I have just landed from 2 weeks all inclusive here. The apartment was quite spacious with large double length balcony. The rooms were kept clean with housekeeping 5 times a week. The pools were good sizes one shallow for smaller children and the other deeper. There were always spare loungers and parasols. The staff very friendly and hard working. Debora behind the bar was great and always knew what drinks we wanted. There was plenty of food and lots of variety. The hotel is positioned right by the beach with plenty of bars shops and restaurants close by. The bar closed at 11.30 and the entertainment was nearly non existent so you need to go to other bars if you want music. The security men were very strict and pushed the balls down the holes on pool table while my children were playing so he could put cues away. I had to purchase our own table tennis bats and balls but these were not allowed to be used in evenings. If your room faces into complex it's reasonable quite but if you face into street quite loud at night. Am not sure if I'd stay again bedrooms very hot only fan in lounge and as my son sleep walks we had to keep balcony doors closed.

We've just returned from a week at Compostella Beach (Family Garden Compostella if booked with Thomas Cook) with our family of 6 and none of us an understand half the negative reviews. The coach transfer was quick and easy- the second stop from the airport and around €15 by private taxi. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception who was friendly all week and a real asset. We did get confused trying to find the room due to the unusual number/letter system but we worked it out eventually without a major stress. Smile- you're on holiday!! As there were 6 of us we had 2 rooms- sea view and pool view. Both rooms were bright and recently painted with comfy chairs, sofa, all the kitchens were fully equipped and more storage than I have had from some 5* hotels! The sea view was cooler as it was on the top floor and it was also split over 2 floors which might be difficult if you had little ones but the view was great. We hired a fan for €20 for the pool view too. Any pool view room would be great in our opinion. We had zero problems with cockroaches. In fact we only saw one tiny one all week. The whole complex was constantly being cleaned- they never stopped. The restaurant, toilets and pool was spotless. Pool was a little on the small side but was lovely and clean and cool and the beach was only 2 mins walk if you wanted more space. Sun beds were reserved but you could still find some at 9am each day. We were all inclusive and the food was probably what surprised us most. 3* food is normally just edible and very repetitive. This however was superb. Breakfast was everything you wanted including fresh cooked omelettes. Lunch and dinner changed everyday with theme evenings including Italian, Mexican, American, bbq night etc. in fact we the only time any of us had a bad tummy was when we ate outside the hotel! All the staff were also great and friendly too. We had no problem queuing at the bar it was never more than a couple of minutes you just need patience! Overall even the teenagers liked this Hotel for food, cleanliness, staff, rooms and location. Yes it's quiet but there are plenty of places outside for good entertainment

Basically with this hotel you get what you pay for!! we have just returned from a week at this hotel and I have to say on the whole I couldn't really complain, yes the rooms were hot (you are in Teneriffe in the height of summer) and yes some of the amenities were a bit dated but you are not paying for 5* so don't expect it. the food was ok - with fussy kids the constant supply of chips and salad was perfect, you are in a hotel catering for a couple of hundred people, dont expect Gormet! Definitely a hotel aimed at younger family as there really was no entertainment or anything to keep teenagers entertained past 21.00 - just some background music in the bar would have been something! One really negative point was the lack of staff on the bar, we had to double up on every round otherwise you would have spent half the evening at the bar waiting! Also I noticed that the restaurant staff in particular were FAR more attentive to those who were NOT on all inclusive..... I guess thats who they make their tips from etc but I would expect the same level of service for all. Lack of Wifi is going to be an issue for most - in this day and age its not acceptable. The pool & public areas were spotless, the room was clean and ok, could do with some more ventilation in the bathrooms but we managed.
