We just got back late August 2015, in our group it was two adults and four kids. I agree with some of the earlier comments about the rooms close to the night entertainment, it's really noisy with uncontrolled kids running around, but that's not the hotels fault, more down to parents not controlling there kids, at 23:00 at night, We where lucky we was in the block away from the entertainment. The usual drama with the sunbeds but in the end everyone always got beds. The white strip around the pool needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency, we witnessed numerous accidents on it the worst was a guy who wasn't running, he was one minute stood with he's daughter then he was over which resulted in an heavy fall and a trip to the hospital for stiches in he's head. The daytime and evening entertainment was ok but very repetitive after two weeks of the same old same. The location of Ficus is an five minute walk to bars and an ten minute walk to the beach. The food in the hotel caterers for all with pently of choice, the staff were pleasant and work hard to look after the guests. Would definitely recommend the Catlanza excursion very enjoyable to all. Personally we don't like going back to the same place on holiday twice but would go back to Ficus again.

On a arrival we were given our key to our room but no other information (meal times etc) Which didn't bode well for the rest of our holiday . The walkways were littered with cups and the hotel looked tired. Once we got in our room we were plesently surprised at the space but unfortunately were shocked to find that the bedroom had a 3cm gap between the blinds so people could see In and my sons bed was broken ! The next day we went to the pool and was astonished at the way the sun loungers were stacked and locked up. People waited for them to get unlocked and literally shoved you out the way to get 5 sun loungers at a time!! This is only a matter of time before someone seriously gets hurt. There are no pool towels even though the website says there are. We then went on to have breakfast and the choice is minimal not a full all inclusive menu. The drinks are not international brands and tasted like fish , disgusting. The food for lunch and dinner was also sparse . The best part were the ice creams and the location was good (about 10mins to the beach ) and the wifi was also ok. We also had a bad experience with the communal toilets being dirty , no handwash (for 3 days) and faeces on the toilet. The overall hotel is very basic and would be better suited if it was self catering . We actually moved hotels as we could not stomach the food and the stress of the 9am sunlounger riot.

what a mixed bag .firstly--rooms,spacious fair sized and well maided tthroughout .lack of drawer space but only a problem if you want it to be. secondly --restaurant,clean spacious and excellent food.thirdly evening entertainment--atrocious , the main entertainers are YOU,the entertainment lads mikey and stui doe their best with the meager resources they are given but if you like mr &mrs----miss ficus and bingo youll love it.NOW the pool!!!! there is one main pool and a childrens pool, these are very nice, but be aware when walking around these, the surrounding surface is lethal. we saw many people both children and adults slipping on this surface. me myself ended up with a free ambulance ride to the hospital requiring 6 stitches after slipping and being unconcious for 5 minutes , the so called sos lifeguards were as much use as a chocolate fireguard, they spend too much time playing on their mobiles,if it hadn't been for mikey the entertainment guy screaming at them to get themselves over to me things could have been a lot worse ,thank you mikey. all in all i will not be going back there in a rush. but this not a bad place to stay just be careful of the POOL!!!!!

My husband and myslef will be returning to Ficus apartments for the 5th time this September, this i think speaks volumes to anyone with any doubts about the resort after reading some of the other reviews. we have never had any issue with any room we have had in the past and with recent refurbishment to the rooms, they are now better than ever. The food as far as we are concerned is very good, the wine and beer are excellent. Staff are pleasant. The entertainment is fine but if not to your taste or if you fancy a change there is a short walk into the lovely picturesque town which offers bars and restaurants. We can't wait for our next visit and I have no doubts at all that it wont be our last
