I travelled June 2015 for a week with a friend. This hotel is right next to the nightlife which was perfect for us as we headed out every night. The beach is right at the back of the hotel which was perfect for a mid-afternoon swim, when you leave the hotel turn right and you'll be taken to the sandy beach as well as restaurants, if you go left you're taken to the rocky part of the beach. Hotel is reasonably close to the airport, took almost an hour and a half on the way and an hour on the way back, would use a taxi next time though as this would only take 25 minutes and would cost €25/30 each way. When we arrived we were checked in quickly and told that the restaurant was closing in 15 minutes so we quickly headed to our room (block B room 555) and then back down for some food. Our room was basic but was exactly what we had paid for. Air conditioning was included as well as having a small fridge, 2 ring hob and various crockery for those guests staying self catering. We had a twin room so had two single beds, were slightly hard but not unbearable. Plenty of storage space in the room, with a large mirrored wardrobe. The room was clean and had a lovely view from the balcony. The bathroom was clean as well, having a bath/shower, a bidet, toilet and sink. A few slight problems with the room - there is only 2 plug sockets, 1 is already being used for the TV (so you need to unplug the TV is you want to use it) and the other is in the bathroom being used for the hairdryer (again needs to be unplugged for use). Also the walls are very thin, we heard someone sneeze next door and genuinely thought they were in our bathroom, not major complaints and didn't ruin our holiday - just make sure you take a 4-way with you!! The food in the restaurant was lovely, we ate here for breakfast and dinner, and had our lunches in the snack bar. Lots of choice in the restaurant with 3 or 4 meat dishes on every night as well as various vegetarian dishes, salads and stews. The food was changed up pretty much every night so didn't become repetitive. Breakfast was the same, we had the choice of continental and fried food so we were never short for choice. The snack bar opened at 11.30 and closes at about 6 (can't remember the exact time) and we ate all of our lunches here. They had burgers, toasties, hot dogs, chips, chicken nuggets, pizza, salad, cakes, ice cream and drinks/coffee machines. All the food is prepared in front of you so is fresh. The pool was lovely however if you're not down before 10 you will struggle to get a sunbed even though the hotel say they have a policy of removing towels from unused sunbeds. We came down a few days late morning and had to lie on the grass with reserved sunbeds all around us that were sitting for 4 sometimes 5 hours with no one on them, this is something the hotel needs to become more strict on. There is plenty to do throughout the day if you wish such as pool cycling, darts, sangria making etc. The pool bar can become very busy at times as there is usually only have 1 member of staff serving, and every time you order something you need to sign the receipt, I assume this is to keep track of stock but is time consuming for the waiters and holds up the queue. Over all thought the pool is relaxing and quiet, plenty of room for you to lie on the grass if you don't have a bed. A lot of the reviews on here have complained about the noise of the strip but what can you expect when you book a hotel so close? We were in the block furthest away from the strip and could still here the music but for all except 1 night we were contributing to the noise so I have no grounds on which to complain. Even on the 1 night we did stay in the noise was not unbearable and with the balcony door shut was almost silent. If you don't want to hear the noise from the strip book another hotel! At night there is entertainment in the bar downstairs and you can almost guarantee a seat no matter what time you go down. Like any all inclusives the majority of spirits are included as well as 2 cocktails, beers and softs. The measures are much bigger than in the UK so keep that in mind. The staff were very lovely and attentive and nothing was too much trouble, they are all an asset to the hotel. On our last day we were being picked up from the hotel at 4.30pm but realised that our all inclusive would run out at 12 and that lunch was not included. We queried this with reception as we had not received lunch on the day we had arrived so we're entitled to it. We spoke to a lovely man who said to us that we should check out earlier than the 12pm checkout and explain to the person checking us out that we would like to continue using our all inclusive until the 12pm cut off. That way they have to leave your band on and you can continue using it. He did tell us to not come back to reception until we were ready to leave incase someone noticed but I went up several times and nothing was said. There is a room you can hire to have a shower, you only get half an hour so you need to be quick but it's a great thing if you're planning to sit by the pool until your late pick up. All in all this is an average hotel with the most fantastic staff. The hotel is aimed towards the younger generation and stag/hen parties due to its location. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a break close to the nightlife. **** THE FOLLOWING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOTEL **** For those of you on a drinking holiday a word of advice - DO NOT buy a ticket for the Mission Bar Crawl. You pay €50 for the ticket which entitles you to absolutely nothing!!! On entering the first bar your ticket is checked and you're then told you have to buy a compulsory €5 raffle ticket with the line"everyone is a winner". I did not win a thing. You are then crammed in the bar while various shots are being laid out all which are free but they have just covered the price of them with your raffle ticket. You are also told your ticket will get you all your drinks for no more than €3 in each bar however I never paid more than €3 for a drink outwith the bar crawl. When you buy your ticket you get 2 nights on the bar crawl which run every Monday and Thursday. We went from the beginning (which is 8.30!!!!!) on the Thursday but soon realised that we could have easily joined in at another bar further along the crawl what is is exactly what we did on the Monday. The strip is only made up of around 10 bars so it is very easy to spot the bar crawl. Long story short, DO NOT BUY A TICKET!!!!!!!!
