water. Wifi was free, but not very efficient. Although the room was spotlessly clean, on a couple of occasions, dirty tumblers were not removed. The toiletries were a bit random - we had four lots of shampoo, shampoo/conditioner, plus a container fixed to the wall which held yet more shampoo! Would have preferred some shower gel. However, the positives of our stay outweighed the little negatives! The staff were lovely, particularly in the pool areas, and the animation team full of enthusiasm! We were on a B&B option,as we like to explore other restaurants, and the three in the hotel grounds were extremely good. We didn't eat in the main dining room "Zeus" so cannot comment, but breakfast here was pretty good with plenty of options. My only criticism was the sparrows flying in and feasting (And no doubt doing other things!) on the fresh bread counter. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Plaza del Duque, where there are some high end shops and a supermarket, also one or two nice restaurants on the front. On the other side of the hotel is Playa de Fanabe which got very busy. Our daughter and her husband heard quite loud music coming from this direction in their room in Carmen. All in all, the hotel is situated in a good location offering wide choices of bars, restaurants and shopping.
