As a family of four with boys aged 8 & 10, we could not have asked for a better time and resort. Although we booked a two bed apartment, we were given 2 one bed apartments with interconnecting doors- result! 2 lounges, 2 TVs, 2 kitchens,2 balconies, 2 bathrooms and 3 double beds- perfect! The rooms and the whole site was immaculately clean and tidy. It was not over busy- always tables in La Hacienda restaurant and available sunbeds by the pools. Breakfast was amazing and a full range was on offer in the evening- we all tried something new every night! All the staff were friendly and helpful. A mix-up over our transfer to the airport time was sorted out by the Receptionist. Rosemary was brilliant when advising us which excursions would suit our very different boys. She is a great asset and I would advise anyone to go and have a chat! My husband enjoyed swimming daily in the Plaza Verde pool- although he wasn't that happy about the need to wear a swimhat; however he got used to it! The boys loved the free canoes in the lagoon and next time we would definitely hire bikes for a couple of days. TIP: If you like a good morning/afternoon brew- take a couple of mugs & don't forget a tea towel! The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the entertainment & Buddy's Club. Although advertised for up to aged 12, when we were there there wasn't really anything for over 8s. Our boys went for one morning (pirate) and the 8 year old one afternoon (Olympic) but would not return after that. Despite the best intentions of the staff, the fact that the same activities were for 3-12 year old meant that they felt disappointed as the younger ones seemed to take all the attention and the older ones were left quite bored. The advertised activities never really happened- probably due to the huge age range and the fact that the older children didn't go back. I would suggest that the club as split into two age groups??? Also the Junior Disco was quite painful for all those over 7 years old! It reminded me of Holiday Camp entertainment in the 1970s. Saying all that, we found plenty to do and really enjoyed our stay. Would love to come back again!

Just returned from an excellent family here over Easter. Booked & paid for a classic one bedroom apartment through Jet2, then after doing my research on here & the hotel website, decided to contact the hotel to upgrade to a superior room on the Plaza Sol (thanks to Karina in reservations for her help). So glad we did. We had a lovely apartment on the Sol, where there was a play park & lots of families. Our children (aged 12 & 8) made friends in the park & the pool and we could see where they were. The whole complex is very clean and the apartment was cleaned daily. We were half board and the found the food in the Hacienda to be of an excellent standard, both at breakfast & dinner. There are lots of activities going on all day, but you have to go to the Mai Tai pool area if you want to take part. We used the supermarket several times and found it to be reasonably priced. The only down side was the evening entertainment was a little disappointing but just a few minutes walk down the road, you'll find a shopping centre with several bars. Or go on into town and sit in the square with a drink, there's a bandstand with music on, of an evening. Make sure you attend Rosemary's talk in the Soleil bar, she is the fone of all knowledge for Lanzarote and will tell you where to go and, more importantly, where not to go! Overall an excellent family holiday for us, and yes we would definitely return!
This is our third time here. Our villa was spacious and had all that is needed. A shallow child friendly beach at our front door. Kayaks and SUPs free to use for residents. Plenty of activities...

When we arrived we did not expect it to be so nice and beautiful. It was a very pleasent surprise when we walked to the room. There many swimming pools let us say two per 30 rooms average. this hotel is splt as blocks of 30 rooms approx and every block has two pools one for adults and one shallow for kids. Resutrant bars and food is very good. We never had to go out to eat, i am sure it will be bit expensive from out side but worth it. Rooms were very clean and regular house keeping visits mainted that standard. Staff is excelent and very helping fromr eception to resturants to house keeping was great. Kids club or I should say Buddy Club was excellent and kept little kids entertained.
Many people come on holiday to Lanzarote in winter due to it’s renown as a perennially sunny hotspot, with blue skies and winter temperatures averaging around 18° Celsius. It’s the summer peak that the island is famed for though when temperatures soar to around 28° Celsius. If you’re too hot, splash into the pool or get some watersports in on the beach!
