Hotel Playa Bonita is a great hotel in the heart of popular Playa del Inglés, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the sandy beach and sea, and a few minutes from shopping centres Kasbah and Metro.
We wouldn’t really recommend it for families or couples due to its close proximity to Playa del Inglés’s lively bars and clubs, but it’s a great choice for groups of friends looking for a simple, affordable hotel to use as a base on a fun filled holiday.

This hotel is modern and clean. Rooms are spacious and bathroom also. Our first problem was that despite booking a double room we got a twin room, so slept on the double sofa bed. Twin beds are not suitable for everyone and I cannot understand why they dont have double beds. The food is plentiful but breakfast in particular is lacking in choice, apart from when cauliflower and chips are put out. If you like chips 3 times a day for 2 weeks you will be okay. Also, rooms facing the road like ours (despite asking for a pool view which we were told would be likely) are very loud. This is also nesr the bar if you are in block 2, very loud music until midnight! The entertainment staff and bar staff are the most lovely and helpful people, always running around and smiling. They made thr trip great. The besch isnt far. Despite the rule to not reserve sunbeds peoplr get up and do so anyway and the cleaners dont comment, makes it hard to be near the pool. Some even leff them overnight! The wifi is very weak in block 2! no chance of using it at peak times like the evening. Overall a good hotel, but average.

We're just back after a 1 week all inc stay and it was fab. The hotel is modern & spotless. The food was lovely & plenty of it. I honestly cannot fault it. I've yet to stay in an all inc hotel were there aren't wee queues at the bar at times. Yes, if you're not fast you're last, so you won't get the sunbed/parasol of your choice. Folk were out sunbathing at 9am as the weather was toasty. The beds were getting used. We didn't come here to watch TV or use the web. I did get bang up to date on world affairs watching Al Jazeera the odd time we put the TV on. The entertainment passed the time whilst we had a few drinks at night, some was better than others. We joined in when we wanted to, no hassles. We had a great time here, totally relaxed, ate & drank to our hearts content. I highly recommend it x I hope the staff keep the hotel in such good condition as this is what puts it ahead of other 4 stars we have stayed in all over the Canaries.

The hotel is exactly as expected. The rooms are spacious and modern, TV channels are limited (Especially English channels) however this shouldn't be a major issue. The bathrooms are pleasantly modern too unlike many hotels who have leave it to tire. Beds are very noisy, any movement and they skid across the floor which can be heard in neighbouring rooms. A double bed is simply two beds put together which isn't that great Around the pool has limited sun time because of the positioning of the hotel rooms either side which blocks the sun early/later on in the day, however plenty of space around the corner which has sun continuously during the day, beware the fake grass and the tiled floor gets very hot from the sun so walking bare foot is not recommended. The pool itself is of decent size, however is cold at first to enter but is all right once in and swimming around. Activities during the day are limited; you have one table tennis area and a pool table (for one euro). They also offer water polo on a daily basis, and aqua aerobics and some yoga a few mornings a week. Was a little sad that table tennis competitions only happen once a week (however water polo is daily) only because it was on the day we arrived so missed it, and on day we left so we never got the opportunity to play. The food is fantastic for all inclusive. Every lunch there is chips and pizza for sure, (as something everyone can eat) but other than that they constantly change the food to give a variety. They have different themed nights such as oriental or spanish food nights so you can try different foods. I wish they had labelled foods on the desert table because most of it was unrecognisable so would have been good to know what was there. Drinks are also good. Be careful when asking for mixers such as vodka and coke because they do not measure the alcohol content so can be an over bearing amount in one drink which is not pleasant. Overall i would recommend this hotel, the hotel is only down the road from the beach which wasn't that pleasant for us however may be to other tastes. Easy to walk down the promenade in the evenings if you want to get out of the hotel for a while between food and entertainment. The entertainment isn't that bad, no-one expects 5* entertainment. The team work hard on their dance shows and often have outside entertainers in. They are different each evenings so isn't always to everyones tastes, but suits others at times too. It has a good variance. There are bars along the promenade which also offer entertainment such as Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators which are very favourable. There is a main road located at the back of the hotel, which if room facing (like we had) you can hear the road at night, which for those who are easily affected by this I would recommend a different room. We didn't have children, but could see there was organised things for them. A mini-club for them is available and they go play in the park on-site and do colouring and other stuff from what I saw.

Visited the playa Bonita in June 2015, It has recently been refurbished to a 4 star graded hotel and the rooms are a nice comfortable size and very clean, however there is still some work being carried out there at the moment but to be honest it didn't affect our stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the pool and surrounding areas are vary clean. The restaurant is also very clean and the staff are very good with fresh meat and fish cooked every night the only issue with the food is that it tends to be to much the same most meals, The entertainment is not very good but the entertainment team are fab and try their best. Good bars near by with the yumba centre worth a visit for shops and bars and is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The beach is only a few minutes walk but there are steps down to it .Overall we enjoyed our stay here .
Gran Canaria enjoys year-round warm temperatures and sunshine with very little seasonal variation. Summers are hot and dry while winters are slightly cooler with some showers. Like the rest of the island, Playa del Ingles has year round warm temperatures making it a hugely popular choice during the cold British winter.
