the Ficus hotel was what you get for 3 star hotel and the appartment is spacious and have walk in showers with very hot water.Myself personally i thought the beds were comfortable. The lounge has a tv with some english programmes mainly the BBC World service for the news and a film channel. We had a problem with the safe which was sorted out by maintinance which turned out to be that the battery had run out,On the balcony were a table and 2 chairs which were just right for your late drink.Overall the appartment was very clean with 3 bath towels and 3 hand towels The eating area was very clean and the food was ok but seemed a bit repetative but it was just as the same you would get in the UK with freshly cooked pork and cracklingnand roast beef also cooked freshly as also the fish was cooked on the hotplate and served by the chef straight onto your plate and a variety of veg.Breakfast was like all hotels with juices and all cereals plus coffee/tea machines and everything you eat as you would at home. Around the pool area there is a bar with plenty of sunbeds and pool games in the afternoon. We went out to eat on 2 nights for a birthday treat and visited the Beijing restaurant which is just down the main road and across to the beach area and i am not telling you lies when i say it was the best chinese food i have ever had a it is buffet with 20 starters and you can have as many starters as you want and the main meal is exactly the same but with about 25 courses to chose from and again you can order as many as you want and all the food is frehly cooked to order. We went on a tour of the volcanoes and up to the Timanfia volcano and was dissappointed as it was just like a cheap PAL trip taking you to various places to try to buy different products but cost 39 euros as with the PAL trips they were free. The evening entertainment was rather poor with bingo.quzzes and some local acts .The drinks were ok and the beer is Amstell and the spirits were the local ones but were still nice to drink and you could order as many as you could carry, Hope i have covered everthing to tell and just as a last note there is a laundry on site if you want to do your washing as my wife used it on the day before coming home as it was all nice and clean coming home and saved her all the worries when we got home of doing the washing. There was 7adults with me and they all said that they all enjoyed there holiday and would come back again.

When we arrived, we thought what the hell have we done .paint around the pool was peeling oh dear ! It was tea time when we settled in to our room. Wow what big apartment, clean and tidy. Two single beds, but did not mind not sleeping with the wife for a week lol. Went down for tea and what a choice of food. We ate well that night . Back in the room there is no air conditioning but we did not need it as was the coldest February in 20 years . Thank you for the blankets ! Wish the blinds in the bedroom blocked out the little sun we did have in the mornings. The next day after a good sleep , opened the balcony doors and looked out to the pool . Lush ! The drink made us quite merry on the odd occasion the sun went in behind the clouds, which was often lol .. food drink and the entertainment was spot on . Thank you for such a great time ! We are looking to go back again x A great bargain hotel x

My second visit to the ficus, perfect for what we want. Nice spacious apartment very clean & drinks aplenty. We drank martini and gin all week very strong. No watering down on those as people suggest. Only really used all Inc for breakfast and the occasional dinner but food was always tasty with a wide variety of choice. Entertainment was a bit ropey can see it not being the best for children. Was back in November with Kim and Liam entertainment was a lot better then Any question just ask
